World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.
My name is Jekaterina Tsaklidi. I am from Estonia and 24 years old. Also I am a mother of my son Alex. I am a model, photomodel and sometimes actress. I have a make-up artist education. Also I have assistant in dentistry and banking education. Mostly I like to spend time with my son, travel and meet with my friends.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.
One day I got a message on facebook from a person asking me to take part in Miss Estonia 2019. As I had already made other plans for that date I really thought if I wanted to take part in it. Now I can say it was the best decision of my life, because after that competition I understood what I really want to do. Four months after Miss Estonia I competed at another pageant and my desire to compete just grew and grew. Later I got a letter from the Estonian international director, that he would like to send me to Malaysia to a competition. I thought long and hard, but 2 weeks beforehand I decided to go and did not regret my decision. I participated in beauty contest Miss Estonia, produced by Tiina Jantson.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?
I was inspired by my family. My mother said that I definitely should go and compete. She knows how much I want to show off myself. And of course I also wanted to participate to get to know what are my best features, to be braver than before and to meet new interesting people. When I was younger I always admired girls who had the courage to test themselves in such competitions and thought to myself, someday I will do the same and try my luck.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
For me it is an honor to represent Estonia at international competitions, I wanted to test myself if I can handle it against an international competitors. So this competition was the best possible option.
World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?
The Mrs Legend International pageant is the brainchild of MLI Beauty Pageant. Being an international pageant held for married women, it helps the contestants showcase their confidence and flair on stage. Besides being a model for the society, each pageant also stands to be a role model for her children, the pride of her husband, and an honor to the family. With peace, beauty, love, intelligence, and success as its main themes, the international pageant strives to project a mature yet sophisticated woman’s image to the world. Additionally, the contestants will be given a golden opportunity to realize their values and spread love.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?
We get judged on an Interview, talent, Fashion, Appearances National Costume and photoshoots. Also we had a fashion week, where they judged our catwalk.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition. I got a lot of new experiences at the competition. New friends and learned a lot about Malaysian culture. We had a lot of fun and everyone helped each other. Of course it raised my confidence a lot.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.
Miss Legend International charity event was visit nursing home. The same is in Estonia, I help people who are ill. Every month I donate to the animal shelter. Everything that has to do with children and animals I can’t stay neutral. I help as much as I can and I know it is very rewarding.
World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?
Many internet news sites wrote about me on their sites, I gave many interviews. After the win I got a lot of offers for photoshoots and to be a judge on two different beauty pageants.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
I have been on a cover of a magazine, my victories at competitions, numerous photoshoots and participations at TV shows.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?
At the Missis Legend International competition I stood out with my looks, as I was so different, For Asia, long blonde hair is something exotic and my facial features differ a lot from the local girls. But truly I believe that what makes me different is what I am in the inside. There are a lot of beautiful people, but inner beauty also has to be there. I am honest, happy, energetic. And if I have a bad mood I stay at home not to bother others with my bad mood.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.
I went to the competition to see how everything is at an international competition. I had no plan to win. When I won my first crown, I thought, this is great and will have a great mood on the flight home. But when I got 4 crowns I was in shock. Extremely happy for myself and could not believe it is happening to me.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?
For me it means a lot. Because many competitions are rigged, the one who pays the most wins, so attributes you bring don’t matter. I am proud that all of my crowns have been earned fairly.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?
I got recognized a lot, news sites wrote about me, I got new friends. Also my confidence and dignity rose.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?
I am myself, smile and let my good energy get to them and always be honest when asked questions.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?
I went to a modeling school, learned how to walk on the catwalk. Met with a dance coach to learn a dance for the talent round. Bought different dresses to make one gorgeous gown for the final.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?
The dress has to be shiny, with a nice tone and comfortable to wear. If there is discomfort, then it is harder to compete. The color needs to match the person wearing it, with the make-up and with your hair color. The more you get attention with your dress, the better.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?
Try not to be nervous. Beforehand think about what questions might be asked and try to answer them in your mind. And always answer clearly and honestly. Always give thanks in the end and smile. World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?
With each competition I get new experiences. I made no mistakes in looking at my results.
World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?
Some were very shy, afraid of the audience.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?
I participated in many fashion shows, such as: Mrs. Legend Fashion Day, Fashion Day in Nautica, October Fashion Day, Jazz Modern. I also participated in several TV shows.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen?
If I get an invitation to participate in a beauty contest, then of course I will participate.
But otherwise I will continue the modeling industry. I deal a lot with my child, family and
