World Class Paris Haute Couture Magazine would like to welcome amazing designer Paloma Pebereau of PP Couture.

World Class Designers Magazine: Please tell us about your brand.

PP Couture seeks to be a timeless brand and I aim to create clothes that could fit all ages. I strongly believe that any fashionable item can come out of fashion while good proportions, harmony in colors, textile quality are forever. It is with this in mind that I start every new design. World Class Designers Magazine: Tell us about the history of your brand.

I started working on this brand in 2017 and immediately produced a very wide range of clothing. It was like all these ideas had been boiling in my head for years and it all came out in a rush. After that I met a few very interesting models and photographers who appreciated my work and accepted to represent it.

World Class Designers Magazine: Please tell us about yourself.

I strongly believe that artists and designers should never talk too much about themselves in the context of their work. I can tell you a little bit about my professional journey. I studied architecture and later designed furniture. Today I am moving to Fashion. Architecture, sculpture, drawing, painting, jewelry, fashion or cooking ... In my eyes, all these disciplines are conducted by the same rules of aesthetics ; Proportions, harmony, material quality.

World Class Designers Magazine: Tell us about your collection we are showcasing.

For this collection, my inspirations were very varied. They went from Greek drapes, to Bauhaus sculptures and even Dutch’s painters’ color palettes. But the most important thing, the idea I kept in mind all along, was to create a collection of « Affordable Chic ». I try to make stylish apparel and it is important to me that it remains accessible for everyone.

World Class Designers Magazine: What was your inspiration?

Everything I do is dictated by Antoine Lavoisier’s saying that « Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed ». My designs and inspirations all come from clothing that have inspired me in my youth or from my cultural roots. I grew up in Andalusia, moved to Paris when I was 17 and later lived in New York and in Morocco. I believe all these cultures have found their place in my work.

World Class Designers Magazine: Which major fashion shows were you able to showcase your collection so far?

None.

World Class Designers Magazine: What local, national or international celebrities did you dress so far?

None.

World Class Designers Magazine: What made you decide to become a fashion designer?

It is my curiosity for all forms of arts and aesthetics that drove me to fashion. I had an urge to create and give a form to my ideas. Fashion seemed accessible and coherent with how I felt at the time.

World Class Designers Magazine: What were some obstacles as a young designer that you had to overcome.

The main obstacle I have met was with distributing my brand and finding people to broadcast my work. I am first and foremost, an artist. Coming up with ideas, creating them in a limited amount of time, renewing my inspirations, all this comes very easily. But without a real solution for distribution and advertisement, nothing can happen.

World Class Designers Magazine: As a established Designer what are your goals now?

My goal is to continue exploring this independent style of « affordable chic ». World Class Designers Magazine: What can we expect from you in 2021 as a designer?

I never speak of the future. I’ll simply try to expand my client base while remaining independent.

World Class Designers Magazine: How can clients purchase your designs or contact you?

As of today, you can either visit me at my home or contact on instagram :

World Class Designers Magazine: What legacy would you like to leave behind?

This is not for me to consider. There is only cultural legacy and this is for everyone and from everyone.
