World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Please tell us about yourself.

I was born in Romania, Europe and moved in Canada when I was 5 years old. I am a 17-year-old High School student in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. I am part of the City Ministry Team where I am student leader. I volunteered at the Dream Center where I worked with young children. After I graduate High School, I hope to go to McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, for becoming an orthopedic.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Please tell us about your education.

From grade 7, I’m a student at Niagara Christian Collegiate. I am in the Arts Council, Yearbook Committee, Prom Committee, and Drama Club.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does women Empowerment means to you?

Women that are fearless, confident in themselves, and unafraid to take on challenges are empowered women in my opinion. These women can speak up, make their own decisions, and decide what kind of life they want to live.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your pageant history.

I began my pageant journey in 2018 as the youngest and most timid girl, but with the support of the other girls and because of the strong bond amongst sisters, I was able to continue. I won Miss Teen Niagara Region Globe 2018 in the regional competition, and I won MCGP Young Canadian Achiever 2018/19 in the national competition. I participated as Miss Tourism Petite Teen Intercontinental in the Dominican Republic in 2019 since I had won one of the national titles, and the thrill for me was that I had earned the crown. I was appointed as Miss Teen Canada Globe 2021/22 in 2022. I competed in the Miss Teen Universe Pageant in Nicaragua in 2022 as Canada's representative.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

I was motivated to enter my first pageant by my mom. I've loved watching Miss Universe for the past few years—really, my entire life—so when my mom came across an internet advertisement, I joined up right away.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

The girl who won the title for the current year was unable to fulfil her contract, so I was chosen as Miss Teen Canada Globe 2021/22 in her place. After winning internationally back in 2019 and finishing my reign, I volunteered every year at Miss Canada Globe Productions to assist girls in preparing for their competition to win the crown. Our Pageant Director chose me as Miss Teen Canada Globe 2021/22 as a result of my dedication.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

Although many people believe so, pageants are not solely dependent on attractiveness. Of course, physical attractiveness plays a role, but the main emphasis of the pageant is on how you really are on the inside. Miss Canada Globe Productions selects its Queens based on what they have to say, how they say it, and how it is used in real-world situations.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What makes your director different from others?

The Miss Canada Globe pageant's director, Mias Pilar Alcantara, is a fearless and loving person. She thinks that giving women the chance to thrive in fashion and develop their varied talents, in her opinion, will empower them. She is one of the industry's top leaders who goes over the top to give girls a voice in fashion and life.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are you being judged on during the competition?

We were evaluated during the entire pageant on our stage presence, confidence, and interactions and daily behaviors. Swimsuit and evening gown are the two additional competition categories.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

For me, it had been a wonderful experience! I got to connect with and meet some incredible women. I became significantly more confident and valued for who I am. People can't create views about you based on common assumptions because they don't know you at all. I had a great time and was free to be who I am. I didn't have any plans when I went there. I only hoped to embrace each moment and learn from all of this, and I succeeded in doing this.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Who would you recommend your system to?

I endorse everyone who has the capability to show themselves stylishly and with a positive mindset, including girls, women, even men. Being in a beauty pageant you have excellent prospects to break into the fashion sector as a model.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

My platform is Sick Kids because this organization is significant to me as there are so many kids that require care. I was motivated to make this my platform after seeing the hospital and the kids on television. The idea of youngsters in hospitals who are suffering from illnesses and are unable to play or do anything else breaks my heart. Children should be able to play with their families and friends and be unrestricted, healthy, and free.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What appearances have you done with your title?

I've had a few appearances thus far with my title. One of my appearances was at the Aids Walk Toronto where I met the Toronto mayor. I participated in Terry Fox Runs same in Toronto where I walked with my pageant sisters which was so amazing to see them again. I have had some appearances in my community as well.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are some of your achievements?

My ability to begin my modelling profession should be considered one of my greatest achievements.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

I keep striving to be sincere and true to myself, and my own skills and principles help me to emerge in my own special manner. Each stunning girl shines out in her own unique manner, so I'm honored that I joined all those lovely girls!

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

I was astonished and delighted at the same time, and that is a moment I will never forget. When my name was called, I remained there still and stunned for a short while before going over to be crowned. I was overjoyed since my loved ones have supported me throughout this journey from the very beginning, and I'm so grateful for it.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

A beauty queen is courteous, pleasant, and giving. In order to assist people and improve the world around her, she makes use of her skills, talents, and time. In addition to being disciplined and smart, she works hard to set and accomplish her goals.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

I have evolved as a person since I entered my first pageant and up to the present. It was difficult for me to speak to people when I was younger since I was such a shy and quiet child. Speaking in front of a crowd was especially difficult for me. I've learned how to interact with people and overcome my fear of public speaking thanks to competing in pageants.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did pageants helped your self-esteem and body image?

Through our trainings and participation in pageants, we improved our self-esteem and confidence. We discovered that we are more skilled than we believed.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

It feels really good! The fact that people are now actually looking at me, applauding me, and sharing their excitement in me has been surprising, and I enjoy it. I have always looked up to others. I would consider it a tremendous success if I could even influence just one young girl's life.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What is your on-stage strategy to win the judges over?

My on-stage strategy to win the judges over is to simply be myself, to show confidence and to express myself. On stage, I think it definitely shows if I try to be someone I'm not.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: How did you prepare for your competition?

I spent a lot of time practicing both on-stage and Q&A with my coach.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

Practice! Practice! & Practice! Consult a pageant coach, watch video tutorials, record your performance, and observe your own walk, and practice again!

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

I advise going out and trying on various colors and styles. You can decide what suits you the most. It's better to just try everything because everything looks so different in person and on you.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your tips for winning interview?

You must practice. Preferably get someone to ask you questions every day. Practice all the questions you find online until you feel confident in your ability to respond to questions. Ask your coach to help you as well.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

One mistake that I’ve done it was that I didn’t prepare myself in the best way.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

I really do not focus to other girls' mistakes, but I believe that simply the stress can make you do mistakes.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: Any modeling or acting experience?

For the past 4 years, I have been modelling in order to improve my modelling career. I have participated in couple photoshoots. One of my passions is modelling. In the future I hope I will start my acting career as well.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What are your plans for 2022 as a Queen?

In addition, I want to keep contributing to my community and working on my own improvement in order to get ready for my future competition at Miss Universe Canada. I hope preparing very well it will help me to win the crown and afterwards to compete for Miss Universe.

World Class Beauty Queens Magazine: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I want to be known as a person who could put others' needs ahead of their own. I also wanted to be someone who was cool with failing occasionally because it just meant I was moving in the right direction. Someone who is brave, passionate, and an enjoyable person to be with.
