World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine has the honor to interview amazing Argentinian fashion designer Maria Pryor.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: When and why did you decide to become a fashion designer?
Never, there was no decision, it was and is an extension of my own being, in fact it is the place where I feel most protected, my atelier, where I`m!
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Where did you study fashion design?
In Buenos Aires "Escuela Argentina de moda", later in Milan "Italia Marangoni", but where I learn more from each day, of observation, of the fragance, of the to do from my hands, of the search, learn from each day
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: What year did you launch your first collection and how did you title it?
De Hadas y Calabaza in 1999 was the first, (inspired by the Cinderella`s story) a runway that made me feel like a goodbye to my father.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Where was your first presentation as "Maria Pryor" trademark?
At the Renault museum, together with 3 other designers, in 1998, my first show.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: During your career you have released many collections, do you have a favorite? Which one and why?
I have many, The first De Hadas y Calabazas, (was so special), in 2010 Oby! Presented as a competition project in Chancery. It was presented at New York Fashion Week, Mis damas Blancas, which a year later was sold to New York!
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: What are your favorite fabrics to work with?
I admit to having a preference for natural materials, natural silk tulle, satin velvet organza, I feel that only by naming them do they remit something more eternal and fantastic, but as a lover of the contradictory I love and used metal and leathers. I always experiment.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Which fashion shows have you showcased in Argentina.
In my Argentna, almost always, during Argentina Fashion Week. I don't present in too many events, only one or two collections a year.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: And abroad?
They were several! Some that are worthy to mention is 2002 Miami Fashion Week, 2008 in Moscow, 2010 New York, 2012 Paris
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: We know that you received many national and international awards, one of them the Best Fashion Show Award during Miami Fashion Week (2002), delivered by the wonderful channel from USA E! Entertainment Television, How was that experience?
Infinite emotion and gratitude! I have no words to describe that moment.... Auch!
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Of all the awards, which was the most special one for you?
Just the one you mentioned before, also golden scissors, which I never expected.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: We know that you have dressed many celebrities, can you mention any of them?
The first one that came to my atelier was Natalia Oreiro, Araceli Gonzales, Florencia Peña Calu Rivero, Paloma Herrera, Chiara Francia y Tini Stoessel.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Which celebrity would you like to dress next?
Alicia Vikander, Lady Gaga , Emma Stone , just mention, I think it has more to do with them choosing you ... and the dress.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Panni Margot (our first issue cover designer) worked as your design apprentice. You must be proud with all his success?
I`m so happy, he is first of all a good person, I feel him doing his way, as he wished, that more success is a long road to travel and at times, very hard.
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: You have recently worked in the production and wardrobe of Heidi Bienvenida a Casa, tell us more about it.
It was like being at a playtime, the characters of Marcela Citteiro (the writer and creator of it) Here teamwork is fundamental, short times, many characters and good after our job!

Nunca, no hubo una decisión... fue y es una prolongación de mi propio ser, de hecho es el lugar donde me siento más protegida , mi taller, donde soy !
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Donde realizò sus estudios de diseño?
En Buenos Aires , Escuela Argentina de moda, más tarde en Milán , Italia Marangoni ..... pero donde más aprendo es de cada dia, de la observación, del perfume , del hacer de mis manos, de la búsqueda, aprender de cada día
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: 3) En que año lanzò su primera colecciòn y como la ha titulado?
De Hadas y Calabaza ,1999 , considero que fue la primera , ( inspirada en el cuento de la Cenicienta) desfile que sentí como un adiós a mi padre !
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Donde fue su primera presentaciòn como "Maria Pryor" marca registrada?

Tengo varias, la primera que es De Hadas y calabazas ( fue muy especial ) en 2010 Oby! Presentada como un proyecto de concurso en Cancilleria, así se presentó en Nueva York fashion Week, Mis Damas Blancas , que un año más tarde se vendió a ese país !
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Cuales son las telas con las que mas le gusta trabajar?
Admito tener una predilección por materiales naturales, tul de seda natural, organza terciopelos satén , siento que solo al nombrarlas remiten algo más eterno y fantasioso, pero como amante de lo contradictorio amo y utilizó metales cueros ( experimento y juego siempre)
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Nos gustaria que nos mencione en que eventos de moda ha sido participe en nuestro paìs.
En mi país, casi siempre , en los Fashion Week, no soy de eventos, fuera de presentar una o dos colecciones al año
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Y en el extrangero?
Fueron varias! Entre ellas las que más considero, 2002 Miami Fashion Week, 2008 en Moscú, 2010 Nueva York, 2012 Paris
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Sabemos que ha recibido varios premios tanto nacionales, como internacionales, uno de ellos el Premio al Mejor Show de Moda en el Miami Fashion Week (2002) entregado por el maravilloso canal de USA E! Entertainment Television, como fue esa experiencia?

Justamente el que usted menciona anteriormente, y la tijera de oro, nunca esperada .

World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Sabemos que el joven Panni Margot ( nuestra primer portada) ha trabajado como Aprendiz de Diseñado con usted, como es verlo ahora ya realizado, y con tanto èxito?
Estoy muy feliz, èl es ante todo una buna gente, lo siento haciendo su camino tal cual lo deseó, que más el éxito es un camino largo a transitar y por momentos muy duro
World Class Argentina Fashion Magazine: Recientemente ha trabajado en la producción y vestuario de Heidi Bienvenida a Casa, cuentenos mas acerca de esto
Fue como estar en un recreo, los personajes de Marcela Citteiro ( la guionista ) y creadora de la misma, Aqui el trabajo en equipo es fundamental, los tiempos cortos , los personajes muchos y bueno después nuestro hacer !
