World Class Kings Magazine: Please tell us about yourself. I am a humble man who works and takes care of himself. I am honest and sociable. I am a loyal friend and adore my friends. I have three professions. I have graduated from a state college holding a qualification in traffic management and organization. But I am not busy with that profession. I have liked painting and modeling since my childhood, that is why I chose designing as my second profession. I have completed a course of designing clothes. My third profession is modeling, which is also my hobby. I have been doing modeling for about four years. I do sports and go to the gym where I relax after hard working days. Currently I am working as a cashier at one of the oldest restaurants in Yerevan. I never avoid working and have strived to work since my school years. When I was a schoolboy I used to go and gather apricots in the fields. My family was against my working as I was the only boy in the family. But I would run away in the mornings and would work till late for money to support my mother. I have weathered the storm of difficulties in my life in order to achieve everything I have now. World Class Kings Magazine: Why did you chose to compete for your title? In the beginning I did not have the desire to get the trophy. Of course, it would be a great pleasure to get the Grand Prix but it was more important for me to participate in that prestigious competition. I only did my best not to come back to Armenia with empty hands, and it worked out, I came back with two prizes. It was the first timer Armenia took part in such an international contest and I was doing my utmost to represent my country with honor. But after reaching India and getting acquainted with the everyday life of Indian people, especially children, I decided to fight for Grand Prix as it would give me an opportunity to help children who do not have a future and are even illiterate. They can only beg for money to survive. I got really shocked by what I saw. The desire to win took over me as I realized that after winning the contest I could be given the opportunity to have my personal input into saving children who suffer from various illnesses. World Class Kings Magazine: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about? The competition was called “Mister Model Worldwide”. A model was to be chosen in the world for 2018. The competition was held by “Rubaru” company whose director was Sandeep Kumar. Overall, 26 contestants from different countries were taking part in the competition, including me. Our working day started at 4 am. We had photo sessions, interviews, preoperational works and training every day. We would get very tired at the end of the day but at the same time it was very pleasant. We were given an opportunity to spend a week together and communicate. It was important for the organizers to know and understand each participant. You could not win the contest by just fulfilling all the given criteria. Every detail was being taken into account. World Class Kings Magazine: Which part of the competition was most fun for you?
During the first show, where national garments were represented, I had a very wide and long wrapper. When I wanted to turn round it wrapped round my feet and I had to jump instead of walking. It was very funny for me. World Class Kings Magazine: Which part of the competition was most challenging for you?
The contest was definitely competitive, and if you are taking part in it, you compete with the contestants. But it was not challenging for me as I had great relationships with all the contestants and was heartily glad for my friends’ achievements.
World Class Kings Magazine: What inspired you to do your first pageant? There have been challenging moments in my life though, and they ended up with victory. In 2017 “Oriflame Fashion Week” took place in Yerevan. I represented clothes of a young designer called Varduhi Barseghyan. Our team won that contest. I wore one of her garments at the Talent stage of the contest organized in India. I have lived and felt the pleasure of triumph. Being chosen “Mister Armenia Model 2018” really inspired me. It was a great success for me. It gave me an opportunity to take part in an international contest. I was inspired by new acquaintances and friends and of course by being in Delhi. I am very proud of being a participant of “Mister Model Worldwide 2018” and I thank everybody for fine reception and treatment, especially Sandeep Kumar.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are some of you achievements? My first great successes are my prizes and my friends. Among my achievements I also can mention new business offers, photo sessions and, of course, the fame. It is a great success for me to be interviewed by this magazine.
World Class Kings Magazine: tell us about your platform or what charity you volunteer for? I am a very humble man and I must not say I am on a high stage. This stage requires a great responsibility. I am a punctual person and take everything very seriously. I have a great desire to help those who live in orphanages. Children are my weakness.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are some of the appearances that you've done? I presented classical, national and Indian characters during the competition.
World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your evening wear? My evening dress was a tuxedo. It was given to me by my main sponsor “Nobby-brand” clothing store.
World Class Kings Magazine: Tell us about your national costume? The national dress was given by “Teryan Cultural Center”. Among a few national garments I chose an ancient royal one. I wanted to show everyone one of our kings’ outfits.
World Class Kings Magazine: What makes you stand out from all those other guys? Yes, I differ from the other boys. I do not gossip about people, especially about girls. I try to bypass criticizing others. I am kind to everyone, respect people and I have an international mindset. I have my own style and sense of fashion.
World Class Kings Magazine: How did it feel to hear your name as the winner? I have not won that contest. It was a pleasant surprise for me when I heard my name for the second time. I could not believe my ears. My friends prompted me “Armenia! That is you!” It was a great moment and I can’t explain the feelings I had then.
World Class Kings Magazine: What does the stole symbolizes to you? I represented a scarf during the stage “Talent”. The scarf was symbolical. It was tied in different ways and looked like a tree with many branches. I colored it with paints and after untangling I had a new beautiful scarf.
World Class Kings Magazine: What does it mean to you to be a King? To be a king means to be powerful and fair, not cruel to his people. As for me the king must provide prosperous life for his people. If someday I become a king there would not be poor and hungry people in my country. Nobody would be in need.
World Class Kings Magazine: Any Modeling, Film, acting or music experience you would like to share? I have gathered experience in modeling. I have designed a few dresses which I have not published yet. My best experience has been “Mister Model Worldwide 2018”.
World Class Kings Magazine: What are your plans for 2019 as a King? I’ve planned to take part in other contests and promote the clothes designed by me.
World Class Kings Magazine: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind? Nowadays I have no heritage to leave behind. But after some 30 years I would like to leave an institution behind me where homeless and unprotected children would live having a hope for a bright future. Today I have only my kindness and sympathy towards them. I shall do my best to realize my dreams.
I know that all the problems I encounter will seem much bigger and more disturbing when I face them alone. I can cope with all the problems that will occur. I am strong enough to deal with them. World Class Kings Magazine would like to say thank you for this amazing interview.
