I started competing in pageants in 1999. I have won state, local, national, and international titles. I have also placed as 3rd 4th runner up in other pageant systems. World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? My mentor was Yolanda Newville she won and competed in lots of pageants throughout her high school and college years. I really was inspired with competing in pageants as a little girl I always Watched Miss America, Miss USA, and Miss Universe Pageant. I decreed that one day I was going to win and be a Queen who will transform the world with my community service endeavors. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I wanted to be challenged in a pageant system that helped me to pursue more confidence in my leadership abilities as a leader and philanthropist. Most importantly, I have always been involved in volunteering with schools and other community events and it's wonderful to be a part of an organization who supports me in my platform development as well as fulfilling all the dreams that are currently coming to fruition. World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? Nation Nationals and the Univerzv V Brand organizations are based on volunteerism and platform development. Moreover, the Univerzv V and Nation Nationals Organization empowers titleholders to use their voice to advocate and implement strategies that consist of effective strategy plans that would increase volunteerism on a national and international level. Likewise, we believe in celebrating diversity in all aspects from knowledge, perspective insights from different cultures, nationalities, ethnicities, and socio-economic backgrounds. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? In a pageant I am judged on my ability to articulate on stage as well as person or panel interview while maintaining a conversation interview with the judges that I usually tell a narrative and try to add a little humor when I can. Technical skill, stage presence, quality of the performance, effective interpersonal communication skills. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. Well I felt a little overwhelmed because I was praying that I would win the national or international title because I believed in myself when I competed in the Nation Nationals pageant last November 2020, I was confident that I had the potential to represent Nation Nationals and the Univerzv V Organization as a national and international titleholder because my platform was in alignment with their mission and code of ethics. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. My platform Diversity and Inclusiveness pertains to the uniqueness of embracing being different as an individual and learning how to embrace or accept differences in other individuals regardless of ethnicity, religion, or organization affiliations. A Queen is eloquent in speech and her deportment and she exudes charisma. She is open-minded and accepts herself for who she is and she walks in confidence. Networking with other people from various private and public sector jobs has helped me to improve my social communication skills in reaching out to people who had experiences in c r tain job endeavors I pursued regardless of the outcome. I developed many friendships with sister Queens who were also pageant veterans and wanted to pursue other career aspirations in business entities that related or pertained to publicity and public relations because I was always the girl who loved attention and interfacing as well as meeting public figures, celebrities, even people who were just ordinary people. World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
