I was born in Delhi, the elder of two siblings. And currently residing in Bengaluru, India's Silicon Valley, with my Husband, Neeraj and two kids.

World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education.

I did my schooling in Delhi and then moved to Bangalore to pursue my Graduation in Hotel Management & PGDBM. After completing my education I worked with Hotel Park Royal for 3 years in Delhi.

After my marriage I moved to Bengaluru again. My in-laws are educationists. We run two schools in Gaya. After marriage, I was expected to take care of the schools too. Therefore, to fulfill the same and also do justice to the onerous responsibility of taking on the Principal's role, I decided to complete my B.A., M.A. and B. Ed.

I was officially associated with the School (CBSE syllabus) as a Principal for 1 year after I completed my B.Ed.

Today I am a Partner in my husband's company and also oversee the functioning of our School. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?

Women Empowerment doesn't mean making women more or as powerful as Men. Woman empowerment is letting a woman do what she wants by granting political, social, and economical power to women.

There is no limit to what we as women can accomplish. Each time a woman stands up for herself she stands for all women.

There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

I have been modeling since I was15. I competed at my first pageant in 2018. I have competed in two pageant systems and both pageants were such an amazing experience and I loved my entire journey. I was First Runner Up of Mrs. Nilgiris 2018 – QUEEN OF HILLS. I won two sub-titles namely “The Fitness Icon” and “Most Popular award”

Then, In 2019, I Won the State level pageant and Represented Karnataka at National level in a beauty pageant. There I was crowned as Mrs. India IMP 2019. It was truly a great experience. I made some of the best friends and beautiful memories for lifetime.

Currently I am holding the Title of “Mrs INDIA - I am Powerful -2019” WORLDWIDE Ambassador. Soon I'll be representing India at International Level, at Singapore for Mrs. Worldwide.

I have been involved with numerous local, state, and national pageants as a titleholder, judge and mentor.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

My answer to this would be that these pageants give a platform to voice our opinions, to showcase our talents, represent ourselves and express what we feel and experience a sense of achievement. We can keep our opinion in front of more number of people, and if we really want to change something in this world, these pageants are one of the best option. We can emphasis more on any social evil in society being in a pageant, and can also work for it.

When I first participated in the pageant I had a platform and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Winning a pageant, aside from all of the physical prizes, comes with a lot of opportunities! The winner is awarded the chance to be a representative for her community, state, country, which is such an honor. Along with that, I’m sure modeling and traveling opportunities open up. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

Well, it's one of the best platforms to find the visibility, increase confidence, and showcase my talent in front of the world. Also people idolize who win such contests. I think that this is the best platform to motivate and inspire people for fitness.

Most import after winning the current tittle I got an opportunity to be called as Mrs. India. I am Powerful Worldwide Ambassador and soon I would be able to show the culture and beauty of my country in Mrs. Worldwide contest in Singapore.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

Competing in a pageant takes up a ton of time, requires a tremendous amount of energy and focus. After winning the main title Mrs. India I am Powerful, Worldwide Ambassador, I got associated with many charitable trust as a part of the job of the titleholder.

I am going to represent India in Mrs. Worldwide at Singapore. Its a great honour for me. I am really looking forward to learn and exchange cultural values and knowledge with other participants in a competitive environment.

As a Titleholder I attend events regarding charity, educate others by giving speeches and talks and also organize fundraisers.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

During the competition I have been judged on physical attributes, personality traits, intelligence, talent, and my ability to answer judges questions. Judges look for your catwalk, poses and turns, the ease and creativity with which you execute combinations, your glide and how you use the stage is an important part of the pageant.

Contestants are also judged on the bases of attires, intelligence, stage presence personality, communication skills and confidence.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

Going into competition I didn’t know what to expect and I thought everyone was going to be really competitive and fearless but It was actually really fun and I met a lot of new and interesting people. Competing in this pageant was a great confidence booster. There is so much to gain from pageants if you enter with the right mindset. Getting out of your comfort zone will lead to personal growth. I learnt a lot about myself, my strengths, weaknesses, and what I needed to further improve on. I was never been outspoken in school, but I have finally found the place where I can shine and have fun, and I recommend pageants to anyone. It is such an empowering and enjoyable experience.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for?

My platform is for spreading awareness about fitness and holistic lifestyle amongst women. I am guiding, encouraging, training and motivating lots of house wife and young girls for healthy life style and fitness. My aim is to eradicate lifestyle related obesity from our society.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

Well, my beauty represents the woman as a whole. I am the perfect package of modern woman who is positive, confident, hard working that can inspire and motivate people for fitness.

For me, I am not the tallest woman, prettiest face, best or perfect body, but I am ME. I have accomplished many things over the years and can walk a confident walk.

My Unique quality is my sheer discipline, dedication and determination. Once I decide to do something, I never back out.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

The moment my name was called out as a winner and the crown touched my head, I had a ball of emotions trapped which was finally released. I had worked so hard and watching your dream come true is the best feeling in life! I told myself that it is only the beginning of a beautiful journey. It took time for the feeling to sink in, but I am enjoying every bit of it.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

Beauty Queen isn't about having a pretty face, it's about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and a pretty soul. Beauty means feeling comfortable in your own skin and appreciating your imperfections and having confidence in yourself.

A Queen is someone who is empathetic and puts themselves in others shoes to be able to relate and help others through their struggles. She is unique and that is what makes her the role model that she is.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

Participating in pageants is opportunity for massive self discovery and personal transformation. I enjoyed one-of-a-kind experiences that I will take with me forever. The entire preparation process is incredibly valuable because, no matter how far you go in your pageant career, the lessons you learn along the way will help you achieve amazing things over and over again.

First, the only way to overcome your fears and grow as a person is to challenge yourself by getting out of your comfort zone.

Second, I had made life-long friendships and and a support network. Many of my close friends now are girls whom I’ve met through the program.

You’ll belong to the alumni and be able to get involved in future events even if you’re not competing.

Third, you learn how to present yourself because while competing in pageants might have helped teach me how to style my hair and do my make up, I also realized that my clothes and the effort I put into my appearance, gives the first impression.

Fourth, you learn how to take care of yourself physically and mentally.

Fifth, you learn how to dedicate yourself to being into competition and cultivating a talent worthy Mrs. India requires hours, days, years, even decades of practice.

Finally, you learn how to sort through your thoughts and feelings on a variety of topics and develop the ability communicate those opinions in an eloquent way.

It’s the reason why I believe every young lady should compete in a pageant at least once in their life because you have the potential to learn more about yourself in that one experience than many people learn throughout their entire life.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

I experienced that beauty pageants are an excellent way for young women to build self-esteem and confidence. It teaches girls how to be graceful losers and that the winners of these contents can have a stunning career.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

It feels so good when people compliment me. When I get compliment from my friends, family and even from unknown people. Sometime they want to know about my diet, workout, running schedule or sometime about how to lose weight, toning up workout or just wanted to look fit. Sometimes people even say that they started their workout or running or wanted to participate in beauty pageant seeing my performance. It's the biggest reward for me. I feel satisfied when I can empower other women in this way.

To be a titleholder, is a great honour but at the same time there is a sense of responsibility. Knowing that some people look at me as a role model so need to act accordingly with better vision and insight.

I think its a big responsibility, because its about being a model of life, not only a pretty face, it also about being a whole person.

What is your on-stage strategy to win the judges over?

What I think is when you’re on stage, you should portray yourself sincerely. That’s why I never make any strategy before going on the stage. I feel that if I’m myself, I would be able to win everybody’s hearts. The judges are blessed with enough intellect and wisdom to detect any presence which any participant would dare to put upon to impress and make a disclaim.

So the strategy would be to portray me as I am, be honest in my interactions and be self-assured in my body language.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

In order to prepare for a beauty pageant you need to work on every aspect of your personality. Be it physical or mental health. You need to meticulously improve your personality.

I learnt the walk, makeup, researched on the pageant and worked on my body. Twice a day I workout and eat clean healthy protein rich food. I also gained experience by doing print shoots, but I have always been comfortable in front of the camera.

For talent round - Practice until you can perform your talent flawlessly. This will give you confidence on stage and eliminate nerves.

For interview, read! Read online news sites and become familiar with issues that are affecting your country and your demographic. Form opinions and be able to defend your positions.

For evening gown, practice walking in heels. Practice your stage walk until it is smooth and effortless. Practice turns and poses. This will give you poise on stage.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

The walk and posture is very important which shows your personality and confidence. So we need to keep practicing this and record your walk to improve and perfect it.

Right pair of heels are also very important for the comfortable walking along with your expressions. While on stage we need to connect with the judges to show your personality. Always calm your mind before entering the stage and walk with the confidence and natural smile.

Your aura is most important when you walk the ramp. Practice & knowledge is the best method to improve your skill.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

Pageant dresses and gowns can make or break a contestant. One of the most important factors to consider when choosing a pageant dress is color.

Knowing your body shape is vitally important while selecting a dress. Always choose a dress that compliments your shape. You will also need to ensure that the dress fits perfectly. You want to make sure that you choose a gown that looks smashing, but not trashy. So Research on the color that would flatter you and Look for a fabric that would complement you.

Choosing the best pageant dress is critical to ensuring that you have given the competition your very best effort.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

Tips for winning interview -

Remain optimistic and do not panic.

Know your facts and opinions.

Practice .

Try to keep an eye contact with the judges.

Keep a straight posture and look elegant.

Get your paperwork in tip top shape

Be Informed about current affairs, world news

Have an Opinion - express yourself confidently.

Know the pageant - you need to know the pageantry organization.

The Answers in the Interview round must reflect intellectual perception, wits, honesty and sincerity to answer questions in shortest possible time-frame.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

Well, I actually don't want to fix up any mistakes. So there is nothing to redo or fix.

I believe that I am me and i have won because of what I have been through and an important part of personal development is accepting who you are and loving all aspects of yourself. Of course there is always room for improvement.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

During the competition, Girls usually focus on other Contestants. I suggest we should Run Your Own Race Because it’s your time to shine.

There’s always someone prettier, taller, thinner, more stylish, and more threatening. I always believe that the only way to perform at my best was to tune out the competition and focus on myself.

Some participants are not confident on stage during the performance. I suggest, practice is the way to improve at anything in life. Another important point is that you shouldn't treat other girls with arrogance.
