Hi! My name is Kori Calender, and I’m seven years old. I love reading books, swimming, playing on my iPad, and making new friends. I really love helping people and spreading happiness wherever I go!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What’s it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?
School has been really fun for me! I love learning new things, especially reading. Sometimes school can be hard, but I always try my best and never give up.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women’s empowerment is such a key topic. What does it mean to you personally?
To me, women’s empowerment means believing in yourself and knowing you can do anything, no matter how small you are. Girls are strong, smart, and magical!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?
I got into pageants because I love dressing up, smiling on stage, and being confident. It looked fun and exciting!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?
I wanted to try something new and be brave. I also wanted to show people my smile and my kindness.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?
I chose my title, International Miss Southern States Jr Preteen because it lets me help others and share my love for books and learning.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’d love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?
International Miss is all about being kind, confident, and yourself. It’s not just about crowns it’s about having a big heart.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director apart from others?
My director is really nice and believes in all the girls. She makes us feel special and loved.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: During competitions, what are the key things you’re judged on?
We are judged on our smiles, confidence, kindness, walking, and how we talk.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?
It’s been so fun! I’ve learned to be brave, make friends, and always smile even if I’m nervous.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Would you recommend your pageant system to others? If so, why?
Yes! Because it helps kids believe in themselves and feel confident.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?
I collect books for free libraries through my platform, Kori’s Stories: Growing Minds, One Book at a Time. I love helping kids read and dream big.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: With your title, what kinds of appearances or activities have you been involved in?
I help collect books, talk to people about reading, and spread kindness in my community with my little libraries.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry?
I have won Miss congeniality, Miss photogenic, USA Ambassador Miss Texas princess, 2nd runner up USA Ambassador nationals, Miss Young International Miss princess, Miss International Miss Southern States Jr Preteen, won best in interview.
Miss Congeniality in cheer, built and stocked two little libraries, and worked really hard in school getting A honor roll and perfect attendance.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?
My big smile, kind heart, and love for helping others make me special.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?
I felt so happy and excited! I couldn’t stop smiling and felt really proud.

Being a Beauty Queen means being kind, helping others, and believing in yourself.

Pageants helped me become more confident and brave.

They taught me that I am beautiful just the way I am.

It makes me really happy! I want everyone to know they should dream big and never give up.

I smile, stand tall, and be myself.

I practice my walk, work on my interview answers, and remind myself to have fun.
