World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.

I am the manager of the Eye clinic that my husband runs. I also run a contact lens sales company. I am busy as a representative of the company every day. In my personal life, I taste SAKE (Japanese Rice Wine) and have a SAKE sommelier license. My hometown is famous for making SAKE. I am also a tourist ambassador of Niigata Prefecture. I introduce how to enjoy SAKE to a lot of people inside and outside my hometown.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?

Historically there were times when women were oppressed. As human beings we all should have equal opportunity to demonstrate our natural abilities regardless of gender. Therefore, we women should keep on working to develop a strong mentality and environment where we can express our possibilities without limiting ourselves. 

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

This is my first experience in a Beauty Pageant

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

People say "40s means there are another 40 years to go." Since I've already passed the half way in may life, I wanted to take a challenge that I had never done before. Last year My friend introduced me to this contest whose motto is, " Stop Bulling."  Since My daughter was bullied when she was a child, I felt an obligation to spread this motto to the world. So, my belief inspired me to be a part of this contest: I believe that knowledge and inclusion are the keys to stop bulling.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

I agree with the contest motto "stop bullying."  Through my experience I wanted to convey a message to the world. And I chose to compete in this title.


World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

Mrs International Global(MIG)'s motto is "Be Brave.Stop bulling". I want to courage those who are currently being bullied and those who are not able to help the person being bullied.  Together we can have the courage to say "NO" to bullying.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

Through training I learned beautiful walking, public speaking, make-up, color selection to bring out the best of myself.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

To make a compelling presentation, I need to control  my own feelings and gather my thoughts. I organized my thoughts through training. This was effective in order to enrich the future life.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

I am a member of a dementia support group. Dementia is serious problem in the aging Japanese society. Helping dementia patients who come to clinic is a part of my routine work. In Japan, the average length of life reaches 80 and people are expected to live for 100 years. I believe that our society needs more and more support for elderly people.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

My challenge of winning Mrs International Global was reported in the media including local newspapers and news programs. A lot of people responded to me after that. I believe that my challenge has been encouraging to a lot of people. I want to help women become more energetic through my appearance in the media.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

After winning the title, I have had some opportunities to contribute to the development of my hometown. As a result, I became the Niigata Tourism Special Ambassador. This role is assigned to those who have made an achievement. So, I am delighted to work as a tourism ambassador of my hometown.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

I could not walk beautifully at first because of a deformity in my feet. Then I took walking lessons and learned to walk on the stage very well. As a result, I walked confidently in the contest. 

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

I was able to have confidence in myself  by continuing the lesson. In the course of the competition, I learned to show my strong will to spread the message of " Be Brave, Stop Bulling" to the world. My determination can be seen from my performance,which make me stand out.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

I was very happy. I thanked my family, friends, and others who supported me. I was convinced that I made the right choice by challenging this contest.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

Winning a Beauty Queen title gave me confidence in myself and strength to live my life meaningfully. Confidence I gained affected not only my mind but also posture and words. Now I can make a good impression on more people and feel confident to face challenges.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

The Beauty Pageant gave me chances and opportunities. Because of the pageant, I decided to take various kinds of trainings such as walking or public speaking. The pageant made my life more colorful. If I had not tried it, nothing would have happened.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

After winning the title, I become more conscious of how I look through the eyes of others. As a result, I make my daily life healthier than before. In addition, I started to use positive words in my conversation. It is because I'm more confident now.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

I will be delighted if l can inspire girls out there. I want to be a person who gives good influence on others. I try to inspire others not only through my appearance but also positive words.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

It is important to keep my upper body tight and straight for  beautiful walking. Gym training is essential for that. On top of it, a beautiful smile will make me invincible.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

It is important to choose the right color to give a good impression on others. Whether colors fit me or not will have some effect on judgement. So, I have my own image consultant for the right choice.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

There is no need for a strategy. I believe in my feelings and concentrate on my mind when I talk. Believing in myself is everything I need.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

I've been taking lessons on walking, make-up, dress, inspirational speeches and so on. In addition, I meditate every morning to keep my mind neutral. Thia morning meditation seems to be the main preparation for not only starting a day but also the competition.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

I don't regret anything I had done on the stage. Even though I was nervous, I took a deep breath to ease my tension.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

I couldn't see performances of other participants since I was the first one to perform.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

I don't have any modeling or acting experience.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?

Grand Finale is scheduled for Malaysia in July. I will be there as a Japan representative. Of course, my priority is to be a World Winner for the contest. In addition, I would like to convey its motto "Be Brave. Stop Bulling" to the world as well as Japan. By doing so, I can encourage women to face challenges.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I wan to help the children get a better education. There are many children in the world who can not go to school. As one of volunteer works, I helped a student from Vietnam get involved in Japanese society. But that's not enough. As the winner of Mrs International Global Japan, I hope I can do more to help children in developing countries, which might leave a legacy of my life.
