My life motto: “Do not set yourself on fire to keep others warm. The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. Good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant. The way to be happy in life is a constant change in life, only you can change your life, no one else will do it for you.” life is too short, do things that makes you feel happy, never ever regret anything in life”. I was born and bought up in Ahmedabad, India. In middle class family of 6 inclusive myself. I came to UK as a student to complete my Master of Civil Engineering Specialised in Coastal Management (Water resources Management). After completed my degree in uk I have obtained the work permit before making UK as a permanent home. I am in first female in my whole family that entered in engineering not only for that, but I became a first person in my family who came to UK and settled myself independently to set example for other girls in my family and friends. I am happily married with two kids, daughter 10 years old and son 4 years old respectively. As a profession I am working as a full-time project Quantity Surveyor (Civil Engineering surveyor) in highways Transport of London Projects, I am dealing more than 100 projects a year that challenging work for me with full filling my duty as a mother of two. I am very independent, hardworking, friendly and full of talented women. I have always strong belief myself and follow my heart for making any decision in my life. I believe there is nothing a woman can’t do it. I have long list of things that I like to do in my life some of them are as follows: I am very adventurous by nature a book worm, music and dancing are one of my weaknesses. Travelling is something we all need to refresh our mind, body and soul. To keep myself fit, I do swimming, running, treadmill and occasionally playing badminton whenever I get chance. I have won so many competitions like Garba (Gujarat traditional dance), Traditional Rajasthani Folk Dance and also completed Chandrakhani trekking on national level. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
Women empowerment means emancipation of women from the vicious grips of social, economical, political, caste and gender-based discrimination. It means granting women the freedom to make life choices. A woman is being with senses, imagination and thoughts. She is able express them freely. Individual empowerment means to have self-confidence about them self. Self-care. Social empowerment of women is the promotion of gender equality, gender equality means in which women and men enjoy the same opportunities. Rights are same for both gender. Empowering women with knowledge, skills and self-confidence necessary to participate fully in the development process. It means making women aware of their rights and developing confidence to claim them. Women empowerment means women settle by themselves and fully independent financially. In India still dowry system going on, child marriage, child abuse lots of problem occurs. Women empowerment means stop dowry system, stop bulling girls, stop raped girls, stop girls abuse completely. Why women must change their surname after married in Indian culture. Indian husband thinks that after married women is his property, he is taking her money because he thinks that he bought this women after marriage. This all need to be stop and women give freedom that called women empowerment.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
I was participating the pageant called Mrs Asia UK 2018. We were judged on 8 to 10 different categories. Each week challenges need to finish on time, Talent Round, Photoshoot, select one topic and do presentation in front of everyone present, Question and answer round. we were also judged thoroughly based on how we interacted with another contestant and help to each other. How well we presented ourselves etc.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
As I mentioned earlier that I came from men industry for my professional career. I am civil engineer and doing all time engineering job, walking on the site, measurement, quantification, dealing all different projects like road, water, construction industry projects. I always dream that need to do something for myself, something that makes me happy and proud myself and proud of my family too. One day I seen advertisement for audition regarding Mrs Asia UK beauty contest. I thought why I should not applied and see my skilled. I am lucky have been selected for audition and successfully completed that pageant. You don’t need to create limitation for you. you need to see your talent just expand for yourself that I truly believe.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I chose to complete for competition Mrs Asia UK international 2018. The reason for choosing that I want to show the world that once women think that something and dreams, no one can stop her from their dreams if you are positive about yourself and believe yourself. I need to setup some kind of example for other women that doesn’t matter where you belong to, what’s your skin colour, what’s your professional, real beauty comes from internally.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us
what is it about?
I just advice the people that don’t think you are married and you don’t participate such event like beauty events because you are mom, your shape is not perfect, your skin tone is not perfect, your smile is not perfect. This is good platform for all married women, divorced women that they all are beautifully internally, externally doesn’t stop to achieve your dream because of your married title. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
We were judged on 8 to 10 different categories. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
I was really enjoying during the competition. I was not think about winning myself. I always positive attitude towards each task, even tried to help my co contestant when they need my help. I was so positive and confidence during the competition and learn lots of new thing, like Ramp walk, posturing, dressing style etc. and one good thing that making good friends during this amazing journey.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I have been invited so many volunteers service like come and visited the people and explain about my journey regarding Mrs Asia UK international. Special events like women empowerment, social event, charity event, ladies in all nation. I also awarded by Women appreciating women award (WAW) founder by DR Pauline long.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
I have been invited for few volunteer event, Christmas event as a speaker hosted and explain about my journey regarding Mrs Asia UK international. It was really nice experience as a hosted. fun night too. So many people are not aware about this Mrs competition and little knowledge help to other women who need to be fulfilled their dreams after marriage.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? My achievements like I am successful Civil engineer and working one of the top projects in UK TFL projects. Other achievement like so many awards in dance competition in state level, and I am proudly said that won title of Mrs Asia UK international classic north 2018. this all makes me so proud for myself and my family too.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on-stage strategy to win the judges over?
I am very confidence, natural not pretending, talented, positive energy with smile made me on stage to win the Judges heart.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
For me I think my positive attitude and humbleness makes me stand out from all other beautiful girls. As per I mentioned before that Beauty is not comes for only outer beauty -beautiful skin, smile but inner beauty is makes you more beautiful and shine that make me stand out from all other beautiful girls.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the
winner.
I didn’t have enough word to explain about this when they called out my name as a winner. I was top of the world; flying on a sky and think like I am princess for some fantasy town. It’s unbelievable and one of the best and precise moment for me in my whole life.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
As a winner title holder not only stop you up to here. You need to do so many things after a title of Beauty queen. You need to be establish yourself as a role model to do some volunteer works, help the kids to achieve their dreams, title. Spread the knowledge worldwide that beauty is not only outer beauty, its comes within yourself internally , your humbleness, your attitude towards the other people. Beauty queen is not a queen for herself being a queen is a role of service, so many people look up to you.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
Its build up my confidence, personality and out of my fear from public appearance. I am personally so shy type of character and this pageant help me to get out from shyness and showing my positive side to the world.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your self-esteem and body image?
Pageants help me learn that I don’t need to be perfect smile, perfect body, perfect skin tone, or perfect personality for myself. It’s much more internal beauty are more important than outer looks.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It’s wonderful and amazing feeling for myself. I am speechless how I feel amazing and proud now when I gave interview with such a popular and amazing WORLD Class Beauty Queen Magazine right now. it’s wonderful and motivation feeling for myself as a role model to others.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
I advised to people that practicing your walk while wearing 5-6-inch heels to get more comfortable as you will be stand and walk on the ramp. just walk as normal as you walk and be just careful about posturing with those high heels.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
First, look yourself in mirror and know about your body type and do some research, attend some seminar like fashion seminar and decide dress accordingly your body type and wear dress you feel comfortable and suits you.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
For me confidence and positive attitude makes an important role for winning any type of interview in your life. Just believe yourself and it works magically in your life to achieve any dreams.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I had practicing lots regarding my walk, posturing when I was walking etc. and did hard work to do practice and give my 100% for talent round and question answering.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
I don’t say its mistake, but I can do more effort on introduction speech If I wish redo for this pageant.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
All of them did amazing job and performance in final. But few of contestant were feel nervous themselves on stage. Few of them did mistake on talent round not practicing much. But overall, they all did amazing performance on final stage on pageant.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modelling or acting experience?
Unfortunately, I didn’t have any experience for modelling or acting except Pageant experience. But I will grab this opportunity if I will receive any offer as a model or acting in future.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?
My plan for 2019 to participate the world class “Mrs international Pageants” will happen to China or Malaysia this year. also need to give speech in some of the events like women empowerment, women’s day event, involving some charity event etc.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
Leaving a legacy is an important part of your life work. A legacy develops from a life dedicated to self-reflection and purpose. What will be revealed and what will endure is a truthful and value driven body of living. Support the people and causes that are important to me. Reflect and decide what is most important in my life. Share my blessings with others. I always be mentor to others. Pursue my passions because they are infectious.
