Women empowerment means recognizing and unlocking the limitless potential that women possess. It's about providing the tools, opportunities, and support for women to excel, lead, and create change. True empowerment comes when women are free to make choices, pursue their dreams, and contribute to society without limitations.

My journey in the world of pageantry has just begun, and I'm thrilled to share that this is my first year participating in a pageant.

As a teenager, I held a dream close to my heart, one that I carried into my adult life: the aspiration to become a beauty queen. I was inspired by the notion that beauty queens are not just icons of beauty but also change-makers, individuals who can use their platform to make a meaningful impact on the world. This inspiration was the driving force that led me to participate in my very first pageant.
World Class American Royalty Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I chose to compete for my current title because it aligns with my personal values and provides me with an opportunity to amplify my advocacy for children with disabilities. This title enables me to reach a wider audience and create a more significant impact.
World Class American Royalty Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
The Mrs. Universe Georgia 2023 pageant, organized by Oitijhyo Traditions, is a North Georgia-based event with a unique and meaningful mission. What sets this pageant apart is the remarkable opportunity it offers—the winner of this title receives a direct entry into Mrs. Universe USA, which is a groundbreaking achievement.
Moreover, Oitijhyo Traditions, the organizer, operates a nonprofit arm called 'Mission Possible,' which embodies our commitment to creating positive change. Through this initiative, they utilize donated Indian clothing to create products, and all proceeds are dedicated to supporting various causes. In this instance, the proceeds are channeled to New Heights Academy. The pageant celebrates not only beauty but also the power of advocacy and philanthropy, emphasizing our dedication to making the world a better place.
World Class American Royalty Magazine: What makes your director different from others?
What sets our directors, Anusmita Bardhan Sur, Lakshmi Mandavilli and Sucheta Chakraborty, apart from others is their unwavering dedication and exceptional support. They've left no stone unturned in providing us with all the resources and guidance needed to prepare for the competition. What truly makes them stand out is their ability to create a sense of unity and belonging among the contestants. They've made us feel like a family, fostering an environment of camaraderie and encouragement, which is an invaluable part of our pageant journey.
World Class American Royalty Magazine: What are you being judged on during the competition?
Throughout the competition, participants were evaluated in three distinctive rounds. The Introduction Round allowed contestants to showcase their poise and audience engagement. The Avant-Garde Round assessed their creativity and fashion sense as they pushed the boundaries of traditional dress while maintaining an elegant and presentable appearance. In the final segment, the Question and Answer Round, contestants were judged based on their promptness and thoughtfulness in responding to questions, providing insights into their communication skills, ability to think on their feet, and the depth of their knowledge and values. These three rounds collectively offered a comprehensive evaluation of the contestants' personalities and abilities.

Competing in this pageant has been a remarkable journey of personal growth, self-discovery, and purpose. It has allowed me to connect with like-minded individuals, learn from incredible role models, and spread awareness about the causes close to my heart.

I would recommend this pageant system to women who are not only looking for a platform to showcase their beauty but also a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact in their communities. It's for those who are passionate about social causes and want to use their voice for change.

My platform is dedicated to advocating for children with disabilities. It's about raising awareness, providing support, and fostering an inclusive society where every child, regardless of their abilities, has the opportunity to thrive and lead fulfilling lives.

With my title, I've had the privilege to engage in impactful appearances, including volunteering hours at care homes for children with disabilities. Additionally, I virtually participated in the One Million March, a significant event dedicated to raising awareness about child abuse. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding and have allowed me to use my platform to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need.
World Class American Royalty Magazine: What are some of your achievements?
Some of my notable achievements include winning two consecutive gold medals at the national level in martial arts, a testament to my dedication and discipline. Another significant accomplishment was my transformative journey where I successfully lost 61 pounds in just six months, reflecting my determination and commitment to personal growth and well-being. Needless to say, winning the Oitijhyo Mrs. Universe Georgia 2023 crown is another great achievement that I am extremely proud of.

What makes me stand out from all those other beautiful girls is my unwavering commitment to taking this platform further. My ultimate goal is to achieve the prestigious title of Mrs. Universe, and I am willing to go all in with my dedication and hard work to make that dream a reality. My determination and passion for making a meaningful impact set me apart and drive me to excel in this journey.

My on-stage strategy is to be genuinely authentic, confident, and passionate about my advocacy. I want to convey my commitment to my chosen cause and connect with the judges through genuine emotions and a strong stage presence.

My preparation involved rigorous training in various areas from a prestigious Pageant Academy Gleamdiva, including communication, walking, and interview skills. I also invested time in understanding the pageant system, its values, and the expectations of the judges. Additionally, I dedicated myself to learning more about my chosen advocacy, children with disabilities.

Improving your pageant walk is a crucial aspect of a successful performance. My tips include practicing regularly, ensuring good posture and balance, maintaining a confident and graceful demeanor, and seeking professional guidance if possible. Confidence is key, so practice walking in your chosen footwear to ensure comfort and stability.

Selecting the perfect pageant dress involves understanding your body type, personal style, and the specific requirements of the pageant. One mistake I wish I could redo was not seeking professional coaching and guidance earlier in my pageant journey. Professional training and mentorship can provide valuable insights and skills that I believe could have enhanced my performance and confidence from the start.

During a pageant, it's important to recognize that every contestant steps out of their comfort zone, and this, in itself, is a remarkable achievement. While mistakes can occur, it's essential to acknowledge the hard work and dedication put in by all the participants. Pageants require contestants to balance multiple aspects, from interviews to talent presentations and evening gowns. Common challenges include nervousness during interviews, stage presence, or wardrobe malfunctions. However, it's vital to remember that each participant has worked diligently to reach this stage, and their commitment to personal growth and making a positive impact is commendable. We should celebrate the journey and the progress made by all contestants in their pursuit of a common goal.

I have some experience in both modeling and acting. During my graduation, I engaged in acting in short films with a mission to raise awareness about women's safety, and I also took up modeling opportunities with designers to earn some pocket money. These experiences allowed me to express my creativity and contribute to important social causes simultaneously
World Class American Royalty Magazine: What are your plans for 2023 as a Queen?
In 2023, as a Queen, I have ambitious plans ahead. I am thrilled to share that one of my primary goals for the year is to compete at the national level in Mrs. Universe USA 2023. This exciting journey will provide me with an even broader platform to advocate for causes close to my heart, including children with disabilities. Beyond that, I am committed to expanding my outreach efforts, working closely with organizations and communities to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for these children. Additionally, I aim to inspire and empower more young women to pursue their dreams, irrespective of their circumstances. This year is set to be filled with purposeful endeavors and an unwavering commitment to positive change.
