World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.

I was born in Costa Rica and have been living in Canada for the last 16 years. I am a biological mother to Brittany (21), Jhoshua (19), & Mathew (17) and a stepmother to Jelena (25), Brandon (23), & Courtney (19) and a grandmother to Cade Charles (3). I am an entrepreneur in the beauty industry who thrives on guiding women to achieve their beauty goals.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?

I have become very aware of the price of saying you think, feel or believe you are beautiful. Social media has opened the opportunity for everyone to make their opinions public. Our youngest generation is struggling with what beauty really is. Opening others' eyes to what their real beauty is and how they should see and love themselves is my passion. Not just telling them they are beautiful, but making them see it with their own eyes, and more so to feel it and believe in it.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

Actually, this my first time participating in anything like this in my life. I have never done a pageant or any type of modeling.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

The idea was presented to me and having a naturally curious personality,  the idea of challenging myself to experience and learn from it was something I couldn't resist.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

I love that Mrs. Globe represents an opportunity for women my age and in their different stages of their life to be able to enjoy their right to wear a crown and to understand the real meaning of feeling empowered and beautiful.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

It is a pageant for "Mrs." women aged 24 to 44 who send a strong message to empower women and those with a strong social media outreach because they are world figures and need to be able to know how to handle themselves in the media spotlight.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

Personality profile, swimsuit and evening gown.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

My idea of beauty pageants was based on what I saw on TV as a child. I didn't realize at first what a journey of self discovery and how empowering this was going to be for me. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the Mrs. Globe organization is more of a sisterhood where I can find love, support and encouragement to be my best self in every aspect. My experience has been more than extraordinary.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. The woman in need foundation is doing something that can change lives forever. Emotional support and education on topics such as narcissism are invaluable and creates a stronger society. WIN Foundation helps women identify and flee abusive relationships as well as find themselves afterwards. World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

I have participated in fundraisers in my city as well as visited my hometown in Costa Rica for a TV interview. I also visited the city of New Jersey to participate in shows moreso dedicated to the Spanish community in the United States.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

I have to say one of them is my business that not only allows me to live comfortably and with the flexibility to participate in events like this but more than anything, because I spend my days doing something I love. However, my biggest achievement is being able to see my children grow into the amazing young adults they have become.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

I would have to say I am very authentic and I have a good heart that shines through my personality. I have a witty outlook on life and I'm often told I'm very fun to be around.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. "Oh Yea!" Was what came out of my mouth in that moment. Don’t ask me why, I don’t often use that phrase but I guess the excitement was to much to articulate any other words.  World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? I never dreamed or considered a crown something I wanted or needed, but now and forever that crown is there as a part of me. To keep me accountable for my self love. To never forget my value as a woman and my responsibility help other women to find their own crown.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? It’s changed me on so many levels, I don’t see it as competing against anyone but myself. It's so easy to compliment someone and to criticize ourselves. I’m competing with myself to always love and accept myself everyday.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? I learned to look at a picture of me and realized I didn’t just look pretty in the picture. I am the pretty girl in the picture. That warms my heart and makes me smile.  World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? It’s a great responsibility that I don’t take lightly. Before the pageant I have always tried to positively influence others, and the pageant has opened the doors to reach more people every day.  World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? I fill my heart with a positive emotion. Fun, romantic, enchanted. If you can feel the emotion, you can shine with that energy.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I put my personal touch into everything I wear on stage and that consumes the majority of my free time. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Feeling confident and comfortable is key, but I have to admit I’m still in the learning stages and YouTube has been really helpful.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? Don’t follow fashion. Find your own style, find the one dress that makes you feel amazing and rock it. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? There’s no tips, be yourself. It all comes down to whether you are the right person for the criteria being crowned. It's not just wearing the crown but being the queen of your title.  World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? I see everything as a learning experience, so even when things don't turn out as expected, I adapt easily. World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? I like to look at everything with positive eyes and don't really pay much attention to negatives. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? No, I haven't had any previous experience. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen? The most important thing for me is to become a positive role model for women my age and for our younger generation in regards to self image and self love. World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I hope to leave a legacy of a better understanding of the necessary changes and our own perspectives of beauty, the way we perceive and talk to ourselves and how that affects a woman's self esteem. I find our society is at times cruel and that has become an obstacle for women to accept themselves and to see their own beauty. My message to every woman is love yourself the way you want to be loved.
