Women empowerment means emancipation of women from the vicious grips of social, economical, political, caste and gender-based discrimination. It means granting women the freedom to make life choices. I will admit this has always been a dream of mine however I allowed self doubt creep in and felt that I didn't have what it took to be a beauty queen. It is when I had given birth to my first daughter I realized I wanted my girl to grow up knowing she can do and be whatever she wants to be. So I knew I had to be that living example in my daughters lives hence why I took my first step as a candidate for Mrs India New Zealand. All it takes is a determined mind, a strong heart and a courageous leap forward. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
I learned what it is to be confident. Pageants help you feel comfortable in your own skin and help you overcome common little fears such as public speaking and performing on a stage in front of a room full of people. Before I started pageants, I couldn't hold a proper conversation with an adult, and would croak whenever I had to get up in front of a ton of people. Now, this all just comes naturally to me and will benefit me in the long run.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
It boosted my self confidence and made me more appreciative and aware of both my strengths and weaknesses. It has taught me to be more proud of my body.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
I am so grateful for this journey that I am on. To be an inspirational role model to encourage other women past the stereotypes and age restrictions that society puts on us and how it’s not about race or physical beauty or age but mindset and confidence. It feels so good that people give you positive feedback for being a single mom, doing pageants and also helping people in the community. World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
I would convince audience and judges by showing them my willingness to help the community and present myself as a role model to the future title holders and all the women out there.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I believe to live in the present. I take each day as it comes and try to make the best out of it. With this pageant I was always try to keep myself focus and be positive. I truly believe that god also favors the ones who dare to face the challenges.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Always try to stand tall and walk with straight back, perfect smile and eye contact is very important. 3 second pose gives you more time to interact with judges and photographers.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
The ideal pageant dress will complement the young lady’s personality by highlighting her best qualities for judges. And it must fit as your beautiful figure and makes you stand out. Of course choose the best color.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
Always be confident while answering your questions. It is one of the most important round in the competition and preparing yourself in advance is highly recommended.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
I believe everything happens for a reason and I wish not to change anything from my life experience. You have to think out of the box and save your marks.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
Maintaining the positive attitude of winner and being determined to make it possible is something a lot of girls struggle with however it makes a big difference in any situation especially when surrounded by equally talented and beautiful contestants.
