World Class Princess Magazine: Please tell us about yourself.

I am a ten year old girl in the fourth grade McCormick in Farmington, New Mexico.  I am half Mexican, one quarter Navajo Indian and one quarter Caucasia.  I live in the Four Corners region where the states of Colorado, Utah, New Mexico and Arizona meet.  My grandfather on my mom's side was Navajo and built a house on the reservation in Arizona.  I like to go there, especially with my cousins, to play and hike.  I like to go visit Colorado where there are high mountains and a lot of snow in winter.  I like to go sledding.  I like to play with my friends and have sleep overs.  My favorite foods are posole, pasta and pizza.  I also like playing with my pets.

World Class Princess Magazine: What does women empowerment mean to you?

It means to speak up for women's rights.  It means that I, as a girl, can do and be anything.  I can be proud of who I am and the things I do.

World Class Princess Magazine: Tell about your pageant history.

In 2016 I was Little Miss Latinita Farmington.  In 2017 I had the title of Little Miss Latinita San Juan County, and in 2018 I earned the title of Little Miss Latinita New Mexico. Now in 2019 I have the title of Young Miss Latinita Mexico US.

World Class Princess Magazine: What inspired you to do the first pageant?

My friend, Valeria Adriana Marquez Mejia, inspired me to do it to get me out of my comfort zone because I was shy at the time.  I wanted to try something new.

World Class Princess Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

I just completed my reign as Little Miss Latinita New Mexico.  After representing the state I want to try for something bigger.  I want to push myself to try different things.

Would Class Princess Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what it is about. It is about confidence, not being shy, and helping others and celebrating our Mexican heritage.

World Class Princess Magazine: What are you being judged on during the competition?

How you model your dresses,  if you are having fun on stage and your walk.  Always smile!

World Class Princess Magazine: Tell us about your experience during competition.

I had a great time.  It was a lot of fun.  I felt confident when I went up on stage.  I've learned so much from the other girls who have been so happy to help me.

World Class Princess Magazine: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

I have volunteered at a fundraiser for Domestic Violence.  I also did a cancer walk and helped at a lemonade stand where we were raising money for cancer.

World Class Princess Magazine: What appearance have you done with your title?

I attended and helped with a fund raiser for New Beginnings transitional housing for domestic violence and also attended a domestic violence prevention lunch.  I worked at Kelly's lemonade stand to earn money for cancer research.  I attended several San Juan County events like parades and fairs.  I went to El Grito in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I represented at NHCC children's book festival.  I also helped at several local library events.  The Unique Image Car Show was a lot of fun.  I also had a great time helping with the Over Eighties Luncheon at River Stone Church where I handed out the gifts to the ladies being honored and helped serve lunch.  I was in the annual Fourth of July parade.

World Class Princess Magazine: What are some of your achievements?

At school I received the PAX  PEEP award for good classroom behavior, helping my classmates and being a good student.  I was on the AB honor roll and received a Reading Award.  I also received first place in the recycled materials fashion award at River fest for the best costume in my age category.
