World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

My late mother had always felt that I would do well in pageants. Furthermore, ever since I was very very young, I had never missed watching mega pageants like Miss Universe and Miss World. I remember standing in front of the mirror and uttering my name and that I am from Singapore as though I was a contestant even when I was barely 7 years old..  The liking for pageants just grew stronger as I grew older and taller than average Asian women over the years.. My mother asked me to take part in Miss World 2005.. I too felt very much ready to take the big step forward into the pageant industry..

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

The main reason I joined the current pageant is because the Pink Ribbon Initiative behind this pageant captivated me. I lost my mother to Breast Cancer 12 years ago and I was no aware of what cancer was all about at that point of time.  I decided to take part in this pageant solely because I wanted to create Breast Cancer Awareness in the society.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

The pageant system itself aims to mold females with nurturing aspect.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

Originality, Poise, Confidence, Breast Cancer Initiatives, Q & A and Overall Attitude

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

The contestants were asked to bring out a Pink Ribbon related message through a photoshoot. We had a talent round, evening gown round and Q & A..

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

Pink Ribbon Initiative. Recently, I conducted a Complimentary Breast Cancer Awareness and Bonding Session that I fully funded.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

I have appeared in a local Tamil Newspaper article on the victory.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

I have interviewed a real life cancer survivor, a fitness instructor and a Yoga instructor for the Breast Cancer Awareness & Bonding Session. It was my 1st time organizing such a meaningful session and am glad that I was able to get a total of 50 pax ( all aged groups) to attend the session and learn something from it to spread the awareness.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

I just want to be able to exhume full confidence and strut an impressive catwalk..I want to be genuine and honest as that is what I love about myself.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

Having had the experience in the pageant industry for more than 15 years now, I feel I have grown into an even more confident as well as a clear headed human who knows what I want to achieve for my country, my family and me.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

I was elated and very contented with my performance on that day.  I felt a great sense of achievement.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

Being a Beauty Queen to me means to be able to spread a good initiative genuinely without stepping or destroying anyone else's rice bowl.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

It made me a much more stronger person mentally. I also have became very confident of myself.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

It had a boost to my self esteem for sure. I feel as though I had a purpose to be born and to achieve greater heights through pageants. I have always kept myself fit and healthy would exercises to maintain a toned body.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

It feels great because not everyone would have such an awesome chance to be able to make a difference or create a positive impact on anyone's life.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

Having a pageant coach would be wonderful. However, watching related videos on catwalk would give a boost as well.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

As a Beauty Queen, you should be aware of your body type and what sort of dress would suit tour figure

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

Just be honest and genuine with your answers. You do not have to fake an answer just to sound safe or *correct*.. listen to the question carefully and then answer the question calmly and confidently.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

I watched alot of videos on pageants. I also ensured that I will be full of confidence in every single round that I had to go through.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

I multi task a lot at that point of time and I felt that I could not give my 100% for my talent round. I wish that I could have managed my time and schedules better.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

Some of them repeatedly uttered that they were nervous and that they were having a mental block. When they say these kind of things, it makes all the newbie contestants to feel even more pressured or tensed. This fear itself would not allow the fellow contestants to give their best on the Big Day.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

Yes. I have acted in local dramas and telemovies in Singapore.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?

I want to be able to spread the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness to the World. I want to have a personal touch on peoples' lives...

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I want to be known as a Lioness who raised three other Lionesses( my daughters) by feeding them with good moral values and devotion to anything that they may face in their lives.
