World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share a bit about who you are? Like, what are your passions outside of the pageant world?
I love fashion. My love of fashion led me to become a reader model for a magazine, and I became certified as an image consultant. In the future, I plan to try my hand at writing for fashion magazines.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What's it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?
I attended an image consultant school from November 2022 to May 2023. I learned personal color diagnosis, skeletal structure diagnosis, face type diagnosis, shopping accompaniment, and makeup for each face type. It was interesting, stimulating, fun, and very short 7 months because it was my first time in all of these fields.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women's empowerment is such a key topic. What does it mean to you personally?
I am convinced that when women can shine with confidence in their own way, a prosperous future awaits them that will make not only themselves but also those around them happy.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?
When one of my acquaintances participated in the program before, I was very inspired by the challenges she had faced and the results she had achieved.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?
I wanted to break out of my shell! I was also interested in a world I had not yet experienced.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?
I thought the contest's philosophy of supporting women who shine not only from the outside but also from the inside was wonderful.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I'd love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?
The contest is open to any women who want to challenge themselves to shine as they are, regardless of age or appearance.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director apart from others?
The director herself loves the contest. She also loves the contestants who participate in the contest along with her love towards the contest.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: During competitions, what are the key things you're judged on?
I think it is the confidence and joy of a radiant woman that overflows from within.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?
Everything was full of firsts, and everything has left me with strong memories. I have never been so conscious of my posture in my days, and I learned to face myself again.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Would you recommend your pageant system to others? If so, why?
Of course, I’d love to. Because any woman who wants to love herself and shine brighter than ever can take on this challenge.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?
I've been a member of a hula team, Na Wai Iwi Ola-Japan East. When the Great East Japan Earthquake happened, Kumu Hula Keala Ching, the co-founder and executive director of the organization, came to Japan from Hawaii. He and the members of Na Wai Iwi Ola-Japan East choreographed one of the most popular songs in Japan "AISANSAN" as part of the reconstruction support and danced with local people. We were able to help bring energy and spiritual healing to the local people through Hula.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?
After the pageant, I was invited to appear in a film tentatively titled “Dream Fulfillment Project 2024,” which is scheduled to be released in December 2024.
It is a success story about a young woman who participates in a business contest and starts a Japanese restaurant in Indonesia in order to make her dream come true.
I played the role of a mentor who advises and guides the main character in her entrepreneurial endeavor.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry?
In October 2024, I will be wearing a kimono dress and runway on the Red Carpet in Hollywood.
Also, I will represent Japan in the world competition in July 2025.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?
I received high marks for my posture, walking, smile and other expressive qualities.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?
I was actually very nervous when the results were announced, partly because the contest had set up age categories. And when my name was called, I did not understand that it was the announcement of the winner. When I found out later that I had won the award, I was so surprised.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?
It has given me confidence and pride.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants impacted your life?
I felt like they recognized that I was wonderful just the way I was, and I felt more confident in myself.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants influenced your self-esteem and body image?
My mind has become so much more open and I love myself more than ever before.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that feel, and what message do you want to share with others?
That is still an incredible feeling, but it is never too late to start something. I wish people would believe in themselves and enjoy loving themselves more.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your strategy for captivating the judges on stage?
I think that everyone in the hall, from every corner, is someone I love, and I stand on stage with the desire to deliver my love to these loved ones.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How do you prepare for competitions? Any specific routines or practices?
I try to be conscious of my posture, and when I walk in a straight line, I try to imagine what I have learned in the walking lessons.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Got any tips for nailing the perfect pageant walk?
I think it is to walk with the hope that each step I take will reach the people I care about.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?
It is about choosing the type of dress that suits you based on your bone structure, etc., and seeing the balance of colors and designs that suit your skin tone and face.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Interview rounds can be tricky. What are your strategies for a winning interview?
It is important to put my thoughts into words, of course, but it is also important to choose words that can fully convey the thoughts that I want to deliver without regret.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Looking back, is there a moment in a competition you wish you could redo?
I have done my best and there is nothing I would like to redo.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What common mistakes do you see others making in contests?
I guess it is that when things go wrong or mistakes are made, they get upset and show it on their faces.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or acting?
Although it may be unique to Japan, I have been invited several times as a reader model in fashion magazines. Also, through this contest, I was given a chance to appear in a movie.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming year as a Queen?
It is to win the Grand Prix at the world pageant.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?
The contestants I participated in were all happy-minded people. However, they were people with strong hearts who wanted to like themselves more, to have confidence, and who decided to face themselves to do so. When the contest was over, they all seemed glad to have taken part in the contest! And their days of facing themselves and working hard seemed to have given them confidence. I hope that many people will experience this rich experience that only those who have done it can understand.
