World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? Women empowerment means to me women supporting women, being each other’s cheerleaders. Empowering each other is fundamental to our growth. We must build each other up in order to continue to achieve greatness. It can be achieved by mentoring each other, cheering each other on, or even simple compliments of one another.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. My first pageant was at the age of eleven without much preparation or experience, I proudly placed first runner up. Since then became enthusiastic of continuing my pageantry journey.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? I was inspired to do my first pageant because i watched the elegance and poise contestants carried themselves with and hoped to one day achieve that and inspire others.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I competed for my current title because I wanted to inspire young Latina women and to show others how rich our Latino culture is.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? Miss U.S. Latina is the first competition to be established exclusively for Latinas in the USA. It is the largest Latina pageant system in the country and since 1983, continues to be the only national preliminary to select the official representative from the US to Miss Latin America of the World, known worldwide as Miss America Latina del Mundo.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? During the state competition contestants are judged on interview, heritage dress and evening gown. The same categories carry over to the national competition with the addition of fashion wear.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. My experience during the competition was amazing! I built everlasting memories with extraordinary young women that I will be able to look back on and can use to push me to do and be more.

My biggest achievements so far have been being a member of the National Junior Honor Society, making the JV cheer team as a freshman, winning championship with my varsity soccer team, being booked with a talent agency and doing commercials for Publix and Universal Studios.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? Being genuine, unique and passionate with what I do is what makes me stand out.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was call as the winner? I was in shock because out of all of the talented and beautiful girls in the competition they chose me and at the same time I was extremely thankful I was given the opportunity.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? To be a Beauty queen means being a role model and an inspiration to others.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? Competing in pageants has changed my life in many ways. They have increased my confidence and self awareness. I can always look back at these experiences and use them in my future career.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? Pageants have taught me to believe and to love myself no matter what and to be self conscious about having a healthy lifestyle.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? It is an honor to be an inspiration for others and it feels amazing that I can somehow help someone make their dream come true.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? I believe genuine honesty is the best way to win anyone over including the judges.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I prepared by practicing my posture and rehearsing my walk but more important I prepared mentally by reading books on self awareness and confidence.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? First, it is very important to use heels that fits you perfectly and you feel comfortable walking with. Also looking at yourself in a mirror and recording yourself it helps you to notice what needs to be fix. Pracfice everyday at all times. Finally, once you are on stage be yourself, have fun and own the runway.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? Always choose the dress that you fall in love with, choosing a color that goes with your skin tone and personality and at the same time a dress that is age appropriate.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? My most important tip is to be yourself, judges can see the difference between a rehearsed and a genuine answer. Show your personality, what you say in your interviews should be a reflection on who YOU are.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? Getting very nervous in an interview and as a result expressed lock of confidence was a mistake that I wish I could redo and fix it.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? I feel girls, myself included, can at times let nerves get the best of them. I think breathing exercises and ensuring you feel prepared are great for avoiding mistakes in pageants.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? I do fashion shows and photo-shoots for local designers and photographers. I have done commercials for Publix, Universal Studios and others.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen? I plan to use my reign as Miss Teen Florida Latina to promote others to serve within our community, to inspire and help girls that wish to be part of our organization or any pageant.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? I would love to leave a legacy behind where people remember how I made them feel and not what I gave them or did for them. I believe if you truly connect with someone and touch their soul, you will be unforgettable to them.
