World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.

I was born in Russia and, My family and I moved to Israel when I was eight years old, I first met my husband, Oleg, when we both were in 4th grade. When I was eighteen, I’ve Enlisted to the IDF in a combat support unit, I’ve spent 3 years serving in the IDF, I met a lot of new and interesting people from all over the country and had significant time in the Israeli Army. Right before the army service, the friendship with Oleg became romantic, three years later we got married. One year later, our baby girl was born, her name is Karoline,  she’s 4 years old and she’s already spending time with gymnastics, her dream is to be a gymnastics coach.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? The way I see things, there is no longer a real difference between men and women, I got this feeling in the IDF, when i was serving among amazing men and women, and I saw it with my own eyes - women can do anything, to be a fighter or even a combat pilot, that made me feel very empowered. I also believe that every woman needs to take the time to do things she likes and make her happy, that’s the key for mental well being and happy family.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. This year was the first pageant I ever attended, we were 4 girls from Israel and I was very surprised and humbled to win the 2nd place in my first pageant, 35 countries were part of this competition and it was great, One of the Pageant’s Purposes is to fight for the rights of children and women around the world and to encourage and participate in charity, I was so happy to participate in this competition because I can really relate to these purposes.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

Ever since I was a little girl, I loved performing in my living room for my family and watch pageant shows on TV. I always thought that maybe I wasn’t good enough, beautiful enough or talented enough, that’s why I wanted to prove to myself that I can make it and inspire women and mothers all around the world to not give up and chase their dreams.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

The Purposes for Elite Beauty Queens pageant are to fight for women's and children’s rights and also raise awareness against violence against children and women.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

The whole competition was five days, we (the participants) didn’t know who judged us and exactly over what. We later learned that we were being judged by “undercover” judges that watched our every move up-close and were with us the whole time. We were also judged for our total looks including costumes, hair and makeup, talents and social behavior between everyone. World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. Even though the whole pageant was five days, we really experienced a lot, and it was amazing, first of all, Latvia - the hosting country, was really beautiful and great. The pageant's crew was very helpful and respectful to the girls and I’ve even made some new friends. I really want to go back to Latvia with my family and let them experience this amazing place the way I’ve experienced it.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. For several years, after the IDF service, I’ve volunteered in the local police, it was a very fulfilling experience for me. Today i really want to volunteer for a project to support the elderly and I also want to volunteer in an animal shelter. World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? I was very welcomed by everyone in Israel, I had some interviews with the local media and I was also invited to meet my city’s Mayor, I’m very happy for these opportunities.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

I was very honored to represent Israel alongside 3 beautiful girls in that competition, I'm also really proud of my amazing family and my husband who supports me throughout these amazing experiences. My biggest achievement is to know that I can be a role model for mothers and older girls whoever believed they can incorporate between family life and their dreams.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

My strategy was to basically follow the pageant's rules and trying to be as friendly and helpful as I can to my friends in this competition, I do believe that even in a competition, we can help each other. For most of us the girls, the experience matters the most.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

Every single girl in this competition is stunningly beautiful and talented. I feel I’ve learned these pageants from the outside and really thought of representing something greater than myself, my family and my country.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

It took some time for me to actually understand that my name was announced, I was so proud and speechless. It was my very first time in a beauty pageant and I got very emotional and happy. It was only the morning after the winning that I’ve really believed it wasn’t a dream and I really won!

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

I feel like I’m representing more than just myself, I think that it really adds to my confidence, and the way I look at myself, I also feel like I have the power to raise awareness for the things I care about, and also fight for girls and women’s rights. The way I look at things, that’s the true meaning of women empowerment. The sky's the limit.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

It was only when I got into the pageant room the first night and I was surrounded by dozens of amazing looking girls, it was very frightening but very inspiring, beauty comes in many shapes, sizes and ages and or me, every single woman in the world is beautiful in her own way.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

My tip is to be in the moment, “The show must go on” as they say. We are human after all and not always everything goes as planned, you need to don’t stop smiling and just keep going on.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

There are millions of dresses in the world, the key is to choose the one that gives the “wow” effect while staying classic and match your own body shape. Not every dress looks right on every girl, just spend the time to find the right one for you, I also want to encourage girls to show their own country in what they wear, choosing local designers and outfits.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

Look at the camera and smile, don’t think forever on every question, be yourself and say things that are important for you to say.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

In one of the pageant's nights, while walking on the runway. One of my heels was sliding from my feet, so I've struggled with it for a bit instead of  walking. On retrospective, I feel like It was best to play it cool and take off the other heel. The show really must go on.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

Time Management is crucial, It’s a competition after all. Don’t take your time and really pay attention to the time you have.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

I’ve never modeled before,  it was a really nice experience for me, I really look forward to doing this kind of things professionally.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?

One of my personal goals is to bring an international charity beauty pageant to Israel to show the world our beautiful country while also help those in need.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I think that the first thing I want to leave behind is the feeling that every mother can chase their dream while having a family, those two things can belong together, and when mom happy, the whole family’s happy too!
