World Class Beauty Queens Magazine would like to welcome amazing Queen Jennifer Overpeck Mrs. Alamo City 2019.

Full name: Jennifer Overpeck  Title/Year: Mrs. Alamo City 2019 Pageant System: Bella Rose Age: 36 Zodiac sign: Scorpio Hobbies: Fishing, riding horses, exploring new places

Platform: House Bill 3403 preventing workplace bullying  Years competed: 1 Countries visited: Mexico Likes: exploring new places and not knowing what lies ahead.  Dislikes: peoples behavior  who bully others  Status: Married  World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.

I am a mother of 3 beautiful children who keep me very busy. My youngest son picked up my legacy of being top ten in Texas for equestrian. My oldest son is starting the first years of high school and we could not be more proud of him. Last but not least it little Brooklyn who is 2 years old and runs the house. She keeps all of us busy and on our Toes.

My carrier and degree is in early childhood education. I have been teaching for 10 years now in 4th, kindergarten, and 1st grade. Kindergarten is my absolute favorite because you give the gift of learning writing, reading, and self expression. It’s so rewarding taking a child that has no knowledge of the alphabet and then they graduate kindergarten reading and writing.

I have most recently takin a intest in legislation and law because I was a victim of teacher targeted bullying. I have used this as my platform to give me courage and strength and Pursue my purpose to protect all teachers in the future. I drafted a bill with the help of my best friend Caroline Davis and state rep Philip Cortez. We took the bill to Texas state capital and filed it in the Texas house a public education. Because of the pageants, I gain the courage and strength to testify on my bill in front of the house of public education committee. My bill was voted out unanimously onto the house calendar at the state capital within 24 hours of my testimony.

Because legislation does not start up again till 2020 We are unable to push the bill any further. Being in the Capital and in the court rooms inspired me to Pursue law school at St. Mary’s University in Texas. I received my acceptance letter for fall 2019 and I will conquer my masters in education law.

I still wanted to continue my dream of helping others while I attended law school and teaching.

One day Unexpectedly, God cross path with myself and Weston Jenkins. The opportunity to help others find joy and happiness in their lives after facing difficulties truly hit home for me and I knew at that moment I was being called to help. Weston’s vision for DOUSA started out as a simple notion to make people who have disabilities feel like they can do anything they want to do while putting aside their worries and stress concerning their situation.

Weston’s Relentlessness at pursuing his dream to help others inspired me to help him so he can make his dream not only come true, but help make it nationally known so He’s not limited to just helping people here in Texas but he could help everyone Out there who needs him.

In June I am hosting a fishing tournament and all the money raised will go to helping DOUSA and Weston accomplish their dreams of helping others.

I will continue the rest of my life Making a difference in my community and helping others achieve their dreams. I am just one person and one voice, but one voice speaks volumes above a crowd. With God standing by my side I will conquer the world beneath my feet And help others conquer the world beneath theirs. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you? Empowerment means to have faith in yourself to accomplish the world Beneath your feet and to have the courage to never give up until you succeed. You not only give yourself Empowerment, you empower others around you.  World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history. I started February 2019 in the Mrs. Texas Regency Pageant. Here I found not only friends, but family and a sisterhood of phenomenal women. It has been such a blessing to create friendships that will forever be. In this Pageant I was 3rd runner up and could not be more excited. I also won the  achievement award for the whole pageant because of my Accomplished platform. I continued to complete in the Bella Rose Pageants where I met more amazing women who are near and dear to me. At this Pageant I was crowned Mrs. Alamo City. I have used this title to help push my House Bill 3403 through the house of public Education at the Texas State Capital. I was successful and Received a unanimous vote within 24 hours From the house of public education and our bill went to the house calendar. I continue my fight against Bullying of Teachers specifically. I also advocate against all bullying Because it has such an adverse effect and is detrimental on the victims.  World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant? I wanted to prepare myself for going up and testifying in the House of Public Education at the Texas state capital on my house Bill 3403. I wanted to build my courage on stage and public speaking. In the end I not only found my courage, but I found a family of women who supported me and who stood behind me.  World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title? I wanted to make a difference in the community and make a difference in this world.  World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? Bella Rose pageantry is about being hands-on in your community and Creating friendships as well as memories that will last you a lifetime. World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition? You are being judged on your Choice of outfit, Composure, Elegance, Attitude, pageant walk, And your smile.  World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. My experience during the competition was a one of a kind. We all got to fellowship backstage as we help the little ones prepare and walk. We all helped one another zip up dresses, Fix things on our outfits, And most importantly share stories and laugh as we wait to walk the stage. It was the most amazing experience being with so many Phenomenal women.  World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for. I was falsely accused as a kindergarten teacher and I never wanted another teacher to experience the trauma I did so I decided I was going to do everything I could to expose Teacher Targeted Bullying. I interned in Pageants, I applied and was excepted into St. Mary’s law school, I Researched and drafted house bill 3403 with the help of state representative Philip Cortez and my best friend Caroline Davis. We address the House Of Public Education where I Testified on my bill And the bill was voted out of the The house of public education unanimously Within 24 hours. We succeeded and brought light to the over 300,000 teachers who are bullied a year.  World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title? I have appeared at the Texas State Capitol testifying on my house bill 3403 that prevents bullying in the workplace, specifically the bullying of teachers. I have also testified on House Bill 3 In the house of public education at the state capital.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements? My biggest achievement that I do every year is taking children that  don’t know their letters or sounds in kindergarten and they leave my classroom reading and writing. Other achievements were being excepted into St. Mary’s Law school And accomplishing getting our house bill 3403 passed through the house public education at the Texas state capital.  World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over? I don’t have a strategy to win the judges Over. I just go out there and let God’s light shine through me. I’m just so honored to have the opportunity to be walking across that stage and I feel so blessed that I get that one moment in time to feel like a true queen.  World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls? I like to think of it as not standing out but standing together. Each one of us is so unique in our own way there’s never one that really stands out more than the other. We are all beautiful, Intelligent, And unique women. Each one of us brings something truly special and Remarkable to the stage.  World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner. The moment my name is called I felt really honored and blessed that I would have the opportunity to represent such a phenomenal sisterhood of women.  World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen? To be a beauty queen means to have a heart of gold, Be brave and courageous so you can shine down on others, Never give up because others look to you for hope, And always remember to let God’s light shine through you.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life? Competing in pageants gave me bravery to be able to public speak and the courage to get up in front of people I don’t now.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image? Pageants helped me to know that I am beautiful as I am and I don’t need to change anything because it’s the confidence and the self-worth that makes me beautiful. After I went through three years of a Groundless lawsuit that stemmed from false accusations I lost my joy and self-worth. The Pageant system help me find myself again and most importantly help me believe in myself and my self worth. The women who I met help me find my strength and Courage. The fellowships are the best part  of all the Pageants.  World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel? I feel truly blessed to have that honor. I pray that God guides me and gives me direction so I can make a difference in the world for others.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk? Honestly, I’m still working on that and it takes a lot of practice and patience. Don’t give up on yourself keep your chin up smile and practice, practice, practice. World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress? If you put the dress on and you feel beautiful then that’s all that matters. Just be sure you follow the guidelines on Length and follow the rules.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview? You need to be self-confident in what you’re Platform is and why it’s important to you. Eye contact is very important in the interview and be sure to smile.  World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition? I practiced walking in my dress with the shoes. I also wore the shoes to work to practice walking in them a lot so that I was comfortable in them. World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it? As I was doing the fashion competition they were Not done talking and I was about to walk off stage so I did a few extra spins. I broke the T-form walk.  World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest? If you’re not used to walking in your shoes and dress sometimes you can trip. It’s like the movie Miss congeniality.  World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience? No, I’m just a kindergarten teacher.  I had to do a lot of practicing.  World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen? For 2019 I’m supporting a nonprofit group called Disabled Outdoorsmen USA. I will be hosting a fishing tournament in June 2019 and all the money raised will go to DOUSA.
