Dislikes: I don’t like mustard, pickles, don’t like when people smoke near me, we all know that smoking is dangerous to your health and Cigarette smoking causes environmental pollution by releasing toxic air pollutants into the atmosphere.

World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
The first ever Filipina won Little Miss Earth USA. I am Crystal Saphire I was born and raise in the Philippines Northern part of Mindanao province of Misamis Occidental we live in the beautiful town “Sapang Dalaga” I attended Kindergarten, preschool, and first Grade in Sapang Dalaga Elementary School and later migrated in the United States live in Charleston West Virginia, I am currently studying in elementary School, I maintain to have straight A’s and stay active in school, community activities.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? Women empowerment To me it’s being able to finding your strength, having the courage to express it and the boldness to embrace who you are what you are and where you come from.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. This is my first time entered the Little Miss Earth USA competition, but not the first time i have participated in a beauty pageants. I start competing in pageant in the age of 3 I join several beauty pageant in the Philippines, when we move here in the U.S I continue joining pageants.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do pageant?
My Inspiration is my family, relatives and friends, and the children in the Philippines I grow up seeing and experiencing the life they have there it’s a simple life but yet full of dreams. I want to inspire them that dreams do come true in the right time in the right place. When we moved to U.S. I joined local and states pageants and started collecting crowns because I remember when I join pageant in the Philippines the event organizer have to rent crowns for awards. After the pageant the winners had to return the crowns to the event organizer, buying real crowns is very expensive there and I said to myself one day when I come visit my hometown in the Philippines I want to be able to donate crowns and have a a free pageant there, in that case they don’t have to rent crowns and the winning Queen can keep there crowns and treasure it.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I choose to compete in little Miss Earth USA because Its a lot of fun and it's a good experience. For me I always believed that being in a pageant is not about beauty It's more about service to the community, it’s about being a role model and making a big difference. It's not the crown you wear but the difference you make while your wearing the crown. I loved meeting people from all around the United States, who I would normally not have an opportunity to meet and I loved how welcoming everybody was to our family no matter what our backgrounds and cultures.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? The MISS EARTH USA Pageant is an International Environmental Event channeling the beauty pageant entertainment industry as an effective tool to promote environmental awareness,we Are beauty for a cause.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
I was judged in the community service, opening introduction interview, Fun fashion, and Gown.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
Little Miss Earth prides itself on being inclusive, it treats it's contestants with courtesy. Valuing each contestant based on their individual strengths and the idea that in a young age, it is not barrier to make their voices be heard as a young protectors of our Earth.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for?
My Platform says “SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT Save our Earth”. I believe that we as individuals are dependent on our nature. In short nature is our life. My Aim is to share awareness with all the young children about the ESSENCE of ENVIRONMENT to humanity and be one of the “ENVIRONMENTAL SOLDIERS” to save our Earth. Let’s all apply the 3rs of environmental reduce, reuse, recycle. Always Remember that all living things including humans are all beneficiary of nature. Nature has a 4 Elements “Water, Air, Fire and Land” which means all are in balance to this Planet. If one element will destroy there are no replacement to this. Through my advocacy I will start my awareness at home, at school and to the entire country so that all young children can gain knowledge about our nature and it's time to spread the awareness. We need to remember that WE ARE THE ONE WHO WILL PROTECT AND RESTORE THE BEAUTY OF OUR NATURE!

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
My first day and first appearance as Little Miss Earth USA was a public tour at Washington D.C to see the White House, Vietnam Memorial Wall, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, United Nations, and Philippines Embassy. Also I join West Virginia State Capitol joyful night and witness the lighting of the tree ceremony. I had a chance to talk to Governor Jim Justice of West Virginia and the First Lady, and be able to visit the Office of Secretary.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
All my achievements have been mental, emotional, spiritual and fulfilling the support of my family and friends all over the world.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? Walk with your heart show the judges that you are deserving, show that you have the passion and you have heart.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? Personality, grace confident and having a kind sweet smile.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. It was tears of joy an overwhelming feeling of disbelief, so many questions ran through my mind at that time. Like what do I do now, will the crown fit, did I really win? I’m so Happy.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? To be a Beauty Queen you need to have a heart, a passion about your movement, personal style or behavior. You have to have a kind spirit, the way you treat other people, the way you think about, and the way to speak to others. You have to be a role model.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? It allowed me to make a difference in peoples lives. I’ve met people from around the world and made some amazing friendships that I wouldn’t necessarily have met if I didn’t start competing in pageants. I am so blessed that I have my parents always at my side to support me with my dreams and ambitions.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? Pageants for me is a passion. It is part of who we are and how we make a difference in our community. I ran across copies of the trademarks for our three pageant systems Miss BBQ Pageant System, Miss Circle City Pageants or Miss Wiregrass Pageant and it reminded me why we do what we do. So, to all of you that have been a part of our programs or are thinking of becoming part of it, we are so grateful for the opportunity to know you and to help you reach your goals. Our hearts and our doors are always open to each of you. We have invested in the future of our programs by going through the proper channels and legally trademarking our names. This protects our queens, ourselves, and the programs we have worked to build from being confused with other programs or systems. There may always be those that infringe on our names accidentally or intentionally, but rest assured the only real Miss BBQ Pageant System, Miss Circle City Pageants or Miss Wiregrass Pageants are properly trademarked, ran under our, the real beauty comes from within.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?It makes me so happy, I will do my very best to my ability to continue to do good work and continue to inspire young kids. Because for me inspiring other people is what inspires me, if I can help one person achieve their goal, then I know I’ve done my job as a Queen.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning a pageant walk ? Know where to start and always have a good smile and posture. Have your own signature walk, feel confident be yourself.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
Pick a dress that make you stand out among all contestants, you must be able to walk comfortably in it.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? Just remember about all the good things you do and be yourself.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? I was told that I was so fast, if I can take back time and fix it, I will not be so fast.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? Contest don’t smile. Make sure you have a big smile and have fun.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2018 as a Queen? As an environmental Queen I will continue to promote my cause. I have a list of event appearances. I have upcoming environmental clean up “SAVE OUR NATURE Save our Earth ” I do believe that all big things start with small things I want to be able to do activities regarding to our nature such as “Waste management”, “Tree planting” “Clean-up drive” and Coastal Cleaning operation” and “Water conservation” And be able to share about air and land and water pollution to all young children.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
True beauty comes from within, just keep on dreaming. Dream what you want to dream go where you want to be because we only have one life and and one chance to do it all.
