World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share a bit about who you are? Like, what are your passions outside of the pageant world?
I would say I am an enigma who is on an eternal quest for knowledge. I have never taken the easy road, but have worked hard at each step of my life and career to push myself daily. I have been lucky to have had a chance to explore many fields and to have many interests. I am an attorney specialized in intellectual property law and entertainment / media law. However, I am also a journalist, an international TV Host, author (2 books published + over 3000 articles published in papers worldwide), lyricist (conceptualized and wrote “I Rise” by Agents of Harmony), dancer (trained in ballet, tap, jazz as a child; trained in 3 types of Indian classical dance (Bharatanatayam, Kuchipudi, Odissi); Bollywood / semi-classical; Zumba), and Indian classical dance teacher. I am an avid reader and absolutely love any and all movies!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What's it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?
Education has always been my driving force as our family has valued education and made it a priority. As a child, I had gotten a sports injury in my right hand that had changed my life. It had turned into a serious chronic pain syndrome where I used to be paralyzed in the mornings. I could hardly attend school due to the pain. My classmates became my strength and support, but many teachers and principal were not able to understand the situation. I have an eidetic memory so could still retain material without being in class. So, that made many teachers target me. My principal in high school actually called me to his office one day to tell me that I will “never make anything of myself” and should “drop out of school.” While many could have listened to an adult’s advice and dropped out, my self-belief didn’t let me fall prey to his words. Instead, it sparked a fire in me and I began taking College classes in computer science starting 9th grade. I went on to get 3 degrees in my life. I became the first attorney in my family and received my Doctorate in Jurisprudence from University of Connecticut School of Law. I served as the Magister (President) of the Law Honor Society and was also the commencement speaker. I didn’t go into law with a background in law. Instead, my degrees were in Computer Programming and “Health: Science, Society, and Policy”. That major encompassed areas like medicine, economics, and management. Having such a diverse background helped me to adapt and evolve over time. It also is the reason my focus has been on women empowerment and getting girls’ a quality education as education opens doors we may not otherwise access.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women's empowerment is such a key topic. What does it mean to you personally?
Women empowerment is one of the most important issues in our world. If we educate a girl we are truly educating a family. I made it my mission to make women empowerment and girls’ education a priority because education opened so many doors for me. I have worked hard towards this goal by being an ambassador for Girl Rising and an ambassador for the Indian Dreams Foundation. For the latter, I helped them raise $10,000 in 3 days to become a vetted UN organization. This means they could accept international donations. That $10,000 was used to help 30+ girls for life with their expenses, including their education.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?
I was a tomboy growing up and never would have guessed I would be a pageant Queen. I had entered pageants when a friend in law school had dared me to do so as she was confident I would do well, but I didn’t think it was a world that was meant for me. However, I have now been the winner of some incredible titles like Jewel of India Miss Connecticut 2014, Ms. East Coast America 2014, Ms. Woman of Achievement International 2017, Ms. USA Northeast 2018, Ms. Women of Service Northeast 2018, Women of Heart Awards International Brand Ambassador 2022, and now Ms. Regal World 2025-2026!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?
I decided to take a step and enter pageants as I am always about trying to step outside my comfort zone. I think it is important to not limit ourselves and to expand our minds. Learning and growth only happen when we try new experiences! Like many, I had preconceived notions of pageants, which was part of the reason why I had shied away from it before. However, I soon learned that we should never just make assumptions. I learned that pageants are actually a great way for women to speak on platforms that matter. Pageants are a great way to amplify important causes with our voices. Realizing that I was able to speak to my cause of getting girls’ quality education using my crown to shine a light on such an important topic truly was a key moment in my life. I've become a fan of pageants ever since!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?
It had been a few years since I had done pageants, and I was not going to make a return to pageants unless it was one that truly aligned with my mission for women empowerment. Miss Regal World is a pageant that fits my platform perfectly. It is one that I felt celebrated women from around the world for who they are. I knew I would be proud to represent such a pageant on a global stage.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I'd love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?
Miss Regal World is an online pageant system that was conceived during the pandemic to enable pageant activity and competition to continue regardless of world events. It welcomes all females from around the World to compete at an International level, but from the comfort of one’s own home online. Contestants don’t need to have any particular background or status (can be single, divorced, married, with kids, without kids, etc.) It celebrates women as they are and in all their glory!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director apart from others?
Luckily, all my pageant directors have been incredible women and have been very supportive of me and my endeavors. I am so proud to be part of my current system, Miss Regal World. Victoria, who created the pageant and is the International director, created this pageant during the pandemic. At a time when the world was engulfed in darkness, she had a vision to empower women via pageantry. She is a woman who cares about each contestant and values and respects each contestant for who she is as an individual. Her willingness to embrace every woman as she is sets her apart from other directors.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: During competitions, what are the key things you're judged on?
Pageantry isn’t just about external beauty. It runs far deeper than that as internal beauty - traits like kindness, compassion, and positivity - are the ones that matter more. A Queen is judged based on her ability to speak, to exude confidence and stage presence, and most importantly on what her purpose is and what her mission is. She must have poise, passion, and a plan for positive change. She is judged on how well she communicates her platform, how well she understands the system, how supportive she is of others, and must be one who can be a good role model for others. Beauty means a lot more than appearance as a true beauty is one who has compassion and commitment.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?
I have loved my pageant journey as it has shown me a whole different side of myself. Each pageant I feel I have grown as an individual and emerged with a better understanding of my resilience, ability, and strength. I have seen the value of hard work and have been proud of myself for having stepped out of my comfort zone to enter a world that eventually became a world where I am most comfortable. Pageants have taught me discipline and increased my self-belief. This year, when I won Ms. Regal World, I had become so close to my co-contestants that I almost forgot it was a competition! There were three finalists shortlisted in each category. However, even after the runner up was announced in my category - because I was close to so many girls, it didn’t hit me that I was a winner until my name was actually announced! I was expecting there were other girls in the running and forgot only 3 finalists were involved! Truly blessed to have the friendships I have formed!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Would you recommend your pageant system to others? If so, why?
100% as all the girls come from such strong backgrounds, have powerful missions, and the system has a very supportive set up!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?
I have focused on women empowerment and girls’ education as well including those focused on suicide prevention, anti-bullying (hosted an anti-bullying gala with the NY Giants that raised thousands of dollars), bone marrow donation awareness (my efforts helped a boy in Connecticut find a match), amongst others. I have been an Ambassador for Vision Aid, an organization that gives proceeds to the visually impaired in India. The funds help cover a variety of expenses for the visually impaired such as cost of living, medical procedures, and their tuition for education. I am most proud, however, of my work to get girls a quality education. My platform is “Rise Together” with a focus on women empowerment and getting girls’ quality education. I have always done unique initiatives to fundraise for the cause. I am an Ambassador for Girl Rising and an Ambassador for Indian Dreams Foundation (IDF). I helped IDF raise $10,000 in 3 days, which made it a vetted organization that can accept international funding. That $10K has been used to help 30+ girls for life with all expenses - including education! I wrote a children’s book “The Fish Who Wanted To Go To School” to raise funds for girls’ education and also conceptualized and wrote the song “I Rise” a women empowerment anthem by Agents of Harmony (available on all platforms) that also raised money for girls’ education. I will be continuing to raise funds for girls’ education. Locally, I have reached out to organizations working for girls’ education. I will also be speaking and giving talks locally and around the world on various women-centric topics such as how women can protect themselves, how safety affects women, why education matters, what laws women should rely on, amongst other issues.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: With your title, what kinds of appearances or activities have you been involved in?
As I have recently won, my appearances are just beginning! I have been blessed to have been the cover of international magazines, and have had media exposure in leading Indian newspapers already. Also, I have already done my first major appearance in support of my platform. Most recently in support of my platform on January 19, 2026, I gave a 1.5 hour solo online talk to female students at Stella Maris College in India to teach Women’s Safety from a global perspective (international laws, national laws - what they are and their applications) and how youth can engage to protect themselves.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry?
I have been so blessed to have been the recipient of many awards from around the world for dance, law, and my work for girls' education. Some notable awards I have received include being honored by the White House in the USA and President Obama as a "Changemaker", being bestowed the Presidential Gold Service Award (a prestigious national award that highlights one’s commitment to service), honored by state legislatures in various states for my various achievements, recognized as "40 Women Leaders to Watch" by Connecticut Women's Education and Legal Fund, recognized as an "Anokhi Advocate" in Canada (an honor previously given to individuals like Priyanka Chopra and Malala), given the “Women of Heart Award” in UK, recipient of the Shatakshi Women's Award in India for my work for girls' education and women empowerment, and Swadesh Bhushan Award in India, among other awards. One award I hold dear to my heart is my being recognized by Connecticut’s Malta House as a "Wonder Woman" - a title officially bestowed on me by the Connecticut State Senate. I have also been chosen as a lawyer of distinction for intellectual property law. I was honored as a Youth Changemaker by GOPIO in 2016. Other recognitions I have include Most Inspiring Woman of the Earth 2022, Most Phenomenal Woman of the World 2022, Shine of Indian Classical Dance, Nritya Medhini, International Lady Legend Award in the field of leadership, EDVISHAN Women of Substance Award 2025 - “Trailblazer Award”, among others. In 2024, I was honored for my success in multiple disciplines as a women achiever by the United India Organization of New England. I am super passionate about dancing - it is as essential to me as oxygen. I have been part of 38 successful world records in dance, including 3 Guinness World Records. I was also the first
Indian Classical Dancer to perform in the original part of the Boston State House in Massachusetts, where I was invited by and honored by State Senator Timilty for my ability in
various fields.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?
I am one of the few contestants that comes from such an extensive and diverse background. Each skill set of mine becomes an asset to the organization as I can powerfully represent any system on any issue, and can even use my legal expertise to protect the organization. My multi-layered background has become my superpower as it lets me easily connect to any individual (of any age, background, etc.). I am constantly seeking to learn and increase my knowledge base on a daily basis… and that thirst for personal growth makes me a driven individual who never stops working hard. I have never felt emotions like greed or jealousy as I have only worked to better myself day by day. I do not ever enter a competition seeing other contestants as my competitors. I truly see them as companions on my journey and have always been happy for their achievements. So, I truly am a contestant that leads with both heart and my brain, and one who wants to truly help everyone rise together. I think my authenticity and honesty is what makes me really shine.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?
When I won, I truly felt humbled and proud of my hard work. I had really strong contestants in my category, so to have the judges believe I was the one who could represent this system this year really made me so grateful. While in a way the crowning is a moment of closure as a winner is finally chosen and announced, for me, it simultaneously felt like the start of a marathon. Now is when the journey begins as I have to shape and mold my path. I truly hope to blaze a path that brings positivity, and to create a legacy that can endure a lifetime!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?
Being a Beauty Queen means stepping into a role that is much bigger than myself. It’s about the responsibility to be a voice for the voiceless and a source of light in my community. For me, true beauty is found in the grace we show others and the tangible footprint of kindness we leave behind. I truly wish to make a positive change and impact in the world. Being a Beauty Queen means carrying myself with an unwavering sense of class and kindness, transforming a title into a legacy of positive influence and compassion. I truly see the crown not just as an award, but as a platform for service and positivity.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants impacted your life?
Pageantry taught me to believe in myself and engage the world even more so with confidence. Pageants reignited the passion in me to make a difference and to lead with purpose. Most of all, pageants have brought some true gems in my life - and I don’t mean just ones on a crown - I mean all the directors and sash sisters without whom I am incomplete! I am so grateful to the universe for bringing such beautiful friends into my life.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants influenced your self-esteem and body image?
To be honest, I have always been confident in my body and who I am since the time I was a young child. I never compared myself to others, and was happy with who I was at any and all stages of my life. Pageants may have reinforced that mindset, but that inner confidence was always present since I never judged myself based on anything other than how much I was helping others and what difference I could make in the world. I truly have always had the fire within me to help others. For example, even when I was just 5 years old and in school, I used to sacrifice eating during school to make sure a homeless girl in my class could eat. So, I would give my snack at snacktime to her. I would also give her my lunch and would go the whole school day without food as I knew that I would be able to eat once I’m home whereas she couldn’t.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that feel, and what message do you want to share with others?
Believe in yourself. When the world tells you no, don’t just give up. You have the power to make change, to carve your own path, and to create new avenues for yourself. So, never give up. Always keep learning and keep working hard. Most importantly, never let ego consume you and don’t compare your journey to others. Instead, stay humble and continue to learn.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your strategy for captivating the judges on stage?
I think the key is to walk with purpose, speak with passion! I always stay authentic and genuine to who I am as a person. I never try to be someone else, imitate someone else’s style, or try to create a character for the stage. I believe the only way to captivate judges is to speak from the heart, and trust in one’s own ability! That self-belief will show on stage as judges will notice your confidence!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How do you prepare for competitions? Any specific routines or practices?
I don’t have any routine or practice. I truly love living in the moment and speaking from the heart. So, I really enjoy the real-time challenges!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Got any tips for nailing the perfect pageant walk?
Take your time. Many times people try to walk too fast or create complex choreography. However, sometimes simplicity is best - you can take your time! Make sure to smile and enjoy yourself! Don’t overthink the walk!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?
First and foremost the dress has to make you feel comfortable. If you’re walking and worrying about whether the length is too long and you’ll trip, then you won’t walk with confidence. So, more than the look of the dress, focus on what makes you feel most natural in your walk!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Interview rounds can be tricky. What are your strategies for a winning interview?
Try to stay calm. Don’t rush your answer. You can take a second before you answer so you can compose yourself, fully understand what was asked, and then answer.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Looking back, is there a moment in a competition you wish you could redo?
I don’t think I would change anything as each experience has been special in its own way!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What common mistakes do you see others making in contests?
Going in thinking you are the only one who can win is the biggest mistake to make. All the competitors have an equal chance and entering with the notion that only you deserve it is the wrong attitude to take. Be happy with the journey itself and find lessons in each part of the pageant!
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or acting?
I have been blessed to have acted in plays growing up, and have been a lead in my Indian dance teacher’s large scale productions in the USA. I have also modeled in New York and had the honor of walking in Delaware Fashion Week.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming year as a Queen?
I hope to link with organizations - both locally and internationally - that are helping girls to come up in the world. I will engage with schools and organizations to speak and give talks on various women-centric topics such as how women can protect themselves, how safety affects women, why education matters, what laws women should rely on, amongst other issues.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?
I hope my legacy is one that reflects compassion and care. I hope that my reign is seen as one filled with positivity and where I truly helped others rise along with me. I am not a Queen who chooses to stand in isolation, but is one who wants to engage with as many as I can to inspire and uplift. It takes just one voice to amplify a cause, and I hope I successfully use mine to help girls’ believe in themselves. I want to continue to open doors for others and help them achieve their dreams.
