World Class Princess Magazine: Please tell us about yourself.
I am in the 4th grade and currently homeschooled. I have 1 brother and 2 Dalmatians. I live in San Diego with my parents who both have and are serving in the military. My favorite thing to do is art and my favorite kind of animal is a pig. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 2 years old and recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease. I wear an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor to help manage my condition.
World Class Princess Magazine: What does women Empowerment mean to you? Women empowerment means that you support all girls all the time. It means that if you go to a pageant and don’t win, but another girl does, you are happy for them and support them. It means to go to pageants to cheer on all queens. I love women empowerment because I believe we should all support one another.
World Class Princess Magazine: Tell us about your pageant history. I began pageants in 2015 where I won my 1st title as Jr. Miss Rancho California. I then went on to win the 1st Jr. Miss El Cajon title. I wanted to try different systems so I competed in Miss California Regional Pageant and became the Jr. Preteen California titleholder. This is when I began to develop a passion for meeting other titleholders and trying new systems. In 2019, I represented USA National Miss as their San Diego and California Princess I also had the opportunity to compete and win the Preteen California North America title. While I haven’t done many pageants, I am excited for my future and this summer when I compete for the Little Miss Regency International title.
World Class Princess Magazine: What inspired you to do your first pageant? I saw Sierra Sandison Miss Idaho 2014 on the Miss America stage and she wore her insulin pump in the bathing suit contest. It inspired me to show girls that you no matter how young you are, you can set an example and make a difference even if you have a disability.
World Class Princess Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? My current title is appointed but I chose to represent El Salvador because my grandparents and family live there. My Grandmother passed away a few years ago and I want to represent this title in honor of her.
World Class Princess Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? The Regency International Pageant is not just about being beautiful, but it is about being a positive role model in your community.
World Class Princess Magazine: What are you being judged on during the competition? During the competition, you are judged on interview, fun fashion, photogenic and evening wear.
World Class Princess Magazine: Tell us about your experience during the competition. I will compete this summer but so far have had a great experience with the director! Miss Terri Dingle is very quick at responding to questions and cares about her titleholders.
World Class Princess Magazine: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. My platform is Type I Diabetes Awareness because I was diagnosed when I was 2 years old and not many people are aware of the symptoms or required care. Type 1 is an auto immune condition and not developed because of your diet.
World Class Princess Magazine: What appearances have you done with your title? I have gone to other pageants to support titleholders from other systems, and attended a parade.
World Class Princess Magazine: What are some of your achievements? I have earned the Gold President Volunteer Service Award for the last 4 years. Last year I also received Perfect Attendance at school.
World Class Princess Magazine: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? I stand out because I have a passion for community service and helping others. I truly like to see others happy and watch them win at pageants.
World Class Princess Magazine: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. My current title was appointed, but if I were to win the pageant this summer I would cry because it would be my first time winning such a big title and I know that I could make a huge difference because I would have a larger community to share my platform with.
World Class Princess Magazine: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? When you are a beauty queen, it means hard work. It means to set a positive example for others and to always be kind. It also means making a difference in your community by finding what ways you can help.
World Class Princess Magazine: How did competing in pageants helped your life? Competing in pageants helped me to better understand the importance of helping others and giving back. It also helped me to share my platform which has made me stronger over the last few years.
World Class Princess Magazine: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? Pageants helped my self esteem and body image because I think it’s okay to be who you are and learn to love you, for you. It also taught me to show off the things that make you different because that’s okay!
World Class Princess Magazine: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? I never considered myself an inspiration but it feels good because I want other girls to learn that it’s okay if you have a medical condition or wear a medical device, because you can still do what you want and achieve your dreams.
World Class Princess Magazine: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? I love to show the judges my smile and personality.
World Class Princess Magazine: How did you prepare for your competition? I like to practice in my living room and recently just found a new pageant coach.
World Class Princess Magazine: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? My tips for learning a better pageant walk is to practice, and watch previous winners. I also believe you should keep your head up and shoulders down.
World Class Princess Magazine: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? When picking your pageant dress you should choose something that makes you feel comfortable.
World Class Princess Magazine: What are your tips for winning interview? In order to win interview, you should just be yourself! Show the judges who you are!
World Class Princess Magazine: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? One mistake I did that I would want to redo is tripping over my gown. You want to make sure that it is not too long in the front.
World Class Princess Magazine: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? Sometimes we as contestants get nervous and then don’t do our best. It’s important to just have fun and be yourself.
World Class Princess Magazine: Any modeling or acting experience? I recently walked in NYFW 2.0 and LAFW Sanctuary week. It was so much fun! I have not had any acting experience but would love to see myself on the big screen one day.
World Class Princess Magazine: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen? My plans for 2020 is to travel, meet more pageant queens, and have a great year!
World Class Princess Magazine: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want people to think of me as being brave, strong, kind, caring, and compassionate.
