World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself
I am an extroverted woman, with a lot of character, I like challenges, I am independent, hardworking, I have 3 sisters and a brother. Since I was a child, I dreamed and fought to become a journalist, a profession I currently practice. I'm also a writer, I'm about to release my first book.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your contest history
The truth is that I never thought about participating in a beauty contest, because we know that there is usually a prototype of women for beauty contests, however in Queens of the Americas I found that they handle another concept of beauty and I encouraged myself . I was first elected as Miss Petite Americas Paraguay and represented my country in Colombia in the Miss Petite Americas 2019 contest.
World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to participate in your first contest?
What inspired me is that Queen of the Americas is not a beauty contest, but rather a social contest, where women leaders in their communities show that just as they are beautiful on the outside, they also have an inner beauty and are willing to work to serve others.
World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?
I wanted to represent my country, it was a challenge for me, I wanted to break the mold and show that a "normal" short woman is beautiful and also worthy to wear a queen's crown. World Class Beauty Queens: To those who are not familiar with your contest system, please tell us what it is about?
This is a contest that seeks to enhance the beauty of women in their diversity, there are several categories, for example, Teen, Miss, Miss Petite, Young Lady, Classic Lady and Girl of the Americas.
World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged during the competition?
The social action carried out by the candidate before and during her preparation for the contest is judged. In addition, the good presence, the ease and vocation of service, more than anything.
World Class Beauty Queens: How was your experience during the competition?
My experience was wonderful, I lived something completely new for me, I repeat, I never imagined in my life to become a beauty queen by conventions, but in this contest I met wonderful and motivating people.
World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause have you been volunteering for?
I have been a volunteer in the Heroes of the Planet project, focused on goal number 13 of the United Nations Development Goals. I worked with children from the NGO Prossica in the city of Fortaleza, Brazil, where we focused on activities related to climate actions, due to the critical state of our planet due to pollution.
The work is carried out with children from 6 to 14 years old so that they, as children, can become aware of the need to change habits and, therefore, save the planet. We applied theoretical classes, and practices with crafts where the raw material were recyclable objects. We also created a garden also using recycled objects.
World Class Beauty Queens: What presences have you made with your title?
I was invited to several television programs, and soon I will announce my schedule of social activities to work with vulnerable communities in my country. World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?
Achievements at a personal and professional level, I am a journalist, I studied at the university, and to achieve this I had to leave my family, my house, and traveled almost 500 kilometers to reach the capital alone to achieve that dream that thank God I achieved. I also consider it an achievement to have gone as an exchange for the Heroes of the Planet project where I learned, grew as a person and of course and not less important, having achieved the crown of Virreina and Ambassador representing my country.
I can not omit the publication of my first book as one of my most significant achievements, since I have been writing since I was 8 years old and only now can I share my work with the public.
World Class Beauty Queens: What is your strategy on the stage to win the judges?
Being myself, and being sure of who I am, I usually opt for makeup with a natural tendency, and just enjoy the moment.
World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those beautiful girls?
I think that being very sure of who I am, I'm not shy and I really enjoy the presentations. Besides, I do not have the classic body of Miss, I'm short, curvaceous and with tattoos.
World Class Beauty Queens: How did you feel when you heard your name as the winner?
It was a cluster of emotions, I can not describe with words. I felt very proud, and more than anything, I felt that I was doing something nice for my country by taking its name up, the crown is not only mine, it is from Paraguay.
World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean for you to be a beauty queen?
To be a beauty queen is to be an integral woman who is at the service of others, she must demonstrate that her exterior beauty is directly proportional to her inner beauty. To be a queen is to have a vocation for service, it is a responsibility, it is not only to put on a beautiful face, it is work, and above all, a lot of commitment.
World Class Beauty Queens: How have competencies in your life helped you?
They helped me to value myself even more, to strengthen my confidence and above all, to grow as a person, after the competitions I have the firm conviction that in life nothing is impossible. World Class Beauty Queens: How does it feel to be an inspiration to other girls in the world?
It honors me, and above all I tell them not to close, that a woman can be beautiful in any way, being short, chubby, tall, skinny, it does not matter, because what really shines on the face is the beauty of the heart. Girls, understand that, and you can get where you want to go.
World Class Beauty Queens: What have you learned practicing your walk in the contest?
What I learned is that a good posture is synonymous with security, and above all it is the moment where you must expose all your personal confidence.
World Class Beauty Queens: What have you learned when choosing your dress for the competition?
Well, I learned what colors favor me according to the tone of my skin, the cuts with which I felt safe. And feel secure with the garment that shines is essential when presenting in public. It is not always necessary to opt for very tight or very exaggerated garments, everything must be according to the time and place where it will be, in addition it must be combined with the makeup and the right hairstyle, always looking to highlight the beauty of each one.
World Class Beauty Queens: What have you learned about the interviews during the preparation?
I learned that security is the secret, to know what is being talked about, to act naturally, without the need to exaggerate with gestures and very elaborate words.
World Class Beauty Queens: Any experience in modeling or acting?
In acting yes, I was part of the theater cast of my university, I participated in some works. In modeling only during the Queen of the Americas contest. I repeat, I'm not a model but for these competitions I put everything on my part and with the help of my catwalk teacher, Héctor Ramos, I learned to enjoy my presentations.
World Class Beauty Queens: What plans do you have for 2019 as Queen?
Work in favor of children with cancer, make arrangements so that people who want to join this type of collaboration do so in the best way. I have a lot to do, I also have the launch of my book that will also be a fundamental piece in my role as queen and more because my material has educate objective to educate about a health condition. Soy una mujer extrovertida, con mucho carácter, me gustan los desafíos, soy independiente, trabajadora, tengo 3 hermanas y un hermano. Desde muy chica soñé y luché por convertirme en periodista, profesión que ejerzo actualmente. También soy escritora, estoy a punto de sacar a la venta mi primer libro.
World Class Beauty Queens: Cuéntanos sobre tu historia de concursos
La verdad que nunca pensé en participar en un concurso de belleza, pues sabemos que por lo general existe un prototipo de mujer para los concursos de belleza, sin embargo en Reinas de las Américas me encontré con que manejan otro concepto de la belleza y me animé. Primeramente fui electa como Miss Petite Américas Paraguay y representé a mi país en Colombia en el certamen Miss Petite Américas 2019.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que te inspiró a ti para participar en tu primer concurso?
Lo que me inspiró es que Reina de las Américas no es un concurso de belleza, sino más bien es un concurso de carácter social, donde mujeres líderes en sus comunidades demuestran que así como son hermosas por fuera, también poseen una belleza interior y están dispuestas a trabajar para servir a los demás. World Class Beauty Queens: Por qué elegiste competir por tu título actual?
Quería representar a mi país, fue un desafío para mí, quise romper esquemas y demostrar que una mujer “normal” bajita, es hermosa y también es digna de portar una corona de reina.
World Class Beauty Queens: A los que no están familiarizados con tu sistema de concurso, por favor díganos de qué se trata?
Este es un concurso que busca enaltecer la belleza de la mujer en su diversidad, existen varias categorías, por ejemplo, el de Teen, Miss, Miss Petite, Señora Joven, Señora Clásica y Niña de las Américas.
World Class Beauty Queens: ¿En qué estás siendo juzgado durante la competición?
Se juzga la acción social realizada por la candidata antes, y durante su preparación para el concurso. Además, la buena presencia, la desenvoltura y la vocación de servicio, más que nada.
World Class Beauty Queens: Como fue tu experiencia durante la competencia?
Mi experiencia fue maravillosa, viví algo completamente nuevo para mí, repito, jamás imaginé en mi vida el convertirme en reina de belleza por los convencionalismos, pero en este certamen conocí gente maravillosa y motivadora.
World Class Beauty Queens: Cuentanos acerca de tu plataforma o para que causa has sido voluntaria?
He sido voluntaria en el proyecto Héroes del Planeta, enfocado en el objetivo número 13 de los Objetivos de Desarrollo de las Naciones Unidas. Trabajé con niños de la ONG Prossica de la ciudad de Fortaleza- Brasil, donde nos enfocamos en actividades en torno a las acciones por el clima, debido al estado crítico en el que se encuentra nuestro planeta a causa de la contaminación.
El trabajo lo realizamos con niños de 6 a 14 años a fin de que ellos, desde pequeños puedan tomar conciencia de la necesidad de cambiar hábitos y por ende, salvar al planeta. Aplicamos clases teóricas, y prácticas con artesanías donde la materia prima eran objetos reciclables. Además creamos un jardín también usando objetos reciclados.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que presencias has hecho con tu tìtulo?
Fui invitada en varios programas de televisión, y próximamente anunciaré mi cronograma de actividades sociales para trabajar con comunidades vulnerables de mi país.
World Class Beauty Queens: Cuales son algunos de tus logros?
Logros a nivel personal y profesional, soy periodista, estudié en la universidad, y para llegar a esto tuve que dejar a mi familia, mi casa, y viajé casi 500 kilómetros para llegar a la capital sola para alcanzar ese sueño que gracias a Dios lo logré. También califico como un logro el haber ido de intercambio para el proyecto Héroes del Planeta donde aprendí, crecí como persona y por supuesto y no menos importante, el haber logrado la corona de Virreina y Embajadora representando a mi país.
No puedo omitir la publicación de mi primer libro como uno de mis logros más significativos, ya que escribo desde que tengo 8 años y recién ahora puedo compartir con el público mi trabajo.
World Class Beauty Queens: Cual es tu estrategia en el escenario para ganarte a los jueces?
Ser yo misma, y estar segura de quien soy, suelo optar por maquillajes con tendencia natural, y solo disfrutar del momento.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que te hace destacarte de todas esas hermosas chicas?
Creo que el estar muy segura de quien soy, no soy tímida y disfruto mucho de las presentaciones. Además que no tengo el clásico cuerpo de Miss, soy bajita, curvilínea y con tatuajes.
World Class Beauty Queens: Como te sentiste al escuchar tu nombre como ganador?
Fue un cúmulo de emociones, no puedo describir con palabras. Me sentí muy orgullosa, y más que nada, sentí que estaba haciendo algo lindo por mi país al llevar su nombre arriba, la corona no es solo mía, es de Paraguay.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que significa para ti ser una reina de Belleza?
Ser una reina de belleza es ser una mujer íntegra que está al servicio de los demás, debe demostrar que su belleza exterior es directamente proporcional a su belleza interior. Ser una reina es tener vocación de servicio, es una responsabilidad, no es solamente poner una cara bonita, es trabajo, y por sobre todo mucho compromiso.
World Class Beauty Queens: Como te han ayudado las competencias en tu vida?
Me ayudaron a valorarme aún más, a fortalecer mi confianza y por sobre todo, a crecer como persona, después de los concursos tengo la firme convicción de que en la vida nada es imposible.
World Class Beauty Queens: Como se siente ser una inspiracion para otras chicas en el mundo?
Me honra, y por sobre todo les digo que no se cierren, que una mujer puede ser hermosa de cualquier forma, siendo bajita, gordita, alta, flaca, no importa, porque lo que realmente brilla en el rostro es la belleza del corazón. Chicas, entiendan eso, y podrán llegar a donde quieran llegar.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que has aprendido practicando tu caminata en el concurso?
Lo que aprendí es que una buena postura es sinónimo de seguridad, y por sobre todo es el momento donde debes exponer toda tu confianza personal.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que has aprendido al elegir tu vestido para la competencia?
Bueno, aprendí qué colores me favorecen según el tono de mi piel, los cortes con los que me sentí segura. Y sentirse segura con la prenda que se luce es fundamental a la hora de presentarse en público. No siempre se debe optar por prendas muy ajustadas o muy exageradas, todo debe ser acorde a la hora y al lugar donde se estará, además se debe conjugar con el maquillaje y el peinado correcto, siempre buscando resaltar la belleza de cada una.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que han aprendido acerca de las entrevistas durante la preparacion?
Aprendí que la seguridad es el secreto, saber de lo que se está hablando, a actuar con naturalidad, sin necesidad de exagerar con gestos y con palabras muy rebuscadas.
World Class Beauty Queens: Alguna experiencia en modelaje o actuación?
En actuación si, formé parte del elenco de teatro de mi universidad, participé en algunas obras. En modelaje solo durante el concurso Reina de las Américas. Repito, no soy modelo pero para estos concursos puse todo de mi parte y con la ayuda de mi profesor de pasarela, Héctor Ramos, aprendí a disfrutar de mis presentaciones.
World Class Beauty Queens: Que planes tienes para el 2019 como Reina?
Trabajar a favor de los niños con cáncer, hacer gestiones para que las personas que quieran sumarse a este tipo de colaboraciones lo hagan de la mejor manera. Tengo mucho por hacer, además tengo el lanzamiento de mi libro que también será una pieza fundamental en mi rol como reina y más porque mi material tiene educar objetivo educar sobre una condición de salud.
