Dislikes: I don't like fortnite, I don't like tuna, and I really don't like onions. Status: World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself. My name is Samai Miramontes, I love to spend time with my family and my friendships. One thing I absolutely love is to travel to new places. Every summer my family and I stay two months in Mexico embracing my Mexican culture is very important to me. My daddy built a playhouse for my sister and I there. It's one of my favorite places to play. World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about your education. I just started pre-k this year, I have learned English as a second language. I love to paint, draw, and play with all my friend's. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? Women are strong, they are independent and smart. There is no limit for any accomplishments. Frida Kahlo- At the end of the day we can endure much more than we think we can World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. This past year of 2021 was my first pageant, and I am excited with how I felt participating. World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? What inspired me was to see all the beautiful girls, I wanted to be like them. With my parents support I was able to become Mini Miss Latinita New Mexico. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I wanted to compete because I wanted be part of a pageant, to walk on stage and grow my confidence. Miss Latinita show's people how rich latino culture is. World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? Miss Latinita pageant is for girls between 4-12 year old, is a celebration of beauty, style and cultural appreciation, emphasizing on the opportunity for personal development on community, social, stage and speaking skills while they have a life experience feeling confident and happy embracing their culture. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? Not only is it beauty, dresses, heritage dress, it's how well you present yourself and the confidence you show. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. I loved being part of Miss Latinita, it was so much fun to wear such amazing dresses. Dancing is one of my favorite things to do, also enjoying myself with all the girl's. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. I help my mom prepare meals for our elderly neighbors; I also make sure to take care of my clothes so I can donate it once I outgrow it. It's important for me to always check up on my neighbor Margarita or (mamá coco) as I call her because she is so kind and loves my company. World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? It's very important for my family to thank our community heroes. I have donated flowers to local nurses and doctors to thank them for their service World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? This school year I learned how to write my name, I also learned to speak English. I am now bilingual and very proud to continue my Spanish speaking with my grandparents. World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? I stand out from other girl's because, I have a huge personality! My mommy taught me to always speak my mind and be proud of who I am. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. When they called my name, I was so proud of myself and felt like a queen. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? To be a beauty queen is the best feeling, I love to tell everyone I am Mini Miss Latinita New Mexico because I am a role model to other girls. World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? It helped me in my life, because I know I can achieve my goals such a young age. World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your self-esteem and body image? My self-esteem is amazing, I love to hear how gorgeous I am. World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? It feels great that I can inspire other girls, when I think about it that it makes me very proud of myself. World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on-stage strategy to win the judges over? My stage strategy is to be yourself, to smile, feel like you are already a queen. World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? My mommy helped me by making a little stage at home. I would walk out say my name and where I'm from in front of my family members. While they all cheered me on. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Walk slow, and smile stay focused and if you mess up, just keep trying. Don't give up! World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? The right dress needs to fit right, you need to feel good in it. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? Be yourself, look everyone in the eye's and have fun. World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? I think my mistake was to want to hold on the microphone the entire time, I just love how I feel when I speak into it. World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? Most girls are too shy, they get too nervous. I think they just need to relax and go with the flow. Their beauty will shine. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? I don't have any modeling or acting experience yet. Maybe in the future if it interests me. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2022 as a Queen? My 2022 beauty queen plans are to help people, donating food, and supplies to unfortunate communities in my city and Mexico. World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want girls to know that no matter how small you are you can do anything that you want.
