World Class Beauty Queens:  Congratulations Corrin on winning Miss Earth United States 2016 title.  Please tell us about yourself.

I am a horseback rider, and a fitness enthusiast. I love my family, and enjoy reading a good book. I am a Christian, and my faith is very important to me.

World Class Beauty Queens:  You are from a small horse farm in New York, how did winning the title changed your life?

Winning the title did not change my life, but rather added to it. I am still the old me. I still clean the barn, groom, and ride the horses, I still make ample time for the ones I hold dear. I now just have the honor of representing my country, and being a voice for positive change.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What is your educational background?

I graduated from Chittenango High School with honors, and now I am studying at SUNY Oswego majoring in Communication and Social interaction with a minor in Psychology and Health Science. On top of this I am getting certified in personal training, and hope to one day get certified in corrective training, and nutrition.

World Class Beauty Queens:  To those readers that are unfamiliar with Miss Earth United States please tell us about the pageant?

Miss Earth United States is one of the 3 largest titles you can hold in America along with Miss World America and Miss USA. It is the “go green” pageant. Conservation, and sustainability are big topics when it comes to the title of Miss Earth United States. You compete in personal interview, public speaking, evening gown, bathing suit, runway, multimedia challenge, environmental video production, miss photogenic, and on stage question. You must have a love for people, and our planet to win the title of Miss Earth United States.

World Class Beauty Queens:  Tell us about your pageant history.

I was Miss New York Teen USA 2014, Miss Missouri World 2015, Miss New York Earth United States 2016 and now I hold the title of Miss Earth United States.

World Class Beauty Queens:  Tell us about your experience during Miss Earth competition in the Philippines.

Competing for Miss Earth in the Philippines was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I traveled the country and saw multiple beautiful Philippine islands, and made amazing friends along the way.

World Class Beauty Queens:  Did you had a gown sponsor for Miss Earth competition?

Yes, my gown sponsor was MacDuggal

World Class Beauty Queens: Miss Earth United States has its own platform, what programs are you involved in?

I am involved in SADD as an ambassador and speaker for Students Against Destructive Decisions, I’m involved with Onondaga Lake Clean up, I am a mentor for a young girls group called “Girls with Crowns” where we help young girls find their identity and value in Christ.

World Class Beauty Queens:  If I was a judge and asked you “What plan of action would you take to combat climate change”.  What would be your answer?

Education is the key to combatting Climate Change. The more individuals who know about the problem, the more aid there will be to the cause. We need to start a chain reaction for change. One person can make a small difference, but an army of Earth Warriors can make a major impact.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What is your personal platform?

Water Conservation, and keeping our bodies of water clean.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell is about your upcoming trip with World Missions Outreach to Nicaragua.

I leave for Nicaragua in March, and I will be traveling with a group of other title holders. I will give the commencement address at their graduation, and I will be volunteering my time to hopefully bring joy to their lives, smiles to their faces, and love to their hearts.

World Class Beauty Queens:  You are the winner of Miss Earth United States, please tell us what was the most difficult part of the competition for you?

I had a very relaxed experience at MEUS. The directors organized the pageant so well that it was completely stress free. I was able to just be myself, and make amazing friends!

World Class Beauty Queens:  What is your biggest achievement as Miss Earth United States so far?

My biggest achievement as Miss Earth United States so far would be going through a month long competition in the Philippines, and placing in the elite eight at Miss Earth. Making amazing friends and connections all across the world, and inspiring other young women to follow their dreams and accomplish their goals.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What did you do to prepare for swimsuit competition?

I worked out at the gym for an hour a day, and included another hour of high intensity workouts from home. I was dedicated to eating healthy, supplying my body with the nutrients it needed, and sticking to my programming at the gym to sculpt my body for the bathing suit round.

World Class Beauty Queens:  Tell us about your evening gown?

My evening gown was a blush pink, silk jersey with a long train and center thigh high split. It had a high crystal detailed neck, and It had lace see through sides. It was designed by MacDuggal, and he made a brilliant design that was the perfect combination of sexy and elegance. Definitely a statement gown. I love it! When thinking about what I wanted my evening gown to be, two words continued to pop into my head: Sexy Elegance. I wanted something form fitting to show off my curves, but I also wanted something with a high neckline that would bring the attention to my face.  I wanted a color that complimented my lightly tanned skin, and that didn’t wash out on stage. I asked for a long train, and a little glitz and glam. MacDuggal NEVER disappoints.

World Class Beauty Queens:  What was your onstage strategy to win the judges over?

My onstage strategy is always eye contact with the judges. Don’t scan the judges over and over, look into their soul one at a time.

World Class Beauty Queens:  During Miss Earth United States competition you are seconds away from hearing the winners name.  You are standing next to a girl that could take the title away from you.  What were you thinking in that moment?

When I was standing in the final two with Mae-Ann Webb at Miss Earth United States I couldn’t help but think of how happy I was for how far I had come. All of the work I had put into the pageant was finally paying off. I knew that if the title was meant for me , that it wouldn’t pass me by. I looked at Mae-Ann and said “God is good.” and she looked back at me, and replied “All the time.” I knew in that moment that whoever won the title would bring glory to God, and although I was hoping it was me, I was comfortable with whatever the outcome would be. When my name was called the first thing I did was point up, and give the credit where the credit was due. God has truly blessed me with this life that I live, and with the title of Miss Earth United States, and I could not be more thankful.

World Class Beauty Queens:  We want to hear in your own words how did it feel to hear your name as the winner of Miss Earth United States?

Winning the title of MEUS was a huge moment for me. If I could choose one word to describe how I felt, and still feel for this title it would be: blessed.

World Class Beauty Queens:  During the crowning how did it feel when the crown touched your head?

Well, the Crown fell over my head onto my neck, and my crowing moment became a social media sensation because of my small head, and my tight dress, but when they finally could fit the crown on my head I felt like a true queen. Excited to begin my journey, and follow where God leads me.

World Class Beauty Queens:  Why should every girl do pageants?

All girls should at least try pageantry and step out of their box, because you learn so many useful life skills through competing in a pageant. You learn how to interview, you learn how to make and entrance, you gain confidence, and raise self esteem, you make amazing friends, and gain great life experience!

World Class Beauty Queens:  What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I want to leave behind a legacy of compassion, and love. I want to touch as many individual’s lives along my journey of life as possible. I want to shine a light on the truth, and be a disciple of God. My goal is to leave a little piece of my heart behind in all the people I meet along the way. That will be my legacy.
