World Class Beauty Queens: What does women Empowerment means to you?

Women empowerment is the ability that women have to encourage and support one another despite what circumstances they are in.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your pageant history.

I have been competing in pageants since I was 8 years old, have held many titles and have absolutely loved every minute of it.

World Class Beauty Queens: What inspired you to do your first pageant?

My mom and I decided to try something new after seeing an ad for a local pageant on Facebook.

World Class Beauty Queens: Why did you choose to compete for your current title?

I love the morals and family feel that the galaxy system brings and I feel that I embody everything they stand for.

World Class Beauty Queens: To those unfamiliar with your pageant system please tell us what is it about?

The galaxy system is a pageant system like no other! The directors and staff welcome you as a family from the moment you register. Galaxy does not look for representatives from a certain background, they believe in looking for the beauty and confidence in girls from within and truly demonstrate how it is about whats inside that matters.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are you being judged on during the competition?

During the competition, you are being judged on stage presence and confidence during beauty, fun fashion, swimwear, and ability to carry a conversation in interview.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your experience during the competition.

My experience during the competition was amazing! All of the girls were so supportive of one another regardless of the fact that we're competing against each other.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about your platform or what cause do you volunteer for.

My platform is juvenile homelessness. I feel very strongly about ending this issue, which is why I created a foundation called Alexa's Closet that brings this issue to light while donating basic necessities to less fortunate in my community.

World Class Beauty Queens: What appearances have you done with your title?

With this title, I have volunteered at many organizations like the Ronald McDonald House. Feeding Children Everywhere and Children's Cancer Center as well as support other pageant friends with my sister queens.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are some of your achievements?

I am very big on academics, with that being said I am an honor roll student, in the National Honors Society and a varsity cheerleader.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is your on stage strategy to win the judges over?

To win over the judges, I focus on commanding their attention with personality, stage presence and confident walk. I like to keep strong eye contact and channel my inner Beyonce for extra fierceness.

World Class Beauty Queens: What makes you stand out from all those other beautiful girls?

When competing, I get the chance to grace the stage with some of the best competitors. What sets me apart is my ability to communicate with and inspire girls from all walks of life. My experiences in an international school program have allowed me to become a more open-minded and well rounded person which helps me connect with others.

World Class Beauty Queens: Tell us about the moment your name was called out as the winner.

When my name was called as the winner, I couldn't believe it! The moment was so surreal to me. Competing against the best of the best in Florida, anyone would have been perfect for that title and I am so thankful that the judges chose me.

World Class Beauty Queens: What does it mean to you to be a Beauty Queen?

Being a beauty queen means far more than expressing your beauty externally, its about so much more. To be a queen is to be active, visible, and inspiring. A queen should be active in her community to set a positive example and visible in a positive way to act as a role model for all eyes watching her. She should do everything in her power to encourage others to tackle their goals with no hesitation to show that anything is possible.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did competing in pageants helped your life?

Competing in pageants taught me many valuable lessons including how to work for what i want and to never give up. I gained a lot of confidence and courage to do things like speak of an audience which I couldn't have have done without pageants.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did pageants helped your selfesteem and body image?

Pageants have helped my self-esteem to a vast extent! Through the encouragement and support of everyone around me, I can now confidently walk the runway in a swimsuit and talk about myself in a interview without any doubt in my mind.

World Class Beauty Queens: You are an inspiration to all the girls out there. How does it feel?

It feels amazing to know that I am inspiring others and potentially changing the lives of girls everywhere. Helping others have always been a passion of mines and its amazing to know that I am making a difference while doing what I love.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for learning better pageant walk?

Definitely use your resources! With all good technology we have today, take advantage of it. I improved my pageant walk by learning from the best. I would suggest going on youtube and watching Miss Universe/USA walks but most importantly practice until you are comfortable and confident.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for choosing right pageant dress?

When finding the perfect gown, make sure you are a hundred percent comfortable. I know when I find "the perfect grown" as soon as I put it on. Choose a gown that compliments your skin tone, and body type but most of all, your personality.

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your tips for winning interview?

To ace interview, be yourself! Although they are looking for the "perfect candidate" for this job, the judges want to get to know you for you. Go into your interview as if you are having a conversation with your best friend. Keep it professional but stay natural and tell your story.

World Class Beauty Queens: How did you prepare for your competition?

There is a lot of work that goes into preparing for a competition. Personally, I do lots of practice and a full run through with all of my outfits to make sure that everything is perfect. Once that is all done, I go and do the fun stuff like get my nails and hair done. Days leading up to the pageant, I try to keep a positive attitude and calm state of mind to put everything that I worked so hard for, to practice once I hit the stage.

World Class Beauty Queens: What is one mistake that you've done during competing you wish you could redo and fix it?

The biggest mistake I've made was at a national pageant where I got on stage and forgot my introduction. I let my surroundings and the pressure get the best of me but I actually don't wish I could go back and fix it. Although that was the biggest moment of my pageant career, I believe that everything happens for a reason. I use that as a learning experience, to get on stage and do better next time.

World Class Beauty Queens: What other mistakes are made by girls during the contest?

Its common for girls to mess up a speech or a routine that they have planned, mainly because of all the pressure they have put on them to do better than everyone else. The girls should go and be the best version of themselves without having to worry about their competitors.

World Class Beauty Queens: Any modeling or acting experience?

I love modeling but have only done it in modeling portions of pageants. However, I would love to further my modeling career in the future!

World Class Beauty Queens: What are your plans for 2019 as a Queen?

My plans are to spread a positive message, act as a role model, kill it at nationals and represent my great state to the best of my ability.

World Class Beauty Queens: What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

I want to leave a legacy like no other. I want others to know that the 2019 Teen Florida Galaxy queen set the bar high in acting as a leader in her community and inspiring others to do the same.
