World Class Designers Magazine: Please tell us about your brand.
My brand is Michael Lombard and I exclusively create high end luxury leather collections made from sheep and calfskin. My brand launched in 2017 and I’ve been in over 22 shows all around the world from NYFW, London, Paris and many more. My style is edgy and modern with a touch of sophistication. I’m the first designer ever sponsored by Monster Energy Drink and I have deals with style fashion houses around the world.
World Class Designers Magazine: Please tell us about yourself.
I’m originally from New York now residing in the DC area. I come from a background in the music industry so it was a natural progression into fashion industry.
World Class Designers Magazine: Tell us about your collection we are showcasing.
My collection for Sept 2019 is called Von Groch Collection which is inspired from all my traveling to Europe especially Amsterdam. It’s a combination of Gothic, mid century meets apocalyptic world. Stay tuned.
World Class Designers Magazine: What was your inspiration?
All my travels always lead me to what my collection will be for the future. I’m inspired by architecture, museums and just my surroundings.
World Class Designers Magazine: Which major fashion shows were you able to showcase your collection?
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, NYFW, London Fashion week, Paris Fashion Week, Amsterdam, LAFW and upcoming Monte Carlo Fashion week among many others.
World Class Designers Magazine: What made you decide to become a fashion designer?
I just decided to make clothes that I liked and wanted to wear so I just started sketching and boom, here I am.
World Class Designers Magazine: What were some obstacles as a young designer that you had to overcome.
Main obstacles starting is manufacturing, money and getting your message out.
World Class Designers Magazine: As a established Designer what are your goals now.
Just keep growing and opening up my own high end store
