World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
My name is Ljudmilla Karpikova, 35 Years old, mothers of 6 y.o boy and 2,5 y.o girl. Past few years my career is connected with events & organization. Founder of Womens Club Estonia, one of the team members of Angel Models, also taking part in Prive Club Estonia. Living active social life & always having a creative ideas that I'm trying to implement in life.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
I have participated in Miss is Estonia few years ago and after that me and my team decided to open model agency to organize beauty pageants and motivate women and help their routine.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
At that time I needed to believe in myself again that’s why I participated in my first pageant. I think for women it is important to have a break from routine & feel herself beautiful again. Its like a reboot.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
After a year of organizing the idea came to take part in international pageant myself, in order to see how its all done from inside. My application was approved by Mrs. Europe director & my journey started. I was definitely going with big hopes to Las Palmas but could never expect that I will win.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Mrs. Europe pageant is international ( European) beauty pageant for married women with kids, who are above 25 years old.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
Pageant contains National Costume competition, Talent, Domestic Violence conference & final. You are judge on all those performances plus your every day activities & behavior.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
I had a very pleasant experience as all the women were very talented & and well educated. Among us were doctors, lawyers, psychologist and etc. Ladies were very nice & we got friends with some of them. I should admit, that competition was very high as each and every women deserved to wear a main crown.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
I have created a series of T-shirts with theme prints on then in order to support women suffered from Domestic Violence. It is for sale now and 50% of each t-shirt sold is donated to Estonian women shelter who deals with women in need.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
I have been mentioned in lots of media resources & also made press interview and official photo session for Estonian press. As its only 10 days me holding this title, I believe all the rest is yet to come.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
My biggest achievement in my life is my family & my kids. Then definitely all the projects that I'm leading that inspire and help women to start new life.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
I think my personality and natural beauty. I'm always trying to be who i am & I appreciate and proud of my natural beauty that was given to me by nature. In our world now this is already something that makes you stand out of the crowd.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
This moment words cannot express. I was among last ones without sash and any additional title. So i was already worried. It is either you are not getting anything or you are among first. Then my name was called & tears of happiness started to drop from my eyes. Adrenaline was high & I couldn’t believe i made it. This feeling you get once in a life time definitely, something that will stay with you forever.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
For me it means to present women of Estonia and overall Europe in a good manner & will. To support them through charity projects,educate them through my Women’s Club events & definitely give them opportunity to start new life and makeover through Angel Models Agency project.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
First of all it gave me an amazing people around me, strong and powerful women, that i am now surrounded with and together we can conquer the world. Second is believing and loving myself as for women it is one of the most important aspects.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
It always keeps you fit as you are surrounded with beautiful women that is in a way a role models for you. When you feel good & you do what you love your selfesteem will be at its high.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
Amazing. I will try very hard to be a perfect “role model” for all those girls out there who are dreaming of a crown. And definitely will share some tips about it.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
As I mentioned before just be who you are, you are naturally beautiful & judges will feel it also from the energy that is coming from you & always smile, because smile is the beat jewelry for a woman.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
i think most important is to be ready mentally for the competition & its schedule. Then i prepared choreography for the talent show as it is contained vocal and dancing elements. Then all the dresses and costumes were prepared for the gala, talent and National costume show. Also had some master classes on make up and catwalk.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
if you are new to this world then I definitely suggest to take a professional catwalk classes before the pageant as it is requires a bit different elements from classical catwalk . You have to interact with public, jury. For me it was natural as i have attended modeling school in my youth and then did some modeling.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
For the gala you have to choose dress carefully. First you have to feel that “this is the dress” and it has to fit you perfectly. If you have this thought in your head while trying it then its yours. Also important to choose real evening gowns that would look from the stage festively. I would definitely suggest tulle dresses.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
Self confidence is the key and of course knowledge of a language. Body language is also important when you are presenting yourself & communicating with jury and public.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
Thank god in Mrs. Europe pageant everything went smoothly for me even though sometimes i was worrying that i could say something wrong or fall down.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
We had really professional contestants, all the women were pretty much experienced in pageants. No mistakes were made.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
I have attended modeling school in my youth. Also did ballet & show dance. I can say that i have an experience being on stage.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?
I have a major plans for this and upcoming year with charity projects and also women connected events. At the moment it is in the stage of preparation & when its finalized i will be happy to share it with you.
