My life out of pageantry consists of work, gym and sleep and getting out to the beach as often as possible, as well as working on my non for profit charity ‘’ Waste For Purpose’’. In my down time I love reading and doing my makeup and hair. I love music and dancing as I believe its good for the soul. I recently got back from 6 months traveling the uk and Europe, I had a blast meeting incredible people and making amazing memories and I cant wait to head to America at the end of the year ! World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment mean to you? Woman empowerment to me means that you not only help and uplift others but also lead by example. Woman empowerment means that you’re selfless, you put others first by always encouraging others to do the best and be the best versions of themselves World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. My pageant journey started in 2015 in the teen division. I entered the Australian Galaxy Pageants; I had no idea what pageants were all about. From my first pageant I walked away hooked, I had grown so much love for pageantry. It was such an amazing and inspiring experience, I also made lifelong friends. I continued to do pageants for 3 years in amazing systems still in the Teen Division. I then took a year off to travel the world. I came back to pageantry in 2020 and entered the Miss division for the first time. I headed back to the system where my love for pageantry started which was the Australian Galaxy Pageants system. This year with my hard work, love for the pageant system and my community I took out the national title of Miss Galaxy Australia 2020. World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? When I entered my first pageant, I didn’t know what to expect, all I knew was from what I had seen from movies. What inspired me to enter, is that I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and my mum fully supported my decision and entered me into it. Without pageants I would not have the confidence and personal growth that I have today World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? When I entered for my current title I didn’t actually know I was entering into the Miss division, I entered into the Teen division. I got a call from the national director telling me the age cut off has pushed me into the Miss Division which filled me with nerves and excitement. I entered into this system as I had goals I was wanting to achieve and I missed doing what I loved. I love everything that the Australian galaxy systems stands for and the charity’s its affiliated with as I hold it close to my heart. That’s I why I chose to compete for my title, I love everything it stands for. World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? Australian Galaxy pageants is about “ being the best version of you “ it’s about being yourself, giving back to the community and empowering other woman. The system is about making lifelong friends, while achieving personal goals. From seeing past winners and now knowing for myself the system is like a sisterhood, I now have sash sister’s all over Australia and the world thanks to this incredible system. The opportunity you get not only as a title holder but as a finalist is truly incredible. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? During the competition you are judge on 5 sections. photographic submission, swimwear, fashion wear, evening gown and interview. I think during the week you should act like you’re getting judged on everything you do throughout pageant week, the way you hold yourself, how you treat others and how you present yourself. You never know who is watching, so most importantly be you. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. My experience through pageant week was incredible, we were all spoiled by the pageant sponsor’s (SkinO2, CIIARA, QueenEquestrian) just to name a few. The national director made the week truly incredible as well as the 2019 Queens. The atmosphere during the week was amazing all the contestants were helping each other out I believe the week truly showed what pageantry is all about. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. I’m currently in the processes of creating a not for-profit charity that teaches businesses on how to cut down on their food waste percentage and how their food waste can be put to good use. As I manage my dad’s bakery I track the cost of how much food we chuck out. To many fresh products were getting chucked out because we bake fresh daily. I decided to get in contact with organisations that deal with the homeless, struggling family’s and troubled youth. Now every afternoon we have people come collect the food that would usually be wasted and it goes to help feed those who need it. My next step is to get other businesses on board so they can start delivering to those in need and to take part in ‘waste for purpose’’. World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? With having my title since the 7th of march I have already been out into my community. My first appearance as Miss Galaxy Australia I was invited to the dementia ward in an age care facility, we sang, danced and I had a truly amazing time sharing my pageant journey with them and putting smiles on their faces. I was also in my local paper. I also helped aid the homeless by supplying food bags for them. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately my community appearances have been put on hold, but that has not stopped my drive to continue to promote my platform and system through my socials. World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? My greatest achievements so far have been traveling Europe for 6 months by myself. Winning the title of Miss Galaxy Australia and being in the process of starting my non for profit charity. These three by far are my favourite and greatest achievements. World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? What makes me stand out is I am me. I’m uniquely myself as are all the other lovely girls who were competing. We all have unique quality’s which sets us apart from one another. But I do believe my drive, determination and passion for everything makes me stand out in my own way. When you live and breathe something it shines from within. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. The moment my Name was called as the winner I cried I honestly couldn’t believe it. All my hard work had paid off, my dream came true. My beautiful friend that stood beside me who was called to be first runner up hugged me tightly and congratulated me, her being so happy for me truly showed what pageantry is all about supporting each other. In my crowning moment seeing how proud my family was in the audience was truly a blessing. I was so grateful for everyone and the opportunity I had just received it’s a memory I will cherish forever. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? It means the world to me. It means I have a platform to be a voice for topics and issues that need to be heard. I get to be a role model for woman everywhere and lead by example to never stop chasing something your passionate about. Being a beauty queen means I can help make more of an impact. World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? By competing in pageants it has changed my life for the better, helping with amazing charitable organisations it shows how truly blessed you are and how grateful you should be. Being able to help make an impact with these charity’s has made my heart so full and opened my eyes. World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your self-esteem and body image? When I started in 2015 I had no confidence in myself, I didn’t believe I deserved to be in a pageant. I didn’t think I was good enough. After states and nationals my outlook on myself changed, although I didn’t make top 20 in 2015 I was so proud of myself. After this my self-esteem flourished, my body confidence grew as well and I learnt to love myself for who I am. I have come a long way and I’m proud of where I am today. I wouldn’t be where I am without the help of God, the people who surround me and the amazing systems. World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? To be a role model and inspiration to others is truly a blessing. I feel so grateful and humbled to have the opportunity to help make a difference. It blows my mind because I have queens I look upto and now to be one of them is crazy. World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on-stage strategy to win the judges over? Always make sure to be yourself on stage as it will shine through, make sure you look at all the judges while up there and truly enjoy the moment. Being genuine and eye contact will win the judges over and keep them captivated. World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I watch a lot of competitions in the lead up, Lots of YouTube videos. I hired out dance studios so I could practice my walk with my gowns and practice my poses and posture. I ate a healthy diet to make sure I was on my best game. I also practice interview a lot by getting family members to ask me questions. I had coaching sessions to make sure I was fully confident, and my performance was clean. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Practice in the heels that you will be wearing during pageant week. Make sure your shoulders are back and head up it will make your walk look clean, always make sure to stride and develop your own sexy unique walk. Watch former competitions like miss universe or any bigger systems watch how the girls walk and how they hold themselves. Film your walk and watch back and practice more and more. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? My tip for picking the right dress is to make sure it is not only age appropriate, but the colour of the gown complements your skin tone and hair colour. Also something that is very important is to make sure it complements your body figure. Make sure the dress you pick makes you feel sexy, confident and elegant. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? Be yourself. I can’t stress this enough. Judges will see straight through you if you are telling them what they want to here and pretending to be someone else. Interview is about letting the judges get to know you and if you have what it takes to be the next title holder. Make sure you know your points and what you want to state during your interview. Take your time answering don’t rush. Think about the question you have been asked before answering. If you make a mistake that is fine ! you are only human the judges understand. World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? One mistake I did in other competitions was compare myself to others, which is very easy during pageant week, you get too caught up in worrying about the other contestants you forget about focusing on yourself. When walking into pageant week most importantly enjoy your time but don’t compare yourself to others. This problem is an easy fix and something you just need to work on. World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contests? I think the mistake that some girls make is that they try to be someone they’re not. It does happen and I think its important through your pageant journey and pageant week being yourself as it shines through. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? I don’t have much modelling experience other than the photoshoots I have done through my pageant career. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen? My plans for 2020 is to really push my waste for purpose. My plans for 2020 is to not only promote the Australian galaxy system on the national level but take it abroad with my international traveling. I want to be involved and help make as much of a difference as I can in my community. World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want to be remembered as the queen that would always go above and beyond, whether It be through my charitable causes, helping those in need or giving people advice. Whatever it may be, I want girls to follow to aspire to go above and beyond what I have done. I want to leave footprints so deep that they will be remembered forever. I want to impact and change lives and to inspire. I hope that when I hand over my title I have made a huge impact in my community and that girls continue to look up to me and that the future queen goes above and beyond also.
