World Class Beauty Queens Magazine would like to welcome amazing Queen Caroline Fernanda dos Santos Mrs Brasil de Las Americas 2020.
Full name: Caroline Fernanda dos Santos
Title/Year: Mrs Brasil de Las Americas 2020
Pageant System: Miss Brasil de Las Americas
Age: 29
Zodiac sign: Sagitarius
Status: Single
World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
My name is Carol Santos, I'm 29 years old, and I’m graduated in Foreign Trade. I worked for some years in an auto parts logistics department, a completely male area, and that's a contrast to my life from Miss.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
A Miss can and should be feminist, but understanding the real meaning of it, without extremism! As a represent of beauty and female empowerment, I support this cause; I seek precisely this equality that does not exist yet. Most women earn less than men. We suffer harassment every day on the streets and femicide is one of the biggest deaths in our country.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
Beauty pageants have always been part of my life, it was my mother's dream and after mine I participated in some regionals, states, nationals and party queens contests. In a total of 8 titles.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
My mother always encouraged me, but I was found by a missologist (Miss Scout) in a supermarket, which I accepted the invitation to participate on my first contest, which I have won. After that, I fell in love with this magical world of beauty.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
My dream was to represent my beloved Brazil in an international contest; I felt that winning the Miss Brasil de Las Americas would be my chance.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us
what is it about?
In current beauty pageants, it is not enough just to be "beautiful". The contest looks for girls moreover: communicative, intelligent, who can behave in different kinds of situations and support social causes.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
It is a wonderful exchange of experiences, intense moments, we have the opportunity to live with girls from all states of Brazil, united with the same goal: the long-awaited crown.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I’m currently supporting social causes for victims of domestic violence, which I volunteer at a support center, raising the banner of empathy and respect for women.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
I won some municipal titles from the city where I currently live (Miss São José dos Pinhais), and Party Queens and Miss Teen.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
Believe in yourself and be true, you are not required to win, but give your best.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the
winner.
It is a mix of sensations, happiness and a sense of accomplishment. IT’S MAGICAL!
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
Being a woman who fights for causes, expresses herself, an example and speaks for other women and for people who may not have a voice in society. My title represents all women of my country.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
It helped me having more visibility and a people influencer.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your self-esteem and body image?
Finally I’ve reached a point where I don't love myself for being just beautiful, but for everything I carry. It's a set of factors.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It's wonderful that I can be an active voice to influence people in a positive way. I didn't win this title just for myself. I really want to make a difference.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
I try to pass all the happiness of that moment, my truth, the experience of being there is already maximum! I am not required to succeed, but to correspond to all the Light I have!
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I started this journey investing in physical beauty: pilates, catwalk classes, intense workouts in the gym and diet, I realized that it was necessary to seek self-knowledge. I did meditation and a lot of reading. I found myself, decided that I also wanted to convey a message of respect, empathy and diversity.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Posture, class and delicacy. They are fundamental on the catwalks.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
The perfect dress is the one you put it on and feels good!
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
The biggest challenges are the interviews. At such times it takes a lot of calm and confidence, But life is made up of challenges, and challenging times are part of our achievements.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
Feel confident, but it is between mistakes and hits we get to know each other, understand what works, and adapt to experiences to deal with fails.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
I believe that is insecurity, it’s complicated to be under evaluation, some people do not know how to deal with it.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
Yes, I also work as a model.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen?
You can expect nothing less than my best. I wanna get the crown and show that there is much more than beauty in pageants.
