World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.

Well, I’m arequipenian’s woman, I studied law in San Pablo’s University in Arequipa-Peru. I graduated as a lawyer in 2019. I got married when I was 23 years old, and I was a mother at 23 too. I’m proud about that, because I finished my university degree, despite being

mother. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?

For me, it means the innovative attitude, of the women in the world. It means the way that the women accept the challenges today’s life. We’re showing that we can do everything that we want. Besides, women who achieve goals, inspired the others to fight for theirs dreams.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

I started in the beauty pageants by chance. In fact, I never thought in participating in beauty pageants in my life. I started late, I was 27 years old an I already had a son, but one day, a local producer invited me for a little contest in spring of 2018. I had a good memories about “High school model”, because they taught me catwalk and modeling. Since then, I discovered a new hobby for me, and I started to participate in beauty contests.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

I was inspired, because, I wanted to start doing new things, to have more goals and objectives. I think, I always wished to be a beauty queen, but I never dared.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

Because, the “Latinoamerica pageant Queen’s” director, invited me to participate. Despite the pandemic and the difficult time, I decided to participate. I felt that life after all must go on. Besides, I wished to represent my country.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

Well, “Latinoamerica Queen” is a typical beauty contest. It consist of a week of activities, like visit touristic places, the interview with the jury, and photoshoot I the main places of the city.

In the interview, we spoke about the female empowerment, that was an interesting night, because we exchange ideas. Finally, on the night of the coronation, participants must do the catwalk in a swim suit, and gala dress. Then, the jury choose the winners.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

There are many aspects; like the project that we exposed in the interview, the catwalking, the dress. I think the most important about being a beauty queen is to be a complete woman, it mean that I can be a fashion woman, an at the same time be intelligent and proactive.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

I had a nice experience, I met new people to other countries, I loved the photoshoot and the exchange of ideas in the project exhibition.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

I’m volunteer in an association that helps abused and abandoned women. I help giving legal advice.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

I got the tittle last week, so I’m very happy to have been chosen as Mr. Latinoamerica 2020. In fact, this is my first appearance.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

I think my main achievement was to graduate as a lawyer, being a mother and wife at the same time. I’m proud about the family that I have, we’re very close. I think the best achievements in life are the ones that make you happy.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

He truth, I guess I knew how to sustain my social project and model on the catwalk.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

It was a wonderful moment, I was so nervous. It feels like everything is in slow motion.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

Being a beauty queen, is to represent the femininity of women which is a conjunction between beauty and strength.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

The pageants helped me to be more self-confident, to raise my self-esteem and to be more organized, because I have to divided my time between beauty pageants, my family and my carrier.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your self-esteem and body image?

It helps me a lot, because I learned to value myself more and improve the image that I projected to others, looking more confident.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

I think is a big responsibility, because I about being a model of life, not only a pretty face, it also about being a whole person.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

I don’t have any strategy, I only try to be myself.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

First, I prepare my catwalk routine, then I prepare the interview, and last, the outfits that I’m going to wear.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

I practice what I learned before the contest, and I’m inspired by catwalks in the other countries.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

I don’t have a specific tip, but I try to choose bright colors and with many rhinestones.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

I think the main tip is to talk about a topic that you know, maybe something related to your work or your life. If the organization give you a topic, you should read a lot.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

Yes, in my first experience, I answered a question using philosophical terms, which was not very appropriate.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

I think that It is more common to fail on the catwalk or when choosing the right dress.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

Not at all, I’m only participate in a few runways in my city.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2021 as a Queen?

I will try to capture my project idea through the association to which I belong. World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I would like to leave a mark on the organization through my actions in favor of those most in need.
