World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: When and why did you decide be a fashion designer?
I decided many years ago. When I was a little girl I played with the dolls, making clothes for them from the pieces of fabrics that I could collect. Also changed the clothes that came from factory with the dolls, was so funny making my great collection in doll dresses, hahaha
When I was 16 years old the idea grew, during my sister's 15th birthday, there I knew I wanted be fashion designer, I designed the clothes to my family, and everybody adopted it!! I had familiar success! Hahaha
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: What year did you launch your first collection and how did you title it?
I remember that my first fashion show was long time ago, I just finish the school, still I was studying, I released my first collection in a salon of Palermo that still exist, very luxurious,
some of my best memories to that day... as if something started... That's how it went!
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Why did you choose to design Haute Couture for women?
I love the Haute Couture since I was very little girl. It's so much fun to sketch, the texture and the imagination from the source of inspiration. All the emotions, the sensations, all that in a great imaginary sphere. It makes you feel excited about fashion. Why the women's fashion? Because it's infinite, is versatile, is colorful, is voluble, is fragile and strong. Its everything you want to show, with this I don`t say that the male is not. But to be honestly in my opinion it's so limited.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Where was your first presentation as "Patricia Profumo" trademark?
My first presentation was 15 years ago in SHERATON HOTEL. I remember releasing a collection inspired for brides, very bold brides. With painted fabric, which are noble and rustic, very versatile, cute and comfortable. I remember the first tv channel that showed my fashion show was Canal 13 (Argentina) and Fashion TV. Since that moment, I don`t stop showcasing in fashion shows. obviously there were years that I did only a fashion show, and some years with brides, very worked dresses, then slowly, I was opening more and more, as in winter collections and summer, classic, and necessary to show your public and the world what you propose in each season.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: What collection did you present there and how was it inspired?
It was inspired by brides, dream brides, different, bold, modern, eternal brides.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: During your career have released many collections, have a favorite? Which and why?
Yes! My collections are very creative, galactic (inspired in the space) Diva (in unique women) among others, the most recent LOVE ROSE , PUPEE, MOULIN GLAM, and the last obviously the best LAMBORGHINI DONNA, after my partnership with the luxury car brand international, and I say the best, because as always my last collection is the best!... As always the feelings and spirit of overcoming own, always more, always forward, always the best to arrive/ begin.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: What are the fabrics that you most like to work with?
All the fabrics are excellent at the time of creation, because every one of them allows you to make your sketch perfect at the time of realization. There are seasons of summer and winter that makes your clothes be rigid, volatiles, sumptuous.
Chantilly, tafetas, rasos, laces, creps, gasas, muselinas are all used in the Profumo collections
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: What fashion events have you done in Argentina.
In Argentina, I've done them all! The provinces (states) have been stages of our designs in different events. Also in different private events according to municipalities or private organizations, also in popular summer fashion shows, like the staircase of Mar del Plata, or Pinamar, fashion week and Buenos Aires Alta Moda, among others.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: And abroad?
And abroad, many more. Fashion Week: Paris, Milan, Moscow, Madrid, New York, Miami, Hawaii (Maui), Bogota, Panama, San Pablo, DF Mexico, Santiago de Chile, Montevideo, Punta del Este....
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Which one was the most important to you?
I think Moscow and Milan impacted me the most! Moscow because it was when I went for first time, and I love the city, is wonderful. And Milan just because it is one of the cities where I would like live comfortably.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Tell us about your recent wonderful collection "Lamborghini Donna"
Lamborghini Donna is a project that began some time ago. But this year summer it was presented as a unique harmony of excellence and sophistication with high-end cars and Haute Couture. It's an experience that I`m crossing with a lot of pleasure and dedication. Lamborghini Donna arrives to stay and expands in Haute Couture that I love most to do, with continuation in lingerie among other designs.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: We know that you have dressed many celebrities, can you mention any of them?
Yes, there are many celebrities that came to my maison, some of them are Moria Casan, Mirtha Legrand, Ana Maria Piccio, Luisa Kuliok, Nora Carpena, Agustina Kampfer, Nicole Neuman, Karina Jelinek, Carolina Ardohain, Jesica Cirio, Julieta Prandi, Carolina Papaleo, Patricia Baca Urquiza and Maximiliano Guerra, between many others, They are unnumerable!
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: What celebrity would you like to dresss next?
I would love dress Hollywood celebrities, like Sarah J Parker, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie. That's my big dream, and without doubts I`ll achieve it, everything that we propose in the life... long or short: Arrives!
