World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
I’m 15 years old, I attend High School where I play volleyball and softball. I am currently taking college classes as a sophomore. My favorite color is burgundy, I have 2 older brother who are both high school graduates. I have red hair and brown eyes. World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?
It means that women build each other up and not make each other down. Women empowerment to me means that women have just as equal rights as men and that women don't have to depend on a man to support their abilities to be just as successful.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
Well I started competing when I was little and I did one pageant but my mom didn't like it so I didn't compete again until I was 13. I then didn't compete for a couple years and I started my pageant journey off by competing for the Ripley's veterans day pageant, after I competed I fell in love with competing and have been ever since.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
What inspired me to do my first pageant was that pageant boost a girls confidence and I wanted to be able to help other girls have the same confidence with their selves as I have for myself.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I chose to compete for my current title because I wanted to represent my home state West Virginia but little did I know I was going to be competing for the national title in July.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
Tourism is all about community service. My director loves to give back to the community, She is the only person I know who loves the community more than the people. Tourism is also all about touring, any time you join the tourism family, you'll have a list of challenges to complete which basically means, go out and show the tourism board your favorite way to travel or to your favorite way to help clean up the environment or even the homeless and nursing homes
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
When competing for tourism, you will be judged on evening gown, interview, state costume. state costume means a costume representing something unknown about your state.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.
My experience during the competition is amazing, you compete with people all across the U.S and you meet the sweetest people you'll ever meet.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
The American Heart Association supports children, and adults with heart problem. For instance when my brother was 3 months old he had to have open heart surgery because he had an extra hole in his heart which kept getting bigger, American Heart Association raises money to care for those children, babies, and adults.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
I have represented at the West Virginia Association Of Fairs and Festivals, I have also attended numerous Fairs and Festivals pageants.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
I have inspired more people to join the tourism family, and I have also inspired other girls that they shouldn’t be afraid to compete in pageants because of their size, or race.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
Well i’m very unique, I have red hair and i love to help my elders and my community. I also love to volunteer at my school to help the homeless.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
When my name was called out as winner, I was honestly in shock, I couldn’t believe that I had won a state level title. I was very excited.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
It means that I have enough confidence to get up in a stage and be who I am in front of toms if people. It also means to me that I am not only representing an amazing title but I am also inspiring other beautiful girls to get up in that stage and be who they are and to not be afraid to stand up for what they believe in.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
Competing in pageant has honestly has such an impact on my life. I have had multiple opportunities to compete for different levels of titles I wouldn’t never gotten if I wouldn’t have competed in pageants. pageants priced to me that I can be myself and not have to be someone is not just for people to like me. They have also boosted my confidence from being very low to being high.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?
Pageants have boosted my self esteem by letting me know that I don’t have to put in a fake smile or pretend to have a different personality just because people don’t like the way I act. my body image changed because I’m comfortable in my own body and I know now that I don’t have to change just because of means girls saying I weight to much or that I’m too small because I’m my own size or a reason.
World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?
It honestly feels amazing, I love being able to help other girls be comfortable in their body like I am mine. Wing an inspiration makes me feel like I’m helping girls boost their confidence but getting them involved in pageantry.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
Never play with your hair on stage or mess with your gown. always keep eye contact with the judges and smile through everything. and never walk fast.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I prepared myself for my competition by getting my dresses, my costume, my makeup and everything I need to help me win ready and packed into he car. But if you’re anything like me I procrastinate and do everything last minuet!!
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?
Never walk too fast and wear shoes your comfortable in. I haven’t really conquered the pageant walk yet but i’m getting close!
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
Some of my tips are if I won’t the perfect dress then i’m going to find a dress that describes me, a dress that I’m comfortable in and a dress dang isn’t too long but isn’t short.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
I don’t really have any tips for winning interview because interview is my weakest for pageants, interviews are not my phase of competition.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
One thing that I've done during competition was that when i was answering on-stage question I was so nervous I said “ummm” and I kept pausing and i just didn’t do as good as I wanted too.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
Mistakes made my other girls during the contest usually are made because their nervous, some people mess with their hair, their dress and sometimes don’t even smile but I too have down these things because I have been so nervous.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
I have no modeling or acting experience.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen?
My plans for 2020 as a queen is too be the best I can be and keep on inspiring girls like they have inspired me. I plan to volunteer and contribute to my community more than I did last year.
World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?
I want to leave behind a legacy of being known or belong beautiful girls be comfortable in their body and their confidence and to just be known. I want people to know me for helping my community and the homeless/ nursing homes. I want to be known for all the good I’ve done to help other girls archive their dreams.
