My education started early in life. I graduated from high school and directly after I went to nursing school. I became a nurse at the tender age of 19 and haven't looked back yet. I absolutely love nursing!

Women should always find ways to uplift themselves and the other women that they come in contact with. If you see something you like in another woman, tell them! We are all in this journey of life together!

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

My pageant history is very short lol. It is so short in fact that this will be my first national pageant experience. I am looking forward to diving into the pageant world and making my mark!

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

What inspired me to do my first pageant is actually quite simple, I always wanted to do a pageant since I was a little girl! I was the one always looking at Miss America and Miss USA growing up with such excitement and wonder. The pageant experience has helped me to build confidence and also helped me to step outside of my comfort zone. National Miss Curvy has also helped me to promote my platform childhood cancers and blood disorders, an issue near and dear to my heart. I also have met some wonderful people along the way which definitely helps!

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

I chose to join National Miss Curvy simply because of the support and love shown by the system. In pageantry, it is easy to get lost in the shuffle, but that is not the case with National Miss Curvy. The director, Amber Neff, and fellow contestants go out their way to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. You feel like part of a family not just part of a pageant system. I like to call it the "Silver State Pageant Effect" and it definitely makes a difference.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

National Miss Curvy, is a part of the Silver State Pageants system. National Miss Curvy is a pageant for curvy women of all ages to promote body positivity, sisterhood and volunteerism. National Miss Curvy promotes getting out in the world and making a difference not just being a pretty face. If you are a curvy girl, please feel free to join me in November, I would love to have you join us!

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? During our competition, we are being judged on interview, talent, on-stage question, fun fashion, and evening gown.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. As I like to often say, the best is yet to come. The pageant is not until November 2021, but so far I am having an incredible experience in this competition. I am growing by leaps and bounds throughout this process and learning so much daily!

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. My platform is childhood cancer and blood disorders. I chose this platform because it personal to me both as a nurse, and as an aunt to wonderful nephew with Sickle Cell Disease and Thalasemia. I saw first hand the issues that was had by his mother and I wanted to help alleviate some stress for both the children and their parents of these disorders. Simply put, I wanted to bring a smile to their face and that is what I have been doing with this platform!

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

With my title I have made several appearances, some of which include, volunteering with I Love Yorba Linda, Second Harvest Food Bank, the Red Cross and more! I have also done walks for Colon Cancer and Autism Awareness. I have given goodies to Ronald Mcdonald House, the local firefighters and the Salvation Army. This is only the beginning as there is more to come, look out world!

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

One of my biggest achievements was joining National Miss Curvy as National Ms. Curvy California. Some of my other achievements in life include being Who's Who's among High School and College students, Nurse of the Year for several years, President's Education Award x4 years, President's Service Award x4 years and simply being able to volunteer for many important causes just to name a few!

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

I would say like to start of by saying all the contestants in my pageant are beautiful and wonderful in their own way. The only thing that sets me apart from the rest is my unique personality and gifts. No one is exactly the same, so these things would set me apart from the rest.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

When I was announced as National Ms. Curvy California, it was such an exciting moment for me. All of the feelings I had from my childhood came rushing to me at once. I instantly thought of the impact I could make in my community, my state and my nation by having this title. This title is bigger than me, it is for everyone that I could potentially help in this world!

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

A Beauty Queen is someone who exudes beauty both inside and out. She is someone who uses her inner beauty to be a role model for others to follow and makes an impact in society for the better! A beauty queen is loving, selfless and always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. She is fierce!

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

Competing in beauty pageants has helped me to become more outgoing and it is provided a mechanism for me to bring light to my platform, childhood cancers and blood disorder awareness. I am able to use this crown to bring more awareness to these things in my life.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

National Miss Curvy has helped my self esteem and body image by allowing myself and others see that it is okay to be a different size or shape. Beauty comes in all forms and types and, National Miss Curvy, brings awareness to this and allows me to make a difference everyday in this world.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

I love that I am an inspiration to all the girls out there. It is wonderful to know that I have people are looking up to me. I hope that I am bringing awareness to all the curvy girls out there to let them know that you too can make a difference out here. All it takes is heart, hard work and dedication!

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

My strategy is simple, nothing crazy or magical, I plan to be myself and let my true personality shine through! I think a lot people overthink this part or try to portray themselves as someone that they are not. My saying is this, " Let the true you shine on through".

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I am preparing for my competition by practicing, practicing and more practicing. I am also taking time to get to know myself better by figuring out where I stand on important issues and just having fun along the way!

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

Again the term practice, practice and more practice comes into play lol. Take the time to observe the greats and put your own personal pizazz on it. Make your walk your own, have confidence and own it!

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? Choose a dress that is comfortable and that you instantly fall in love with! Have a dress that compliments your skin tone or is possibly your favorite color. It is really up to you, but let your dress match your personality and allow your true beauty to shine through! Simply put, be you!

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

A tip for a winning interview is be yourself! Let your personality shine! Let the judges see the the wonderful, quirky, magnificent and loving person you are! You are a star!

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

This is actually yet to be determined, but I would probably say it has to do with taking the time to relax and breathe deep. I am working on my relaxation techniques as we speak, hopefully they will help lol.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

I think the mistake that a lot of girls make during pageants is forgetting to take a moment to have fun! It is easy to get wrapped up in the heat of competition, I get it lol, after all it is a competition. But take a moment to laugh, dance and take it all in. It goes by so fast, so just take time to enjoy yourself and your pageant sisters. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

When I was younger I actually went to acting and modeling school. I used to do voice-over commercials on the radio and it was an absolute blast! I would love the opportunity to do that again if it became available!

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2021 as a Queen?

My plans for 2021 as a Queen are pretty simple. I plan to be a brand ambassador for National Miss Curvy and Silver State Pageants by utilizing social media. I also plan to have fun and bring more awareness to my platform and volunteer for other causes throughout my community. I will continue to be an advocate for curvy women everywhere and to be bring light to body positivity.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want to leave the legacy behind of joy, prosperity and happiness. I want people to know that is okay to be different and uniquely you! I want them to know that true beauty comes from within. You can do anything and everything you set your mind to! Anything is possible with a little elbow grease, hard work and dedication. All of these make you a true winner, not just winning a crown!
