World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.

I am a graduate of Bachelor in Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism. I wear multiple hats. I am dedicated to my precious son and wife to a very supportive and an amazing husband who is a medical doctor and also my pageant coach. I work in his clinic as an account manager. I love to travel and cook. I am developing my own recipe for different foods

World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? Accomplishing your goals in spite of challenges and hurdles and empowering others to do the same.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. I have been running for pageants since I was a kid but I became more serious after I fell into postpartum depression. Running for pageants worked as potent medicine for my postpartum depression. While preparing for Q&A, I incorporated positivity in my answers and that was awakening moment for me. I started to see my life as a glass half full instead of half empty. Today I am a very happy woman World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? As a kid I felt beautiful and as an adult I wanted to express my beauty, more of inner beauty. I felt I had so much to offer. I felt I could inspire others. World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I felt that if I am chosen as Mrs Hawaii, I will have stronger voice and back up of very prestigious pageant system Mrs Universe to make a difference.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? Mrs Universe pageant system is about empowering women and create positivity, advocating against domestic abuse, animal cruelty and bullying as well as awareness about depression. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? There are many areas such as Forum, State Costume, Evening gown and Swimsuit but I believe most important is positive attitude. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. I had lots of fun when I realized that in reality we are only competing against ourselves

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. Postpartum depression awareness and giving voice to helpless animals by fighting against animal cruelty. I went through postpartum depression myself as I mentioned before. I realized that postpartum depression was very much under recognized and under treated. This motivated me to be advocate for postpartum depression awareness and leading me to open my own non profit organization about postpartum depression know as “ You are loved Foundation for Postpartum Depression Awareness” World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? I made appearances at several nonprofit foundations events including National Kidney Foundation, Hawaiian Humane Society and back to school supplies for underprivileged children sponsored by Walmart. World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? I have many achievements in the areas of pageantry, photo shoots, and runway modeling but my greatest achievement is that I continue to keep my family together with a strong bond with my son and husband in spite of all the activities that I am involved with.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? Smile... it is a secret. But I will give you one hint. Be yourself which I think is the most difficult thing to do.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? I believe all the girls are beautiful. What will make me stand out if I am able to express and convey my uniqueness, my attitude, my hard work and perseverance. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. My Gosh it was a dream come true moment to realize that I was Mrs Hawaii TCP. My eyes were full of tears due to happiness and joy and feeling of great accomplishment. World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? Beside being proud of myself I take it as a very serious responsibility. I have to make sure that I continue to inspire others and be the person that I teach others to be. World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? It completely changed my life. It deepened my faith in the value of hard work, perseverance and positivity. It made me realize that there is a great reward in giving your best shot.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? In a very positive way. The healthy diet and daily exercises made me feel energetic, happy and more confident. World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? It feel great and very rewarding. Every time I inspire someone and then I see the positive change, I feel I have made a difference and that is a great feeling.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Learn how to walk like a Queen. Watch videos of all the pageant winners to see how they walk, take some basic lessons and Practice practice, practice.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? Dress is a very important part of the pageant. Know the requirements, choose the color and design according to your aura. Most of all the dress should make you feel comfortable and happy.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? Focus on yourself, be yourself and do your very best.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? First of all I prepared for more than one year. Like any other competition practice and experience is crucial. I spent lots of time on healthy diet, daily work out and good sleep. I designed my own gown. Practiced my walk, poise and Q&A with my coach two to three times a week. World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? To be honest I am sure I have made more than one mistake but the important thing is that I have tried to learn from them. World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? I think most commonly girls loose their focus and try to be someone they are not. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? Yes I have extensive experience in runway modeling and print modeling. As far as the acting is concerned, so far it has been limited to bathroom only...smile.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen? Beside preparing for National pageant on August 3, 2019 in Atlanta Georgia, I continue to make appearances at different events. After the pageant, I plan to continue to advocate against domestic violence and cruelty to animals and promote postpartum depression awareness World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I want to inspire others that even after having children you can still feel beautiful and you can fulfill your dreams with hard work, perseverance and positivity.
