My name is Tshinakaho Mulovhedzi, I am a 5 year old girl residing in Savanna city located in
Joburg south. I recently won the miss global princess Africa competition on the 9th of April
at the Dynasty Forest Hotel located in Sandton, South Africa and I’m set to represent Africa
on an international level in Paris fashion week, where they will also hold the miss global
princess international pageant.
My passion is applying makeup, I’m always applying makeup on my dolls and parents when
they are sleeping. I believe that I may one day become a makeup artist. My other passion is
giving back to the community. I donate my old clothes and toys to children homes.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey.
What’s it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?
As a 1st grade learner, my education journey has been great. I developed new friendships
that I’m sure are going to last for a lifetime. My challenge is learning how to read and write
but I’m positive that I will learn soon.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women’s empowerment is such a key topic.
What does it mean to you personally?
It means to motivate young girls to be whoever they want to be. In the pageantry world, it
means clapping for your contestants when they model to give them motivation. It means
giving compliments to people such as “you have a nice smile” or “I like your hair” so that
you can boost their confidence.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked
your interest initially?
My mom saw an ad on Facebook for the C&C modelling agency (owned by Chantel Swart
and Charmain Nagel. My mother then contacted them then I started practicing there. I’ve
always liked looking like a princess which sparked my interest in pageantry.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first
pageant? Was there a defining moment?
Whenever I would practice, my coach would motivate me to enter contests because she
believed that I do whatever I set my mind to. I also believed that I needed a challenge so
that’s when my mom decided to enter me in my first pageant
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your
current title? What made it stand out for you?
Because I did 4 competitions before my current title and I was awarded the overall winner
for all. I decided that I needed a challenge and that’s when my mother signed me up for
miss global princess south Africa. I also like the values that the miss global princess
organization stands with.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’d love to know more about your pageant
system. Could you explain what it’s all about?
Miss Global Princess South Africa is part of an international pageant system that
celebrates true beauty and empowers young women to reach their full potential. The
organization provides a platform for participants to inspire, evolve, and contribute to their
communities through various initiatives
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director
apart from others?
My pageant director (Zandi Kogo) is friendly and welcoming. Whenever you have a problem,
she always has a solution. Whenever my mom wants to inquire about something, she
sends Mrs Zandi a message and Mrs Zandi responds as soon as she can.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: During competitions, what are the key things
you’re judged on?
I’m judged on various things such as: personality, my walk, my costume, ability to make eye
contact with the crowd and judges, talent, intelligence and charity work.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like?
Any memorable moments or learnings?
It was wonderful. I formed sisterhood bonds and developed friendships with some of the
contestants.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Would you recommend your pageant system to
others? If so, why?
Yes, as Miss Global Princess South Africa is a prestigious pageant focused on leadership,
confidence, and social impact. It empowers young women through mentorship, charity
work, and global opportunities.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work.
What causes are you passionate about?
I have a foundation named Tshinakaho cares foundation where I collect old clothes, shoes
and toys. I’m passionate about donating my old clothes and toys to children’s homes in
south Africa. I’m also passionate about feeding the homeless. Every Friday at 5pm we go
and donate food to the homeless in a small town of Meyerton.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: With your title, what kinds of appearances or
activities have you been involved in?
So far, I have done many two newspaper interviews. I have also done a food drive with my
coach Chantel Swart where we donated 50 food items to the homeless.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements,
both in and outside of pageantry?
I was crowned the miss global princess Africa competition winner. Before that I also won
competitions such as national face of pageant 2024 overall winner, Model of the year
category winner 2024 and Miss Grinch Ville 2024.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think
makes you stand out?
I believe that my confidence and personality makes me stand out. I really enjoy being on
stage.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What
was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?
I could not believe that I really won. I was very excited to get a big crown and sash.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?
As a 5-year-old, being a beauty queen to me means being a princess, wearing beautiful
dresses and doing my hair and always helping others.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants impacted your life?
Pageants have allowed me to be more confident in myself. They have also allowed me to be
patient and understand that my time had come. Lastly they give me opportunities to
represent my country on an international level.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants influenced your self-
esteem and body image?
They have allowed me to be more confident in myself and allowed me to love myself the
way I am.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that
feel, and what message do you want to share with others?
It feels good that kids look up to me. The message that I would like to share with others it
that if you are passionate about something, you should do it and that queens never loose,
they learn.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your strategy for captivating the judges
on stage?
When I model, I make sure to hold eye contact with the judges and audience. I make sure
that I do my walk with confidence and also have fun.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How do you prepare for competitions? Any
specific routines or practices?
I practice once a week at my modelling agency. I also practice at home so that I can remind
myself of what I was taught by my coach.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Got any tips for nailing the perfect pageant
walk?
The only tip I can give is that practice makes perfect. Don’t only practice at your agency,
also practice at home and use YouTube to perfect your walk if you don’t go to a modelling
agency.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be
crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?
At my modelling school, it is a must to show my coach the dress that I will be modelling
while wearing a week prior to the pageant. My coach then tells me if the dress is
appropriate for that certain competition. Since I’m only 5 years old, I’m yet to learn how to
choose the perfect pageant dress.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Interview rounds can be tricky. What are your
strategies for a winning interview?
Practice makes perfect. Before an interview, my brother preps me by asking me questions
that are most likely to be asked and guiding me on how to answer them. And my coach
always pics an appropriate interview outfit for me.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Looking back, is there a moment in a
competition you wish you could redo?
Yes, at the miss global princess competition, there was a time where I froze in front of
everyone on stage for a long time when I was doing fun fashion. As most people where
cheering for me, I thought some where booing me and it made me sad. If I had the chance, I
would redo that moment.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What common mistakes do you see others
making in contests?
They do not maintain eye contact with the judges which makes them loose points. Some
don’t know their routine nicely making them more likely to loose points for routine.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or
acting?
In acting no but modelling yes. I started modelling in September 2024 at the C&C modelling
agency owned by Chantel Swart and Charmaine Nagel.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming
year as a Queen?
To practice very hard for the miss global princess international competition to be held in
France during Paris fashion week in October 2025. To continue doing charity work by doing
many food drive.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to
leave behind?
I would like to leave a legacy that encourages people to be kind, brave and strong. I would
like for kids all over the world to be motivated to do what they are passionate about.
