World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself. My name is Farisha Abdoelrahman. I am 20 years old. I am currently in my graduation year of the Event Management course. At the moment I am intensively busy with the preparations for the next edition of Miss India Holland. Taj Events is the organisation that organizes Miss India Holland. I am also involved in other events that are also organized by Taj Events.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
She is clothed in strength and dignity, ans she laughs without fear of the future. To feel like a queen is as simple as believing you are one. A successful women is one who can build a firm foundation with bricks others have thrown at her.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
In 2018 I was participating my first pageant. I was scouted for Miss India Holland. Participating a beauty pageant or becoming a model was never one of my dreams. The idea of standing in the spotlights scared me already before I even signed myself in for the pageant. I was very insecure about myself and shy. With the support of my family i eventually signed in for the competition. I was surprised because I started to like the pageant world. Once I past the audition, I started a trajectory of 17 weeks. I learned a lot about myself. There was so much more in me. I discovered my strengths and talents. Miss India Holland helped me to develop these talents. Because of this my motivation became stronger. I am glad to say that I'm the winner of Miss India Holland 2019.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
What inspired me the most is the challenge. I was looking for a new challenge in my life. It also inspired me that seeing all those girls who were insecure about themself doing beauty pageants and turning insecurity into power. I look up to insecure women who turn themselves into a power women. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I had the opportunity to participate in a beauty pageant. I took this opportunity with both hands and it eventually earned me the winning title.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Miss India Holland is a beauty pageant for girls with Indian roots. This beauty pageant is once a year. It It's not only about the beauty. Beauty is only a part of the whole competition. Commitment and presentation capacity are factors that count as much as beauty. The goal of Miss India Holland is to offer women a platform where they can develop at a higher level and profile themselves in society.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
Catwalk, pitch, walk rounds and question round.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
Backstage I was really nervous. There were moments that i was afraid to go on stage. But I didn't give up. Once i was on stage, no one could see that i was nervous and i was shining like the sun
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I am working as a volunteer for youth and i am helping them to get the best version out of them. I can inspire them with my knowledge and experience.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
Festivals, judging in the Mister International The Netherlands, different kind of fashion shows and society drinks.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
My confidence had grown a lot. As a human being I develop myself a lot. Besides I am a role model for other girls.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
We are all beautiful girls but I am that beauty who believes in other beauties.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
The moment my name was announced was indescribable! I couldn’t believe it. It was like everything around me was just like a dream.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
It means a lot of responsibility. A lot of people look up to you. As a queen your are a role model for other girls.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
Participation in Miss India Holland really changed me in positive way. I was really shy and insecure about myself. Miss India Holland helped me to become from a insecure girl to a women with confidence.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
I am giving much more attention to what i am eating now. I drink a lot more water and I am now three times a week vegetarian. It is not only good fort he world but also good for my health. I am aware how important it is to have a pure skin.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It is a big responsibility because I know that a lot people are watching me now. On the other hand it makes me a more beautiful person so others can see my appearance and wants to becoming me.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
keep smiling, no matter what happens.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I had a 17 weeks trajectory. Which I learned a lot of skills from the team of Miss India Holland. They prepared me fort he finals.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Walking is not a style. It is art. you should admire art and that’s why my advice is to admire the best because you can learn from that.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
Choose the right color. Let someone who knows you the best give you advice on the field of design. That person looks on a different way as you look at your self.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
Be honest, be yourself because a lot of girls around the whole world love to read your story and wants to be like you.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
Don't believe that everyone is your best friend. because not everyone is meaning it with you.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
at the moment they start a beauty pageant they already think they won the crown without doing anything for it.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
I have been modelling for different kinds of brands and companies and I also have walked in clothes from fashion designers.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen?
Doing more international pageant and also walking for famous designers on catwalks in Italy and Paris.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
The legacy that I want to leave behind is that people know me as a careful person who had helped many models and Misses with their model career. To achieve this, i am now a coach for the new candidates of Miss India Holland.
