I was born in South Africa to a Scottish father, from Dundee and a South African mother.

The love of sport runs in my family as my grandfather played football for Dundee.

In 2014 I launched my own initiative, Music Heals, that uses song and dance to equip young people with tools to be able to enhance their lives and focuses on child sexual abuse prevention and safety.

I am proud to be an ambassador for one of the most significant child protection organizations, Women and Men against Child Abuse.

I also have a passion for conservation and am a WWF and Helping Rhino’s ambassador.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment mean to you?

Fighting for female rights and equality. Empowering, supporting, protecting and uplifting the position of women worldwide.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

I was placed second runner up in Miss Universe Great Britain 2018.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

My mother was Miss South Africa’s first princess in 1984. She is a woman of such class and elegance, I’ve always looked up to her. I also believe that because of my work and life experience, I have the skills to be able to make a good Miss Universe Great Britain and will be able to represent Great Britain with confidence on the international stage. It would also give me the opportunity to have a wider reach and greater impact for my advocacies, specifically my Music Heals initiative, and add value to the lives of many more people.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

I love Great Britain and what the Miss Universe organization stands for!

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

Miss Universe Great Britain is the sole qualifier for Miss Universe where we have three countries competing for one crown; England, Scotland and Wales.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

Interview, swimwear and evening wear.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

I grew up in a family where giving back was a fundamental part of our lives, which lead me to launch my “Music Heals” initiative in 2014. It aims to help prevent young women and children from being sexually abused, equip them with the skills to be able to make the most of their lives and teach boys to respect girls so that they grow up into men of honor and integrity and thereby become a part of the solution. I am also proud to be an ambassador for one of the worlds most significant child protection organizations, Women and Men against child abuse.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

I am a Sony Music Entertainment signed singer-songwriter and performing artist, I have competed at the World Equestrian Games three times, the first time as a vaulter (gymnastics on the back of a cantering horse, it’s as crazy as it sounds!) and twice as a show jumper.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your onstage strategy to win the judges over?

Be effortlessly confident and energetic.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

I am a multidimensional woman, my work and love of travel have taken me to 39 countries across every continent and I have worked with, learnt from and connected to people from all walks of life. I am signed to one of the biggest record labels in the world and have ridden at the highest level in the equestrian sport successfully, which shows that I am focused, determined, hard working and when I set a goal for myself I follow through with everything that I have. When it comes to giving back, the importance of community upliftment was instilled in me from a very young age and so it has become a part of my lifestyle, which lead me to launch of my “Music Heals” initiative in 2014.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

A woman who epitomizes beauty from without and within. Who is elegant and refined and is an ambassador for all people. Who sees the value in hard work, adding value to the lives of those around her and lives life with courage and grace.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants help your life?

Interview skills, budgeting, time management and prioritizing have been reinforced thanks to my pageant journey and all of the above are essential tools to be successful in today’s world.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants help your self-esteem and body image?

I’ve learnt to not be afraid of failure or criticism but rather embrace the positive aspects of who I am and enhance those as much as possible. Work with what I was given rather than wish for something I wasn’t.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

It’s an honour and responsibility knowing I am potentially shaping who young girls become.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Hold your head high, have energy in your walk, I love a little movement in the hips, relax your arms and hands, keep it smooth, effortless, elegant, top it with confidence and practice, practice, practice.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing the right pageant dress?

Chose what fits your body shape, personality and makes you feel most confident.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? I know it’s nerve-racking but just try to be yourself. Being confident about who you are and what you stand for is powerful!

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

I adopted a plant-based diet 6 years ago so I eat very healthily, I workout consistently and am having such fun planning my fundraising events!

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

Constantly comparing yourself to the other beautiful women. No one can be you, make that your power.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

To add value to the lives of those around me. It’s not what I gather on my journey but what I scatter along the way that matters most.
