I’m a complete nature lover, and believe saving the planet should be focused on a lot more. I love animals, I have 3 dogs. In the future I want to go to university and expand my business!
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
Women Empowerment to me means, being able to feel comfortable in your own skin/environment and influencing other women to do so as well.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
I started pageants about 2 years ago with Marylin Mercado at Miss Teen Horizonte, it was my first pageant and I was unprepared. Then I was crowned Miss Teen Honduras US Latina under the miss Florida Latina organization with Margarita Hernandez, I also competed at national level in Miss Teen US Latina and had the experience of a lifetime.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
What inspired me to do my first pageant was that I knew I would be getting into a sisterhood with other girls, this made me feel like I would mature and make new friends.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I love representing the country of Honduras, I am so proud of where my family comes from, so it was an honor for me to compete and win this title.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
My pageant system is from Miss Florida Latina. It is an empowerment system for Latina women who are a good example to other women. We focus on how women can be more than just house wives, and how we can break stereotypes. We show everyone that we are more than a model, but a Role model.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
We are being judged on our platform and how much we value our Hispanic culture. How we handle being a role model and if we can make a difference.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
I loved my experience I met so many amazing girls, who all had a unique story. I grew as a woman and our pageant director Margarita Hernandez encouraged everyone to have a good time.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
My business in choreography helps families who are not financially stable enough, to still live the dream of having an amazing quinceañera. I myself did not have a quinceanera so it motivated me to help other girls get what I couldn’t. I also worked with PREPA foundation which helps teens stay in school and stay out of drugs.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
I’ve attended fashion shows and community events where I can promote our pageant system.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
Some of my achievements are having my own business since the age of 15, starting a dance club at my highschool, and helping other girls with their self esteem. My future plans are to graduate highschool in 2020 and start college !
