While holding the appreciation award for creating Pageant’s showstopper cake in 2019 my child asked me “mom, why didn’t they give you that beautiful crown? I want you to have that” it stayed in my head and when I saw opportunity, I decided to stand on the stage to see the pride into those tiny little eyes for his mom. Being bullied for looks and facing body shaming for years I felt Mrs. India USA is the only platform I can work on polishing my self-confidence as well as physical, mental awareness in society. Also doing some community service for my self-peace. I chose to compete again because my job is not done, there is still much work to be done in order to change the stigma of depression, body shaming and bullying. I have been given a platform, a voice, a chance to make changes for the better, and I am in no way done yet.
