World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share a bit about who you are? Like, what are your passions outside of the pageant world?
Hi ! My name is Bew, or you can just call me Beauty, haha. I'm from Thailand. Of course, besides beauty pageants, I'm currently interested in many other things. Right now, I'm running an educational project called "Making Dreams Come True: Becoming a Beauty Queen" It's a project for children who are interested in learning about beauty pageants (this field is very popular in my country, and this project is free). We teach aspiring beauty queens how to walk, develop their personality, answer questions, and prepare for the pageant. At the end, we have them participate in a mock pageant to find the ultimate beauty queen of our project. The students showed a lot of interest! And I have many more projects in mind! Haha.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I’m curious about your education journey. What's it been like for you, any particular highlights or challenges?
I'm fortunate to have figured out what I liked and wanted early on. I've been fascinated by the Chinese language since childhood and had the opportunity to study it in my first year of junior high. During my final year of junior high, I realized I wanted to study abroad, so I applied for a scholarship. Of course, I chose China. I earned my bachelor's degree at Huaqiao University and my master's degree at Nankai University.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Women's empowerment is such a key topic. What does it mean to you personally?
In my mind. It means unlocking limitations, enabling women to transcend traditional boundaries and showcase their own leadership skills. I believe that when women are given confidence and opportunities, they can lead others to success just as effectively as anyone else.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you get into pageants? What sparked your interest initially?
Haha, actually, this is a very easy question to answer. It's because it's my dream. When I was younger, I thought that if we were pretty, people would choose us to represent them in beauty pageants. But as I grew older, I realized that just being confident and believing in yourself isn't always enough; opportunities don't always come hand-in-hand. You have to create those opportunities for yourself. When I competed the first time, I lost in the first round! Haha.
I wasn't bothered by that defeat at all. But I'm proud of my courage for stepping out of my comfort zone and doing it. Even though I lost, I lost at something I loved and dreamed of doing.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What motivated you to participate in your first pageant? Was there a defining moment?
My first pageant actually started when everything else in my life was in place. I had already achieved my goals in education and my career, but I realized I hadn't pursued my dream of being a beauty queen yet. So, I decided to go for it. My very first stage was a local pageant nearby. Most of the contestants were only 16 to 18 years old and already had great experience. Then there was me the oldest one there with zero experience! Haha. And yes, you guessed it... I was eliminated in the first round. I expected to make it to the finals and win some title, but since that wasn't the case, I'm not disappointed because I think I did a great job daring to do it.
But what I learned from my first competition was that during the voting round to select the first round qualifiers, flowers were given as votes. At that moment, many people brought flowers to give me. Yes, I didn't expect them to give me flowers, but they did. It was then that I realized how many people loved and supported me. I would like to thank everyone who has been following and supporting me. Thank you.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? What made it stand out for you?
I must say upfront that I've known about and followed the Miss Chinese International Thailand pageant for a very long time. As you know, I have Chinese ancestry, and I have a deep understanding of both Thai and Chinese language and culture. When the pageant first opened for applications, I immediately spoke with my team to discuss how we should proceed with the competition.
What made me stand out from others was probably my Chinese language skills and projects related to the Chinese language. During the interview, I prepared a lot of information about myself and my projects to present. I have several projects related to Thai-Chinese language and culture, mostly in the field of education.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I'd love to know more about your pageant system. Could you explain what it’s all about?
The competition system here is very simple. It's a regional competition. In Thailand, there are various regions, including the North, South, Northeast, and Central regions, etc. At the regional level, there are contestants from many different places. Once a title is won, that person will represent their province in the national competition. In my case, I chose to apply for the Central region of Thailand, so I became the representative of one of the provinces in the Central region to compete at the national level.
I am very proud to represent Ratchaburi Province, Thailand, in this national competition. Ratchaburi is a small province in central Thailand with stunning beauty and lush nature. If you have the chance to visit Thailand, I highly recommend visiting Khao Chan Waterfall in Ratchaburi.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What do you think sets your pageant director apart from others?
Oh, I want to express my deepest gratitude to my pageant directors, especially Eve and Porsche, the directors of the Miss Chinese International Thailand Central Region pageant. They were both incredibly kind and friendly. They helped me find work, took me to events, and provided unwavering support whenever I needed it. During the pageant's training camp in Pattaya, I developed a severe mouth ulcer; my lips were badly swollen. My director quickly contacted someone to buy medicine for me, which was able to treat my mouth ulcers. Otherwise, you would have seen me with a swollen mouth on stage! Haha. I want to thank both of them very much.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: During competitions, what are the key things you're judged on?
The judging of the competition will be based on a variety of important factors, including beauty, answers to questions, interviews, and activities during the training camp.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your competition experience been like? Any memorable moments or learnings?
My competition experience was so much fun! I enjoyed it from the regional rounds onwards, haha. I enjoyed preparing for the competition, getting my clothes ready for the pageant, getting physically prepared, preparing my social project presentation, and yes, I had so much fun and was so happy during the competition. I made new friends; it was a great time for me.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Would you recommend your pageant system to others? If so, why?
This competition was a really great experience for me. I had fun and gave it my all. I think if any of my friends want to compete for experience, I recommend trying this one, because the first step is always important. I believe in that.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell me about your advocacy or volunteer work. What causes are you passionate about?
Sure! I have many projects. The first activity stemmed from my internship at a school. I observed that the teachers spent a considerable amount of time preparing teaching materials to ensure the most effective teaching for the students. This gave me the idea to create teaching materials and donate them to the school. This project was initiated to create Chinese language teaching materials for sharing with interested schools. This initiative will reduce the burden on teachers in creating their own teaching materials. Teachers can use these materials to teach their students, thereby promoting Chinese language learning and making learning the language more enjoyable.
The next project is the "Making Dreams Come True: Becoming a Beauty Queen" project. For this project, I gathered my fellow beauty queens to provide training for students in schools who are interested in becoming beauty queens in the future. The training covers preparation, walking, answering questions, personality development, and finally, we hold a mock pageant for the students. The purpose of this mock pageant is to help the students understand the procedures and scenarios involved in a real pageant. And yes, our winner will receive a crown and sash representing our project. This is the first year we're holding this project.
And another project is my research project. I conduct research to study strategies and methods for teaching languages, aiming to help teachers of Thai, Chinese, and other foreign languages apply new strategies and methods to a wide range of students. I've been working on this project for a long time, and I received an award for outstanding research at an international academic conference in 2024.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: With your title, what kinds of appearances or activities have you been involved in?
My current position is first runner-up, Miss Chinese International Thailand 2025. I've participated in many different events, but among my favorites is handing out snacks to children at elementary schools. That day was Children's Day in Thailand, and the school and many private organizations came together to organize activities for the children.
That day, I invited several other beauty queens to hand out snacks to the children at a school with only 300 students, some of whom are from ethnic minorities. Seeing them, I wanted to help them realize their dreams, to inspire them to study hard, live their lives well, be good people, and continuously improve themselves.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Can you share some of your achievements, both in and outside of pageantry?
My success began when I had the opportunity to study abroad, haha. After that first opportunity, the second one was securing a scholarship for a master's degree. That was my main goal. In terms of education, I have to thank my mother and aunt very much for their support, which allowed me to pursue further studies and achieve success. Now that I've graduated, I want to share my success with others, so I chose to work in the field of education.
Because I believe that education can improve the quality of life, as the Thai proverb says, "The foundation of a house is bricks; the foundation of life is education." Now that I've had the opportunity and achieved success in my education, I want to share what I've gained with others through education as well.
As for beauty pageants, that's another dream of mine. I've wanted to compete since I was a child, but I never had the opportunity. Now that I'm older and feel it's time to pursue that dream, I've decided to try. And I want to encourage people who have dreams to not wait for opportunities to come to them, but to go after them.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: In such a competitive field, what do you think makes you stand out?
In the competition, of course, everyone was beautiful, talented, and very skilled. But I think what made me stand out was my presentation and my social projects. I have many social projects, and I actually implement them, as you know. I also received a volunteer award during the competition. I am very proud of this award.
And another thing that makes me special is the social projects I have. I have many social projects, and I actually do them, as you know. I have social projects, and I also received a volunteer award in this competition. I am very proud of this award.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: I can only imagine how it feels to win. What was going through your mind when your name was announced as the winner?
When the results came out, I was so happy for the winner and thought she deserved it. I also felt like I've come a long way, a very long way, to be here, and importantly, all three of us were incredibly strong competitors! Haha.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you?
For me, being a beauty queen doesn't just mean being a beautiful woman, but about how we create value for women and for humanity.
For me, the value of a beauty queen lies in creating it, in leveraging your experiences and using your voice to communicate with others, to gain acceptance from society and the world. For example, back then, I wanted to use my voice to promote education, giving younger students the opportunity to learn foreign languages, because language is a vital tool for communication and is crucial in the 21st century.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants impacted your life?
It's really impacted my life. For example, I have to lose weight and maintain my figure all the time, haha. And my workload has increased, like hosting TV shows and walking the red carpet. More people recognize me, so I have to take better care of myself and improve myself even more.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How have pageants influenced your self-esteem and body image?
I am very proud of my position and my efforts. As you know, according to the pageant principles, I took care of myself, became more health-conscious, and tried to control my weight and appearance. I love delicious food, like bubble tea, seafood, and grilled food. Before, I used to drink bubble tea every day. But after I won the title, my bubble tea consumption decreased. I barely drink it now, haha. For example, I recently went to a red carpet event. There was so much delicious food and freebies, but I had to control my diet, so I missed out on a lot of tasty and free things, haha. I regret missing out on all the delicious food, but I had to do it for my image, haha.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You’re an inspiration to many. How does that feel, and what message do you want to share with others
I am very happy that I have been an inspiration to so many people. I want to tell everyone that success partly comes from our actions. If you have taken action today and haven't seen results yet, please know that your success may be on its way to you. But if you haven't taken action yet, please do so. Don't wait for opportunities to come to you; seek them out and prepare yourself for them. Because when opportunity arrives, you'll be ready to seize it, if you're always prepared.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What’s your strategy for captivating the judges on stage?
My strategy is confidence. When we're on stage, the most important thing is to be confident. Because if you have inner confidence, that confidence will radiate outwardly. Your appearance, your gaze, your actions, your words will be confident and clear, making you stand out from others.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How do you prepare for competitions? Any specific routines or practices?
My preparation involves practicing my walk, answering questions, posing for photos, maintaining my appearance, and managing my stress and pressure on stage. Even though I've performed on many stages before, consistent practice is always better than sporadically. That's why I practice regularly on my own. However, managing stress and pressure on stage is something we don't do very often. But we can train ourselves to do it. It involves putting ourselves in a chaotic environment, like a market. Try being in that busy place for 10 minutes and try to calm ourselves down, ignoring the external distractions. Focus and concentrate on yourself, being aware of what's happening in the present moment. It's like the teachings of the Buddha: focus on yourself. When we can cut out external distractions, we won't feel overly pressured or stressed. Concentrate on yourself, and always be aware of what you are doing.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Got any tips for nailing the perfect pageant walk?
My secret is confidence and humility. Be confident in yourself, but at the same time, always respect and be humble towards others.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Choosing the right pageant dress can be crucial. What are your tips for making the best choice?
Regarding choosing my pageant dress, I actually usually choose based on my lucky color, which is purple, haha. But for the Miss Chinese International Thailand final, I chose a blue dress because I thought many of the contestants would choose white, red, or pink. I wanted to stand out, so I chose blue. My team also supported my choice. I have confidence in my team, so I didn't hesitate to choose blue.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Interview rounds can be tricky. What are your strategies for a winning interview?
My interview strategy, haha! I may not be outstanding in terms of singing, dancing, or sales skills, but my key is to confidently present all the social projects I'm involved in. As you know, I have a lot of social projects at my disposal, and the fact that I actually do them and present them is what I'm most proud of.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Looking back, is there a moment in a competition you wish you could redo?
No, because I think we've already done our best in what's already happened.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What common mistakes do you see others making in contests?
A common mistake I see, and one that often happens to me and others, is getting too excited. Haha. I'm very sensitive to sound. When I'm in a crowded place with a lot of noise, I get a little panicked and flustered. Because of this, I have to control my emotions, feelings, and maintain my composure at all times to avoid panicking or getting overly scared or excited. It's about being constantly aware of myself.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Do you have any experience in modeling or acting?
Yes, I have had the opportunity to be invited to model and act in short plays. Not many, but it has given me more experience. If the opportunity comes along, I would like to do it again.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans or goals for the upcoming year as a Queen?
My plan for this year is to take care of myself, build my image as a TV host, and create social projects for myself so that one day I can further develop these skills to achieve my dreams.
World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Finally, what kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?
I want everyone to remember me as a woman who is an academic in the field of education and a beauty queen who inspired students to pursue their dreams.
