I attended the fabulous Welcome Party for the beautiful Rabiya Mateo, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 at Geoffrey Lapuz Jimenez wonderful home in Granada Hills, California, May 25, 2021! It is an honor to be one of the guests, as World Class Beauty Queens USA Ambassador 2021 along with other prominent guests, among them, Philippine Consul General Ed Badajos. We all had a fantastic time with great company, lovely music and delicious food. Awesome photography by Joey Yumul and Adrian Lecaros. Queen Rabiya Mateo was born on November 14, 1996 at Balasan, Iloilo, Philippines, She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Iloilo Doctors College.
She is a Filipina model and beauty pageant titleholder crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2020. One of the questions for the Q and A portion of the beauty pageant, she was asked “Throughout the journey you have discovered you are a phenomenal woman who is conditioned for greater. How can you create a positive and lasting impact to the world around you?” Her answer is “ First of all, I need to stick to my core, which is being passionate about educating people. I am a lecturer and I’ve been pursuing this because this education had helped me to have that comfortable life that I and my family deserves. I want to push people . I want them to achieve greater things in life through me and I know that with Miss Universe anything is possible because I am a phenomenal woman with a heart.” She represented the Philippines and finished in the top 21 semi finalist for the 69 th Miss Universe 2021 held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida, USA, May 16, 2021.
When I met Queen Rabiya Mateo, she glowed with her warm, friendly smile and elegant manners. She spoke eloquently about her experiences with her visit in the USA. She is truly a beautiful beauty queen and it was a pleasure meeting her!
