World Class Beauty Queens: Please tell us about yourself.

I am a happy woman with a lovely husband and two children – a 10 years old daughter and 8 years old son. I’ve been working for more than 10 years as a PR at Bulgarian Ministry of Economy and I love my job. In my free time, I’m writing my new book and refine my abilities to prepare beautiful cakes.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?

As a woman, who has the freedom to take her own decisions and the ability to choose her own endeavors in life, I would encourage each woman to seek her own ambitions, dreams and emotions. Being yourself is a mandatory trait for an empowered and strong woman. On the other hand, the family support and in particular the encouragement of my husband were essential for every step of the way to fulfilling my dreams. The beauty begins at the moment you decide to be yourself.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

Actually, I don’t have a pageant history. This was the first time I took a participation in a pageant.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

Mainly, the inspiration came from my dear friends, who managed to convince me that I would be the perfect candidate to apply for such a beauty contest. Additionally, I had the urge to do something impulsive, a little wild even, which would also have the potential to make my loved ones proud….and maybe see me in ways they are not used to. I was looking forward to making other women look beyond the pure notion of “right” or “wrong” as “there is garden, where we can meet ourselves in another way” as philosopher Rumi put it.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

As mentioned in the previous answer, it was all about my friends that kindle the passion in me to participate in such a contest.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

The system consists of 3 rounds, which determine the winner. In the first round, ladies walk the red carpet in casual dresses. In the second round, we are asked to invite a relative and/or friend who can share with the audience and the jury some thoughts of the person they accompanied. I was to only one amongst the candidates to invite my husband and 2 kids on the stage. In the third round, we are dressed in official evening dress.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

There were several points of judging during the competition as communication, emotional intelligence, behavior, charisma, charity…

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

I was feeling ecstatic. I thought to myself that this would be my glory night and I will do my best to be shining with every step, to be kind and generous towards people around me, to feel comfortable in my skin and emotionally.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

My cause will be close to education. I would strive for finding and proposing more efficient ways of learning i.e. instead of learning by heart, encouraging children to learn with understanding. Finding interesting and emotional ways of learning is a key to success for children in the High School.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

Being Mrs. Bulgaria Europe for almost 3 months and, I took participation in over 20 charities with different missions and causes.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

On a personal level, I am a happy mother of two wonderful children. I am into a job that I love. My career provides me with opportunities to express best who I really am – a sociable and communicative person, who loves positive emotions. As a writer, I have on published poetry book, called “The pocket of the echo” and currently, I am in the process of finishing my second book, which is close to the essay genre. I’m a believer in human possibilities and a teller of beautiful stories – stories, written from the bottom of the heart.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

May be the moment that makes me stand out from the rest, is my family. In second round we have to be presented from some of our loved ones–friends, sisters, mothers, etc. I went at the stage with my family – my husband, my daughter and my son. They were brilliant in their answers. I think that their remarkable, smart and lovely answers gave me the crown.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

It is the second time in my life, when I hear my own name as a thunderbolt striking the ground! I was overwhelmed with the emotion and realization of what had happened to me. The first time, I had a similar feelings was when I won the PhD in Bulgarian Literature competition when I was elected among the few others academics on the subject.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

First of all, it means responsibility to my children, my husband and the people, who gave me their trust. It means also hard work to prove that I deserve the title every day. I would like to be considered as a role model – giving example to others how to live a life as a good and generous person, not only with a beautiful face but with tender soul and warm heart, giving an example of living, of staying in life as a good and kind person, not only with beautiful face, but with a beautiful soul and warm heart.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

My life didn’t change at all for the last several months. I’m the same person I used to be – still waking up early in the morning preparing my kids for school, going to work, cooking dinner, reading books, writing and trying to help others laugh as the smile is the crown on their faces.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

Having won the crown didn’t change my long term ambitions and dreams. It gave the leverage to influence some of the activities I am passionate about – charity and my cause for better education in High Schools. On a personal note, I feel a great deal of satisfaction and stronger trust in my own abilities, which makes for higher self-esteem and encourages me to chase for even greater achievements.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

I am an ordinary girl with a crown. On the other hand, we need to be “extra-ordinary” in our relationships with others. We have to be “extra-ordinary” in our daily stories, personalities moments and life experiences. All of us are queens, we just have to believe it.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

I don’t have a strategy. I stick being myself – a kind, warm and smiling person that I am.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

There was no special preparation. I went directly for the rehearsal.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

I love cat walking.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

An amazing dress should look striking in the first place. It should be colorful and magnificent. It should take your breath away. Wearing it should elevate you in ways that makes you float into the air rather than walk the red carpet.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

Just read my interview for your magazine. It is an honest, open and emotional journey in my life.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

I need to wear shoes with higher heels on the next beauty contest.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

Actually, I was not focused on the other girls. I was just looking at myself and my presentation.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

No, I don’t have any.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2020 as a Queen?

My goal is to give my very best in the upcoming Mrs. Europe competition in Estonia in September. In parallel, I will be keeping my charity initiatives and also my ultimate goal to support the education in my home country Bulgaria.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I hope that I can inspire a little bit of happiness all around me. As people, we are not designed to live alone but rather extend our hands toward each other, be together and experience happiness, love and inspiration.
