World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

I really felt the need to face some fears and place myself in a situation in which I had no choice but to grow as an individual.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

I am very proud to be Cuban, therefore truly wanted a chance to represent my roots internationally.

World Class Beauty Queens:  To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

Miss Cuba US allows Cuban woman to represent our roots. Due to the political circumstances in Cuba, rarely do we Cuban women have a chance to represent our island’s beauty and Miss Cuba US has provided that opportunity.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What are you being judged on during the competition?

Self-confidence, Public Speaking Abilities, and Poise

World Class Beauty Queens: How was your experience during the competition.

This experience has made a tremendous impact on me, I have overcome some personal insecurities and gained a new perspective on life. The pageant itself was wonderful and I truly made some new lifelong friends.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

I am an advocate for Women’s rights and education. Even in today’s society, nearly 200 years after the initial upriser towards the recognition of our rights, women are still fighting for equal treatment, education and health care. Not just in America but globally! Apart from my involvement in women’s empowerment, I also am aiding in the restoration of the one place we all call home. The earth needs our help and if we don’t make drastic changes our damage will be irreversible.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

In the short period I have been reigning I have had the opportunity to attend numerous events. The Miss Cuba Director is great at networking and constantly has new events to add to our schedules. I have attended charity events such as the Holtz Children’s Hospital Prom and the Prom to Remember. As well as radio interviews, parades, and galas.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of you’ve achievements?

I am a first-generation college student and that alone makes me very proud. On top of that I have recently obtained an associate’s degree and am now admitted into the bachelors program. I feel that my commitment to my education is my greatest achievement.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What is your onstage strategy to win the judges over?

I make eye contact with each one of them, smile and nod in confirmation that I am acknowledging their presence.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

I believe my humility is what has allowed me to stand out through this whole process. I will never forget where I came from and the struggles my parents have faced to help me achieve my dreams.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did it feel to hear your name as the winner?

Initially I felt very overwhelmed with many emotions but shortly after I felt a great sense of gratitude and joy.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

Being a beauty Queen to me means to be resilient, ambitious, independent and overall empowered.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

Competing in pageants has gave an extra boost of courage and self-confidence, for this I am very grateful.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there.  How does it feel?

I carry this responsibility with much pride, and I aim to be a voice for many women.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

My biggest tip would be to record one’s self as you walk and then self-evaluating your movements. This will allow you to gain a new perspective on how you look and to be more conscious as you walk on stage.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

Try as many of them on! Don’t settle for the first one.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

Allow yourself to be comfortable. The judges are humans just like the rest of us. Treat the interview as a conversation and your answers will flow more genuinely.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

Not until now, I am rather new to all of this.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?

To be as involved with the community as much as possible and inspire Women everywhere.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I want to leave the legacy of standing for what I believe in. Rather then being the conditioned and branded woman of being submissive and weaker that society is used to, I will always speak up! I will not allow for society’s standards to define me.
