I am originally from Mexico City. and then moved to Santa Fe, NM at 22. I also have an 8-year-old son who has been one of my most outstanding teachers in life. World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education. I obtained my High School Diploma in Naples FL and soon after moved to Santa Fe, NM. Currently, I am working on getting my broker license to advance my career. My goal is to soon become a licensed transaction coordinator and grow in the real estate industry. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? Women empowerment to me is one of the fundamental building blocks to be a woman who is confident and believes she can accomplish anything she sets her mind to. She also inspires others to follow their dreams. Woman should have the courage to speak their mind and make their voice heard. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. I have had the amazing opportunity to be a part of Mrs. Señora New Mexico. This was my first time in a beauty pageant, and now I will be a part of the Mrs. Señora United States in the upcoming pageant. In this pageant, which will take place in September, I will be gladly representing the beautiful state of New Mexico! World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? My inspiration to participate in my first pageant was to prove to myself that I was capable of accomplishing a dream that I once had since I was a young girl. I knew that, by participating in a pageant, I would be able to build my confidence and inspire other woman to take that leap of faith to pursue their dreams. It is never too early or too late to start believing in yourself and follow your heart. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I decided to participate for my current title because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and enjoy the experience of being in a beauty pageant. I hope that one day I am able to inspire my son to step out into the world and enjoy every wonderful experience this life has to offer. I hope to also inspire other woman to build up the courage and participate in new experience just like I did. World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? In my experience, while being a part of Mrs. Señora New Mexico beauty pageant, the system has been a wonderful opportunity. From day one, they focus on women's empowerment and give you life coaching classes. All the candidates arrived as complete strangers, as the days went by and we participated in different events, we became close friends through fun activities. After the pageant, we have focused on helping the community and reaching out to those in need. One event that truly captured my heart was wrapping gifts for children in need. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? They truly focus on going beyond the physical appearance and taking into account the candidate's culture, charisma, and principles. There are five different parts to the pageant: Fitness wear, fashion wear, typical heritage dress, evening dress, and a round of questions. Once you move on to the final round, the judges ask about your platform and you have to explain why you chose that certain platform. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. My experience in the beauty pageant was truly a life lesson. To be able to meet people and learn about their life experience, and be able to share mine as well, was a magnificent moment. I was able to have the amazing opportunity to achieve personal growth while having fun with newly found friends, one of which I became close friends with. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals is the platform I chose because it has a very special meaning to me. Dreamers are people who have lived their entire lives in this country. They have every right to fulfill their goals as everyone else, because of this I feel they should be a part of this beautiful country and have a path to become citizens. Being a Dreamer myself, I know we all would be more than happy to contribute and help this country grow. DACA should be a way for our voices to be heard.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? Through my title, I have had the amazing opportunity to be a part of the Boots and Brides Expo where we modeled a beautiful wedding dress. We attended the Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-off in Old Town Plaza Albuquerque. Helped to give out school supplies and face painting event, also in Albuquerque. Finally, I was a part of a commercial for a big TV network here in New Mexico. World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? Throughout my life I've achieved many goals that I am very proud of; however, one that stands out in particular to me is that I learned to accept myself the way I am, love and value myself for who I am, and feeling confident about myself without comparing myself to others. That is something that I believe everyone should strive to achieve, with so much information constantly being thrown at us through our devices, we should stop for a moment and appreciate the person we have become. Many do not take the time to thank themselves for everything they have, not just materialistically, but also emotionally and spiritually. World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? I believe that everyone is beautiful and we each have our own unique essence. The one thing that sets me apart, is that I am always genuine and true to myself in front of everyone. Someone who is genuine will accept themselves for who they are and cheer other women on for their accomplishments. I have fun with what I do and I appreciate every opportunity that life gives me. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. It was a surreal moment filled with joy and my smile truly reflected that. I felt incredibly proud of myself, but my most emotional moment was when my son came up to the stage and wrapped his arms around me with such enthusiasm. At that moment, while having my family and friends around celebrating this moment with me, I felt true happiness. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? To me a Beauty Queen is someone who is caring, kind, honest, and respects herself and others. They are someone who is disciplined and goes above and beyond in everything she does. It is someone who is brave and will take that leap of faith to achieve their goals, someone who is ambitious and supportive. But, above all else, they are someone who inspires others to be their best self. World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? Competing in a pageant has helped me to become someone better by pushing me out of my comfort zone and having new experiences that help me grow as a person. It has helped me to believe in myself and keep me motivated. It has also helped me appreciate my culture and roots. World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants help your self-esteem and body image? Being in pageants has built my confidence by being in front of a camera and hundreds of people at a time. Having so many people receive my message with welcoming arms has impacted my self-esteem positively and helped me accept myself just the way I am. World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? Being able to inspire other women means a lot to me. A few days after the pageant a teenager approached me and said "When I grow up, I want to be like you" I felt very proud of myself but, at the same time, I knew that it was a great responsibility and it is my priority to set a good example for those who look up to me. I hope to inspire other women and motivate them to believe in themselves, that would make my heart happy. World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on-stage strategy to win the judges over? I personally don't think I have a specific on-stage strategy to win the judges over. However, I do feel that if you stay true to yourself without losing your essence, the judges and the audience will notice that. Having fun in the moment, genuinely enjoying the event, and smiling is what helped me in the pageant. World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I made sure that while getting ready for the pageant I had fun. One thing that I enjoy the most is fashion, and I truly enjoyed looking for outfits that made me feel beautiful and comfortable. Another thing that helped me a lot in preparing myself was my closest friends, family, and partner who supported me and gave me the courage to be a part of the pageant; that support was very important to me. Last but certainly not least, taking the time to reflect on the platform I wanted to represent and writing down my speech gave me the confidence to talk about it with the judges and the audience. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? It is very important to carefully choose which shoes you are going to wear and make sure they are cute but comfortable. Wear them as many times as you can before the pageant and make sure you are snot struggling at the end of the day. During the pageant walk, smile as big as you can and always keep your head high. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing the right pageant dress? I have a few tips for choosing the proper pageant dress; take your time when looking for a dress, that way, you won't rush and get one you don't love. Most importantly, make sure the dress captivates your eye, and you're absolutely in love with it. Also, make sure that the dress makes you feel unique and beautiful when wearing it, and last but not least, make sure it's comfortable so that you can walk with confidence. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning the interview? Definitely, one of my most important tips would be to be honest to the judges and with yourself. Show them that you are genuine and that the platform you chose is something that you feel passionate about. World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? Honestly, I am a firm believer that mistakes are simply opportunities to learn. Maybe I would like to work a little more to improve my public speaking skills, but as I mentioned, it is only something to learn from. I take that mistake as a learning experience and will improve it for my next pageant. I have pushed myself out of my comfort zone and done more events to put me in that same situation to improve my public speaking skills. World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? I honestly don't think there were any mistakes during the competition. They all did their best, and if something didn't go as expected, I'm sure they learned from that experience. I hope they can apply it in their future contests. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? I have yet to achieve the experience I wish to have in modeling/acting. Nevertheless, the pageant has increasingly motivated me to learn from walking, communicating, interviewing, and even modeling. I am sure that all those skills will improve with time. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2022 as a Queen? I have several plans; among them is to continue attending events to inspire other women. I would also like to plan an interview with a person who will provide us with more information about DACA. I want to make sure that I can inform as many dreamers as possible who do not have the resources and could benefit from this valuable information. I'd love to continue participating in interviews, improving my skills, giving back to my community, and always strive to be a better version of myself. World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want to inspire other women; I want people to remember me as the optimistic woman who believes in herself and follows her dreams even when she is scared.
