Women empowerment to me is when women have a sense of mature obedience in her heart, knowing what you want, how you think, how you behave in the best way that you know how, by being yourself, by celebrating your uniqueness, By just simply being you that’s women empowerment World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. I was invited by the organizer of Mrs Asia Pacific to audition for Mrs Asia Pacific. If not for her invitation, I wouldn’t be here. She’s been this route and she must have seen something in me that made her reach out to me and invited me to join this pageant. It takes a beauty queen to know one so I’m here to take on this new challenge and new phase in my life.  I’m someone who never says no if there’s an opportunity for me to try out new things and I’m very grateful to be given this chance to vie for any of the 7 titles namely Mrs Philippines Global Universe, Mrs Philippines Worldwide, Mrs Philippines Asia Pacific Global, Mrs Philippines Asia Pacific All Nations, Mrs Philippines Asia Pacific Tourism, Mrs Asia Pacific Intercontinental and Mrs Asia Pacific Cosmopolitan. In the local pageant, I was crowned Mrs Philippines Global Universe 2019 last February 4,2019. I was the official representative of the Philippines for the Mrs Global Universe 2019 and I was crowned Mrs Global Universe 4th runner up, Mrs Global Universe Special Queen Ambassador and Mrs Charming last February 24,2019. World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?  For me being married for 14 years, raising 4 beautiful kids and putting up businesses left and right, now is my time. This is my second act in life and fulfill my dream of becoming a beauty queen. I joined now because life is something that we need to value and we do not want to live in what if’s and what shoulds. I’ve  to appreciate my femininity, my being a woman, That even if we are building a generation of children who will make a difference in society, we should do what we need for ourselves and to know what we really want to achieve that will give us fulfillment and joy.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I joined Mrs. Philippines Asia-Pacific pageant is because I want to use this platform to advocate dress for success for youth and women empowerment. I would like to use this avenue to fulfill my mission and advocacy in changing the lives of women and youth By giving them the resources needed for them to achieve sustainable and practical lives. World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? It’s under Lumière International and this is a pageant for married women. This is also the inaugural year of Mrs Global Universe.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? We are being judged on our beauty, confidence, poise and intelligence. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. The international pageant Mrs Global Universe was from February 18-24. During that week, we had to follow a daily schedule wherein we had to go around Singapore and Malaysia and visit different sponsors. We also had to change hotels 4 times and travel from Singapore to Malysia and Malaysia to Singapore. We had several photoshoots for the national costume, evening gown, swimsuit and blue gown. Amidst our busy and hectic schedule, I enjoyed every minute of it as I gained new friends and got to experience new things.  World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. The mission of Dress for Success is to empower women and the youth to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women and the youth to thrive in work and in life. World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? TV and radio guesting, visiting a local city jail to deliver goods and to empower them that once they’ve served their time they can go back to their family and fulfill their purpose in life.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? I’m happily married with 4 beautiful kids. I’m a successful businesswoman and I’ve finally achieved my dream of being a beauty queen.  World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? Just keep on smiling and be confident. Enjoy the moment. World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? My edge over the other candidates is being strong and resilient, I am the type of person who does not compete with anybody because I believe  that I am my own fiercest competitor. I am a collaborator and it is through collaboration that we meet the goals and ideals of where ever we are,  be it in  corporate or home, or in life in general. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. I was shocked because even my husband was telling me that my performance in the local pageant was much better.  World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? Being a Beauty Queen means being a role model to the women and the youth.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? This is my first time to compete and it made me stronger and resilient.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? It made me be the best version of myself  World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? It feels great to be able to inspire women and young girls to just be themselves and to always remember that magic happens outside of our comfort zone.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Be conscious of your posture and don’t slouch. Take pasarela classes and outside of training, make sure you are applying what you’ve learned.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? It should be something that you’re comfortable with and that you can walk with ease and grace. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? Just speak from the heart and share your thoughts.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I asked help and training from the experts in the pageant industry. My focus was just on myself and on the crown and I trained for both local and international pageant. As my talent for the local pageant was aerial silk and it would be impossible to do that on the international pageant, I took art classes and dance classes to prepare for the talent portion. In the end I chose dancing as my talent. I had pasarela training with Caloy Buendia and Q and A sessions with Jonathan Wong.  I also took up Pilates to improve my posture and rhumba classes to help with my pasarela.  World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? On the day of the grand coronation night,I had dysmenorrhea, migraine and diarrhea and so I was not myself and my confidence went down. I was so nervous and I forgot to just enjoy the moment and give my best. My pasarela walk was not the best since I was too scared blood might pour out of me but on hindsight I shouldn’t have let that bother me and I should have just walked with confidence. I should have just given it my all and enjoyed every minute of it. World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? Focusing on other candidates instead of focusing on oneself because your fiercest competitor is yourself. World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? None  World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen? To continue to inspire and empower married women that it’s never too late to go out there and fulfill their dreams.  World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I would like to be remembered as a loving wife, a dutiful mother and daughter, a caring friend and colleague, most of all a woman with a heart of living a life well lived for others, serving the needs of humanity towards others.
