World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share a bit about who you are? Like, what are your passions outside of the pageant world?

I’m an actress and reality tv personality.  I’m currently starring in a television show called “Pet Moms” (on Amazon Prime and Tubi).  The show is about four glamorous, eccentric women and their furry families.  I also starred in a Norwegian Emmy Award winning TV show, called “Alt For Norge”, which is similar to Survivor and The Amazing Race, but set in the Norwegian Arctic. I appeared in several episodes of the Swedish version of"Real Housewives".  I’ve also appeared in many other television shows, movies, and commercials.  My most recent commercial was for Farmer’s Dog.

Outside the entertainment industry, I’m a longtime volunteer with a dog rescue and I have Pomeranian named Yum Yum.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What's it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?   I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design. I’ve also been studying acting for years. I’ve studied acting with some of the best acting coaches in Hollywood for scene study and  on camera technique. Comedy is my area of expertise and I studied improv at The Groundlings.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?

Growing up I loved watching beauty pageants with my grandmother. I always dreamed of competing one day.  We used to especially love seeing all the gorgeous national costumes in Miss Universe. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?

I saw an ad looking for contestants for a local pageant.  I was really nervous, but I just decided to try it!  My grandmother came with me and helped me backstage, and I won!!    That’s always been such a special memory for me, and it just made it so much more special that she was with me there. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?

I saw that a couple of women I had competed with at other pageants had competed in this one, so I decided to check it out.  It looked different than other pageants I had competed in before, and I love trying new things, and it looked fun, so I decided to try it! World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I'd love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?

There is no interview with the judges, instead, you submit a video that is judged.  Also, there is no on -stage question, and that’s my least favorite part of competition, so I was happy about that.  We are judged in evening gown, fitness, interview (video submission), and photogenic.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?

I’ve had so many memorable moments with competing, I don’t know where to start. The best part of competing has been the amazing friendships I’ve made with incredible women all across the USA and around the world.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?

I’m a long time volunteer with a dog rescue.   I am a passionate animal lover, and it breaks my heart to think of any animals being harmed or homeless or suffering.  Many of the dogs we take into the rescue are elderly or need a great deal of medical care.  It’s so great to help these dogs get the medical care they need, and find them new homes where they are loved and adored.  I also love volunteering with senior citizens.  My grandmother was one of my best friends, so I think that’s what influenced me to enjoy working with seniors.  I also really enjoy volunteering with military and military families, usually at Camp Pendleton.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry? I starred in a Norwegian Emmy Award winning television show, I appeared on many episodes of the Norwegian version of Entertainment Tonight, I’ve appeared on the Tonight Show, The Conan O”Brien Show, and I've worked with Joan Rivers, James Woods, Dean Cain, Gene Simmons, and many other well known celebrities on various projects.  I’ve been on the cover of FHM magazine twice, appeared in Maxim magazine, and the cover of Avante Garde and Hollywood Monthly magazine.   I’ve appeared in many commercials, but one of the most high profile was for Mercedes- Benz and I also appeared on billboards and magazine ads as part of the print ad campaign.  A few other commercials I have been in were for Miller- Lite, Budweiser, Nokia, Guess? Jeans, and Subway. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?

I get told by people in the entertainment industry that I have a unique look, personality and mannerisms.    World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?

To me, being a beauty queen means being a role model and leader in your community, and using your title to help make a difference in the world. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants impacted your life?

Pageants have had a huge impact on my life.  I won Miss Photogenic in one of the first pageants I entered, and that had a huge impact on my life.  One of my prizes was getting a modeling portfolio shot, and one of the judges asked me after the pageant if I would like him to introduce me to some modeling agents in Los Angeles.  I thought it would be fun, so I met with the agent, and the agent asked if I would like to go on some commercial auditions, and encouraged me to get in an acting class.  I never expected to be an actress, but he started sending me on auditions and I booked jobs, that started me on my acting and modeling career World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that feel, and what message do you want to share with others?

It feels great to be able to inspire others.  I hope I can inspire others that they can make a difference in the world, even doing one small thing to help one other person or animal can make a HUGE impact in that person or animal's life. World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How do you prepare for competitions? Any specific routines or practices?

Right now I’ve been working out with a trainer in preparation for the national pageant because there is swimsuit competition and we also have photoshoots on the beach in Miami during the pageant.  World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Got any tips for nailing the perfect pageant walk?

Lots of practice in the same shoes you will be wearing for the competition. One of my pageant friends even wears pageant shoes walking around places like the mall.  World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?

I think it’s important to know not only what colors you look best in, but also what colors make you feel best when you are wearing them.  It's also really important to know what styles look best on you and accentuate your best features.  World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or acting?

Yes, I actually got my start in modeling and acting from winning Miss Photogenic in one of the first pageants I entered.  As I mentioned earlier, I’m now starring in a television series called, “Pet Moms” (Amazon Prime and Tubi).  I’ve also appeared in numerous other television shows, movies and commercials.   World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming year as a Queen?   I hope to make a lot of appearances and help make a difference in the world through kindness.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind? I hope I leave a legacy of making the lives of other people and animals better.   I love the quote “You may not make a difference to millions, but you can make a difference to one.” It highlights how powerful individual acts of kindness, support and empathy can be.  I love the “Starfish Story,” about a little girl who sees thousands of starfish who have been stranded on the beach due to a storm.  She starts throwing the stranded starfish back into the ocean one by one. When she is questioned about the futility of it, she says, “Well, I made a difference to that one.”

I also love the quote from Mother Teresa, “Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier.”  That’s the kind of legacy I hope to leave.
