I am a person who likes to express the love I feel for life. I am also a determined person and very persistent in what I want. I like to learn about all things, I like adventures and meeting new people.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
For me, empowerment is the way in which we use our knowledge to be able to contribute positive things to our society and build ourselves as people to be the example of World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history?
Miss Quetzaltenango emerged in 1952. The contest focuses on publicizing the richness of our culture as Quetzaltecos. also to be able to show the beauty of women and their empowerment to contribute good things to society.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
My first contest was from a very young age (I still have the band) I always admired the ladies in these contests because I saw them use their position altruistically
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
To know that I can use the contest as a platform to contribute to Quetzaltenango in the way I want. It inspires me to know that in this way I can help and make known the richness of our culture.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
The Miss Quetzaltenango contest is to exalt the beauty, identity and culture of Altenses women. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
The contest is interested in young Quetzaltecas with values and who can be an example for all the girls and women they represent. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
During the contest I was able to meet many people and make new friends, we had different activities such as reforestation, public speaking classes and also several catwalks.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I have tried to get involved in various activities. When the pandemic started, I started a food collection campaign, and worked with a national company to bring water to our regional hospital. I have started to work on some animal campaigns since I consider it important to raise the voice for those who do not have it World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
Since the beginning of my reign I have had too many activities and my favorites were those of independence since in Quetzaltenango we have the biggest festival in Central America. later I was invited to various places in the country to learn about their beauty contests and to be part of the qualifying jury or as a special guest. and of course I have worked in my social works.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
I consider that I have worked hard and I continue to do so to achieve the expectations that the Quetzaltecos have for me, and although I have successfully completed several projects, I want to continue working much more.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
I heard people say that it does not matter to win or lose and what differentiates me from them is that I always know what I want to achieve and I trust myself, I always give my best in every way to always be the best. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
When they said my name I felt that time stopped, I thought I was dreaming and when they put that crown on my head I knew that one of my great dreams had come true. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
For me it is not only about the beautiful dresses or the crown there is something much further in beauty contests such as love for the place you represent, the pride of showing your culture and being able to help others. World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? Although since I was a child I liked contests, I used to be shy and contests have given me a lot of self-confidence and have helped me develop my character, that makes me happy. World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? Beauty contests have given me a lot of security and to develop a good character. Regarding image, I always like to learnmore and handle an image with elegance.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
I remember when in a parade a little girl pointed to me and told her father that she wanted to be me, that inspired me to give much more than I wanted before because I know that children are inspired by what they see and that makes me want be better World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
There is no strategy, you just have to be yourself and they will know if you are the one World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I am very committed and I make a list of the areas in which I must work that is how I choose days and hours to work on everything. I like to organize each of the things that I will use. It is important to also prepare myself in current issues since people will be interested in your point of view. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
This area is one of my favorites and without a doubt the first tip would be ... always do it with music, it is also important to try different types of heels and do not forget to watch tutorials from experts. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
You can look for ideas that you like on the internet, let's not forget that it must be according to our body. It is always good that the designer advises you on the colors that go well with your skin and also looks for the right accessories, heels, hairstyle and makeup for your dress. do not forget to feel comfortable and shine.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
read a lot on all topics and stay informed on the news. so you will have knowledge in all areas and there will not be a question that you cannot answer World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
I think I would not change anything since everything I did brought me to where I am
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
They lack confidence and work harder.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any acting or modeling experience?
Yes, now I also have a model facet which I enjoy a lot and have worked with good national brands.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2021 as a Queen? Last year I worked focused on the pandemic and this year I would like to work on my main objectives such as the environment and animal campaigns.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
I want to be remembered as the queen who really brings something positive to society and inspires children to work hard for their dreams as they are the future.
