World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
Mother of 4 beautiful children (2 boys & 2 girls). unfortunately, I have lost my eldest son 10yrs ago when he was 15yrs (sight). I was working & groomed by the Shangrila property for almost 20yrs and now i am working with Breeze Magazine as Marketing Executive. I am a dog lover too.
What does women Empowerment means to you?
Empowerment comes along with positive vibes & value that inspired others to become or do better, stronger and more confident.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
My 1st year competing was in 2006 (Mrs Sabah) & won a subsidiary title, MRS TALENTED. During that time, there was less awareness or acceptance in the pageant system especially for married women. I was snoozed for a while & started competing in 2018 at Mrs Borneo Queen & managed to be at top 15. At the same year, 3 months later I was competed in Mrs Grand Gorgeous & won a subsidiaries title, Best in Evening Gown. A month Later, I was the 1st runner up & awarded as Mrs Inspiration for Mrs Queen Elegance,2018. Not long after that, I was competed in Mrs Queen of the World, International in October 2018, awarded with 3 subsidiaries titles People choice Award, Mrs popular by social Media, Mrs popular by Audience and finally become the Winner carried a Title MRS QUEEN OF THE WORLD, Universe & represented Malaysia to India.
In India, I was Crowned as winner for Angel Queen, Mrs Queen of the World,2019.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
Pageantry is a door of opportunity & connected you to the world. It's more networking to all agencies & people around you. You can speak & talk about parenting, children, education, health or event give a motivation.
I took the 1st walk on the stage when I had 3 children & amazed by many woman especially mothers. 13 years later, after have 4 children, I am confidently walked on the stage & feel proud that I am still in good figure. Again, I was questioned how do i kept in shape. I have no secret recipe, but I always wanted to look good for my husband & children. Whenever you groomed well, you feel good, confident and feel healthy. Health is very important and its the essence of being beautiful & true happiness to your family.
I am strongly believed the true beauty of a woman is lied after giving birth of a child.
I am a survivor of Domestic Violence, had a broken family, losing a dearest son that caused me depression and finally become an Angel Queen Winner in Mrs Queen Of The World, is something that I want to share & inspired woman out there.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
It's an opportunity & my dream..It was more than great to represent my Country, especially to stand up among beautiful women in the world and this is a platform where i can be more brave, confident, educating and not just shared my voice but my people voice too.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Mrs Queen of the World is a very Unique pageant. Each year it has an advocacy towards global issue. This year they selected Gender Equality and it diversity throughout the World. This was a great advocacy & awareness, yet woman empowered are still count as a main subject.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
Discipline, Attitude, The confidence Level & being knowledgeable beside beauty.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
4 days before I was flew to India, I got bitten by dog. I was injured at my left ankle & hand palm. It was badly swollen due to infection. Yet, I don't put this as an excuses not take part for any activities & still wearing my heels. I still have the scars and I named it 'victory'.
India is an incredible country. I have not encountered a problem with food. The food are nice, thou I don't really eat spicy food. Its similar in Malaysia,where you can find curries and roti. I love their milk tea & coffee.
I was thrilled with their Tuk Tuk Bike & bus riding was really fun.
Mysore Palace was such an amazing heritage. Most important and the best part was, I have met beautiful pageant siblings around the world.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I am very good in public speaking, it could properly that I was came from a hospitality industries. Giving a motivation talk & get involved with NGO or any government project to empowering woman, charity & school visit are something that I am happy to get involved.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
A: Since I came back from India, I have been involved in charity visit & appeared in many pageant events as a special Guest or Judge.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
A: I am founder & CEO for Lady Rose Events & Talent. I run an academy for grooming & catwalk classes. I am also the new Malaysia Director for Miss & Mrs Queen Of The World and National Director for Mrs Continental International.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
A: I never put other contestants as my competitor. I am more focus with my stage performance, get ready for any spontaneous question and keep the right attitude.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
Everyone of us are equally beautiful but what makes it different is my personality & attitude.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
I guess I was paused for few seconds and almost cannot recalled my name, but it was such an amazing moment and in my eyes, I can see my children, my proud husband & my mom in law who had helped me a lot.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
Beauty Queen is not just a person who wearing the winning crown but its more how you keep it shine by kindness, humble, respect,inspired & empowering one another.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
Beauty Pageants helps me a lot in communicating with society besides it boosts up my confidence level and discipline. Going through the experience of a beauty pageant help me to go for other things that I want and push me moving forward.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
A: It has groomed me very well, the look & personality. I am more confident now & of course I am very approachable.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
When someone get inspired, it will empowering too and that is more than just a wonderful feeling.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
The mirror become your best friend. Always practice your catwalk & facial expression in front of the mirror. Find your best spot, look & locked it.
Enjoy the music at the same time & swing your step with the right attitude.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
All dresses are equally beautiful but understand your body figure will makes you chose the right dress. Don't forget to be in full make up & hairdo for a dress fitting.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
Be knowledgeable towards global issue & understand your answering content ,will be the best tips. Don't forget to smile because it will wash off the fear & makes you more confident.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I did a lot of researched by studied the world pageant criteria & its Q&A. My husband become my mentor. He gave me feedback,tips & particular with my fitness. I practice my catwalk at home every day & monitored by my him.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
I wish I can do more content in my advocacy.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
Biggest mistake was when they are compete each other & try to do dirty tricks. Personally, I felt not competing with the other contestants but it's a matter how to breaking eyes with the judges.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
Honestly...no, but I always do my catwalk at home & acting is my nature talent.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?
I want to established a world class pageant in my place, as I saw many pageants Event happened now without a proper vision & direction.
