World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
I am a woman who loves her family, I am a wife, mother of two beautiful children. I love being a very positive woman, I enjoy everything I do and doing it with love. I am currently finishing my degree in Business Administration which I apply in my own business.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
It is an essential part of a woman's day to day. Empowerment allows you to achieve what you consider impossible and at the same time gives you the confidence to face obstacles. An empowered woman has confidence, security and her goals are very clear. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
In 2019 I participated in Mrs Universe Costa Rica and got the crown. In December I went to represent Costa Rica in the Mrs Universe International that took place in China and I got Top Seven.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
Since I was a child I loved beauty pageants, when I was a teenager I wanted to participate but my insecurities made me doubt. When I got married and had children I thought that I could no longer participate in any beauty pageant, however I found the great opportunity to participate in Mrs Universe Costa Rica.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
Because I loved the meaning that the Mrs Universe Costa Rica pageant had by being able to compete as mothers and also because it was the best ladies pageant nationwide.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Initially there is a casting process in which they choose twelve candidates who will compete for the crown of Mrs Universe Costa Rica. Most people think that all beauty contests are superficial and in reality they are women who in addition to being physically beautiful women have a daily life as wives, mothers and professionals.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
There is a common aspect that all women have and it is beauty, for which aspects are even more important for which we are judged such as attitude, confidence, discipline, responsibility and of course runway.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
It has been one of the best decisions I have made in my life, Mrs Universe Costa Rica strengthened many aspects of my personal life. Besides that, it is a transparent contest, with great prestige and I feel very proud to represent women who are mothers and can still be part of a beauty contest.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
Mrs Universe is a platform that empowers women who often do not know what they are capable of on their own, women who care more about others and put their priorities aside. My cause as a volunteer strengthens all those aspects and I also love to support all children's causes.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

I am finishing my career in Business Administration, I am a mother of two beautiful children, wife, Mrs Universe 2019 and Top 12.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
There are definitely two aspects that are fundamental, my personality that identifies me and makes me unique and my attitude.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
It is a moment that I will never forget. That night I had full confidence in all the effort I had made throughout the contest process. When I saw myself holding hands with my other partner and they mentioned that I was the winner, I felt great happiness, my heart was going to leave me, I thought and observed all the support that my family was giving me and the great happiness they felt.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
Definitely a beauty queen is more than a beautiful body and face. A beauty queen represents a human being with intelligence, empathy, a woman with the ability to be exposed to many criticisms, a woman who demonstrates breaking with stereotypes.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
I help in many aspects of my life, initially I managed to be a much more confident woman, to break with my insecurities. As for my family, I helped in the union, it made me see the great support they give me. In the labor and professional aspect to open many doors and opportunities.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
It was positive in many ways, I had a great emotional growth. I understood during the contest that whatever you set out to do, you achieve it regardless of the sacrifices.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
I love being an example, I am aware that it is an aspect of great responsibility but at the same time I love being a woman who motivates others to achieve their goals.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
Show them security, demonstrate my essence, enjoy the experience to the fullest and have the best attitude. World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
It was a beautiful process and at the same time many sacrifices. I decided to fulfill all my obligations with the best attitude, showing what I was capable of. I received makeup classes, runway classes, English classes.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
First of all the attitude is essential, practice a lot in front of a mirror, posture, firm legs. Never look at the floor.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
The dress should be beautiful and unique but the most important thing is to feel
comfortable when wearing it.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
The most important thing is to show confidence when answering the questions, practice to answer as clearly as possible and without showing the nerves that can be felt at that moment. An essential point in an interview is to add your personality in the answers.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing
you wish you could redo and fix it?
I have always said that what I would change is to give even more than what I gave. There are always aspects that can be improved.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
A big mistake is that they do not focus on themselves but rather see what other girls are doing and that deconcentrates and makes them feel insecure.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
Yes, in modeling, I have done runway, photo shoots, tv shows.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen?
To continue being a positive example for women and mothers, to keep myself physically and emotionally, to fulfill projects.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
I want to be remembered as a woman who gave the best of herself, a woman who fights for what she wants, a woman who inspires to achieve goals, a confident woman, a woman who gave the best of herself to represent his country Costa Rica in the best way.
